Here we are, it’s May again! May is always an exciting (and hectic!) time in our household. It is the anniversary of buying our Eichler home (2013), starting my design firm (2016), Mother’s Day, and usually the culmination of many things like the end of our kids’ soccer and baseball seasons. It is also Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month! #aapi I am a proud Filipina-American. I started my professional career at 19, taking a contract to dance with the Oregon Ballet Theatre. A new month; means a fresh start. A goal without a plan is just a wish. People ask me all the time how I’m able to juggle everything and still be successful. It’s because I’ve become habitual about my routines. Saturday mornings are normally my planning time; I time block my weeks and focus on what’s high priority (urgent) and what’s low priority (can do later) meal planning, work planning, goal planning, life planning, kid schedules ALL OF IT goes on the schedule . The only way you are going to set yourself up for success is by having A PLAN. You ask any successful person and they will tell you; when they took the time to make a plan things skyrocketed. You name it your nutrition isn’t great; make a plan. Your fitness is off track; make a plan and schedule. You want to build a business or advance in your career; make a plan. You’re always feeling rushed and kids have a million things to do; write out a schedule. Need more time with your spouse; plan a DATE NIGHT but put it on the calendar. The point is nothing in life works WITHOUT A PLAN! ✅ workouts scheduled ✅ meal planning done ✅ work stuff scheduled ✅ activities scheduled Meal planning tip: Write it out and make a grocery list at the same time.
