Throwback series Pt. 5 Adventuring with my 🐛. Post pregnancy I felt like I was having an identity crisis. Honestly I probably was. I was fighting to show myself that even though I am a mom now, I still am me. I stay rooted in that thought every day. I always remind myself that I still matter as an individual. My babies wouldn't be as great as they are, if I didn't value me as much as I do them. Taking my daughter on so many adventures, especially one on one was one of the best chapters of my existence. She is so adaptable and aware of this big beautiful world. Having two now makes it harder to adventure in certain ways (mostly because I can't carry them both) but it also has forced me to be creative with my surroundings and to find new ways to explore and show them everything that is amazing. ✨Most of these trips were from a trip to BC- where I was sooooo thankful to have @natsthegray fly us out and show us the Island. You’ve been a 6 am riser since the first day we brought you home and the last one to want to go to bed at night. You are set in your ways and thrive best with a daily routine. You are like me and rarely watch television but keep busy all day, every day with your creativity while painting, coloring, and crafting. You enjoy being active, the outdoors, and swimming. Plus, Halanna is the biggest ball of energy, she is persistent, brave and brilliant! She is creative, hilarious and independent. From capturing all the content, to editing on professional software, to creating something unique with the 200 photos and videos you just took, writing out captions, knowing which hashtags to use, knowing what time to post, song to choose…the list goes on and on. Don’t forget to laugh at the bloopers, there will be a few of them when going through all the photos/video. 🫠 I forgot the most IMPORTANT PART! 😱 Make sure you’re listening to the brand/business you are creating for. Pay attention to branding colors, vibes, personalities. Ask what they would like to feature about their business and make that your main focus…not your only focus, they are expecting you to come up with something creative that’s suited to the style of your page…I mean that’s why they came to you right?! Don’t completely overhaul your ways of creating to accommodate the brand in question. First, your content will no longer be considered as ugc as it’s no longer authentic. Second, your work may not be as good…it’s not your style. Third, you know your capabilities. Never devalue yourself or the work you create to “people please”. However, we all had to start somewhere. Building your portfolio and offering free sessions to businesses is a great way to get your name out there and build with your community. Meet face to face so you’re not just another creator behind a screen. Most companies have a marketing budget with social media being the cheapest means. No, that doesn’t mean you work for free. We don’t do that here. Prices are not set and working within your budget is important. Throwback to when we started our solids journey. We started giving him solids at 5 months since the doctors were concerned with his weight. We did combination of baby led weaning and puréed. It was not an easy journey and at 16 months some days are better than others. But definitely baby led weaning has helped us in including little boy in meal times so I don’t have to keep making his own food he can just eat whatever we have.
