Penn Shore Vineyards obtained one of the first two winery licenses issued by the state of Pennsylvania in 1968 and opened the winery in 970. We love this winery. If you are ever out near Fredonia, NY find them. The wine is great and the people are wonderful. We are members of their wine club and every quarter we drive up to collect our wine and they throw a little party for their members. In March, I had to email them after we had RSVP’d to say we couldn’t make it because just a week before the party we had been exposed to a presumed positive covid-19 case and asked if they could ship us our wine. They did and we received it today with a handwritten note from their winemaker, who we have had many lovely conversations with about wine and our own brewing, hoping we are doing ok and if we needed anything to let them know.
