La grande douvroise 2024 🏃🏻♂️ Dimanche dernier c’était le trail de Douvres, l’occasion de revoir les copains de Lyon pendant ce long week end et par la même occasion d’enfiler un nouveau dossard L’occasion pour moi de m’essayer sur une plus longue distance que d’habitude avec du dénivelé ! 📈 Départ à 8h pour 30km, faux plat montant dès le début, je pars avec le groupe de tête mais me fait rapidement distancer, je me cale donc sur un rythme plus raisonnable. Au 12eme km le début des grosses difficultés, le mur qui m’en a bien fait baver. Puis 3 autres grosses difficultés au 17/21 et 23eme km. En résumé c’était de la boue, des racines, des cailloux et du dénivelé, que de l’amour ! 30km / 1200D+ Je m’offre tout de même une jolie 15eme place sur 95 participants, on reviendra peut être l’année prochaine pour faire mieux, et mieux entraîné ! Forest Trail Run 2023- My first forest trail run , sheer fun in chilling weather at morning 5.30 am , 8 km trail in forest with hardly 1ft width trail , at times with a feeling of lost in the forest .. over all a very unique experience Thanks to Uppal runners for organising with lot of planning and executed with care . Yet, there is a lot you can experience as you see animals run past and fast, peacocks calling out and koels making a dash for cover. Taking a pause, not just to catch my breath but the breathtaking view of the morning sun, the foliage around, and the trees swaying to the cold breeze.

I love the smell of the forest after a rain. Nice cool morning run today. But boy it was a tough day. Not sure what the deal was but every step of the rum today was a struggle, from beginning to end.
