“I’m brave enough to try” that’s what my 3 year old told me before we attempted to ride down a big hill. I just sat there in awe of him. Back story: we rode down a really big hill (century link bridge- he insisted on it lol) and he crashed! He was fine with no scratches but it was scary to him. While we were riding bikes he made a connection between Hills and The Bible story of David and Goliath. He’s been learning it for weeks and can tell/act out the story. His Mimi told him that David was brave enough to try. But here is a little 3 year old little boy taking something he learned from his Bible and applying it to something scary and fearful in his life. Wow, I don’t know about y’all but that stopped me in my tracks-reality check. The fact that he can make that connection and apply it to his situation at 3 years old is proof that we can do it too. Every single day! Bubba you are absolutely right. You are brave enough to try. You are going to do great things in this world and I’m here for it 🙌🏼! Blessed to be your mommy. P.s. We went to buy a bike so I could ride with him. I went straight to the mountain bike and asked him if I should get that one. He said no, and then with the biggest smile ran over to this bike and said “This is the one momma, it has room for my snacks and juice”. I choose to focus on you today! Even though we only got 2.5 hours of sleep last night and I feel like I’m losing my mind.... 🤷🏼♀️ motherhood makes those previous hardships before you feel like child's play. Being tough has never been an issue for me, even recovering from the c section wasn’t a bad experience for me personally... 3 weeks post baby and I was strong enough to return to work. However I learned how strong I could and couldn’t be with you. Like how to function off no sleep, repping spit up in my hair, how to pump/wash bottles, and prep more bottles while you sleep, what a blow out means and how to shower us both at the same time, who showers and brushes there teeth anyways with a newborn 🤣 much less gets dressed for the day! Haha but we’ve done it and managed to make most of my work days. Your one sided smile and squeaky noises this morning when I was struggling made it all worth forgetting everything else but you! I immediately forgot all other responsibilities and enjoyed the present moment with you all morning. I can’t believe it’s been a month already, Time really does fly by. I’ve learned so much in such a little time. But what I refuse to do is let the little things pass us by without getting to see and enjoy them with you. You have already grown so much and I dream about your future daily. 1 Month Old today!
