39) S.O.S FANTÔMES, LA MENACE DE GLACE de Gil kenan Hollywood est en manque d'inspiration et donc pour faire quelques billets verts, il relance de vieilles franchises et joue sur la sensibilité, le retour en enfance, la nostalgie. Mais avant tout, il faut un scénario qui tient la route. Toute la communication a été faite sur un cataclysme effroyable et on se retrouve avec quelques flocons de neige ( j'exagère un peu) seulement vers la fin. C'est bourré de références pour plaire aux fans mais ça reste une pâle copie de l'original. Le début est prometteur mais après on suit une famille normale avec des soucis relationnels entre enfants et (beaux)-parents. On a l'impression que la chasse aux fantômes passe en second plan pendant une bonne partie du film. Jamais le réalisateur arrive à créer un monde terrifiant, faire naître une créature démoniaque et enfin s'affranchir d'un monde de bisounours pour enfin faire un film qui peut faire peur. Comme Indiana Jones ou autre suite de films cultes des années 80, vouloir toujours faire revenir l'équipe originelle pour donner plus de poids et de valeurs au film semble une mauvaise idée car ça gâche l'image de nos héros passés. Manque de dynamisme, un peu insipide, il faut très souvent parler du passé pour pas que le spectateur s'ennuie. Mauvais. Fantômes doivent unir leurs forces pour protéger leur demeure et sauver le monde d'une seconde ère glaciaire. Avis : Nous sommes face à ce qu'il se fait de pire en termes de blockbuster moderne. C'était mauvais mais je n'ai pas subi ma séance car le seul point positif du film c'est son rythme. Le reste c'est absolument catastrophique, le scénario est vide c'est dommage d'avoir un casting avec des gens aussi talentueux et que tout le monde joue mal. On est dans un surjeux constant, il y a des sous Intrigues peu intéressantes, mais le pire de tout c'est l'humour qui est d'une tristesse absolue. Il y a des blagues toutes les 20 secondes, trop de personnages comics reliefs qui viennent péter l'ambiance. Quand Nadeem dit "ces objets étaient à ma grand-mère j'y tiens beaucoup... Allez-y fait moins une offre" on envie de lui dire de la fermer. Quand un personnage dit face à l'antagoniste principal un truc du genre "il est effrayant mais super stylé" comme si les gars se félicitent d'avoir trouvé un beau design. Ou encore pire quand Nadeem demande du feu pour vaincre l'antagoniste principal Dan Aykroyd dit "je n'en ai pas j'ai arrêté de fumer il y a 30 ans" ce qui était une information dans ce fiché et Bill Murray répond "à l'époque j'étais fier de toi aujourd'hui je le suis toujours" je rappelle qu'ils sont face au grand méchant pendant le dernier acte et je trouve ça pathétique. Je garde un bon souvenir de l'héritage et j'avais plutôt hâte de celui-ci et pour moi c'est une déception. Dite quello che vi pare ma io mi sono commosso. Vedere la macchina degli Acchiappafantasmi sfrecciare per le vie di New York mi ha stretto subito un groppo in gola. Il continuo alternarsi del vecchio che introduce il nuovo (Winston e il polo di stoccaggio/ricerca) e il nuovo che si accomoda nel vecchio (la famiglia Spengler nella base dei Ghostbusters) mi ha estasiato. La solida minaccia di un cattivo credibile è costruita con mestiere e attenzione al franchise ma non mancano degli scivoloni (il ghiaccio - si sa - è infido!). Se da un lato abbiamo la costruzione di un "Mastro di fuoco" ben strutturata (grazie anche ad un Kumail Nanjiani semplicemente perfetto) - con la lore della nonna che meriterebbe una storia a parte - sul fronte aldilà non sono ben chiari i poteri del villain che pare poter congelare/sussurrare a piacimento anche nella prigione d'ottone in cui è confinato. Sbavature che non intaccano la bontà della trama ma fanno incespicare la sospensione dell'incredulità. Ottimi i momenti di tensione con l'alternanza di fantasmi burloni e soggetti poco raccomandabili (anche vecchie glorie), un po' meno l'innesto dei vari Ray, Winston, Janine e Peter nel quadretto della famiglia Spengler; in alcune fasi sono funzionali alla storia - vedasi Ray nei panni di appassionato di occulto o Winston in quelli di uomo d'affari o, seppur stiracchiato, Peter che sottopone Nadeen ai suoi test bislacchi - ma vederli ancora con la tuta, a me, fa un brutto effetto. GUEST MOVIE REVIEW || Dendy Powerhouse Outdoor Cinema – Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire Movie Review with Nina the Cavoodle! I have something to confess. I’ve got a mad puppy crush on the human Paul Rudd, I think he’s pawsome! Not quite as pawsome as my two humans but pretty darn close. So when I saw his face pop up on my mom’s picture slab, I made sure she knew of his appeal to me. How did I accomplish this? By sitting on it and not getting up. Seems the picture was attached to something called Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire. This collection of moving images is called a movie. Now most rooms that show these moving images don’t allow puppies, can you imagine? So when my humans realised my attraction, after many nudges, they found a place for me and my fellow doggies to enjoy these moving pictures. Turns out it was outdoors as well. When we arrived, there were so many potential new best friends I couldn’t contain my excitement and there were good smells everywhere as well. As the images flickered all the humans were laughing and having a good time but there was a problem. Almost all of them had these hot food discs that smelled wonderful and I wasn’t allowed any of them. What gives? Don’t they make any puppy-approved ones? All of the humans seemed to love being outdoors with their dogs and I got so many cuddles and pats, it was so much fun. So humans out there don’t forget that we, your four-legged friends love to be outdoors and see the moving images too, especially if Paul Rudd is in them. Io ho legame fortissimo con il film dei Ghostbusters, è stato il primissimo film che ho visto al cinema e quindi per me quel titolo e quei personaggi susciteranno in me sempre una reazione emotiva ed anche per questo che avrò sempre hype per progetti legati a questo franchisee. Legacy fu un film che amai per tanti motivi, sia le novità che le citazioni e richiami ai vecchi film, ed era un po' questo che mi aspettavo per questo nuovo capitolo ma purtroppo da una parte ritroviamo le atmosfere più simili ai primi film ma dall’altra vediamo tutta la costruzione narrativa dei personaggi del film precedente svanire completamente. Mi piange il cuore dover dire che questo film non mi è piaciuto, lo salvo dall’insufficienza semplicemente perché è Ghostbusters altrimenti sarei stato decisamente più negativo nel mio giudizio. Ok, siamo tornati a New york, ok c’è la caserma, ci sono tanti elementi classici della saga però cosa ne è stato dei personaggi di Legacy, li avevamo lasciati che avevano un loro carattere, delle loro personalità ben distinte…invece molti dei personaggi principali in questo film sono stati relegati a ruoli di contorno con una caratterizzazione pari a zero che sono presenti solo per fare una gag o da spalla ad altri personaggi. In Legacy doveva essere il passaggio di consegne tra la vecchia generazione di acchiappafantasmi e la nuova invece in Minaccia glaciale troviamo la vecchia guardia (non tutti) avere addirittura più screen time rispetto all’80% del cast nuovo, altra cosa che mi ha fatto storcere il naso è l’involuzione che ha avuto la protagonista che nel film precedente era la deus ex machina che risolveva tutto dimostrandosi più matura rispetto addirittura agli adulti mentre qui diventa quasi una bambina capricciosa che si ribella e che fa scelte insensati perché si. Ma se togliamo tutti gli elementi legati ai personaggi, la storia ricorda molto i primi Ghostbuster ma senza quel cuore e quell’ironia che li contraddistingueva…anche la minaccia, resta solo una minaccia visto che gli hanno ritagliato veramente uno minutaggio misero perché potesse fare realmente paura e apprensione ai protagonisti…peccato speriamo che con il terzo si riprenda.

⠀ 영화 <고스트 버스터즈 : 오싹한 뉴욕>을 관람하였다. 이번 작품에 대한 혹평이 쏟아지고 있으나 2016년 리부트 버전 <고스트 버스터즈>도 나쁘지 않게 봤을정도로 '고스트 버스터즈' 시리즈를 좋아해서 평가에 연연하지 않고 극장을 찾았다. 리부트 작품의 실패로 고스트 버스터즈 시리즈의 명맥이 끊어질 뻔했지만 원작 시리즈를 연출했던 '아이반 라이트만'의 아들 '제이슨 라이트만'이 원작에 대한 예우를 통한 '시리즈 정통성'과 새로운 캐릭터들이 조화를 이루는 <고스트 버스터즈 라이즈>를 내놓은 덕분에 시리즈를 다시 이어갈 수 있게 되었다. 마이너한 괴짜 과학자들이 주인공이고 번뜩이는 아이디어에 'ILM'의 마법 같은 CG를 더해 만든 80년대 <고스트 버스터즈 시리즈>. 과거에 많은 사람들의 사랑을 받았던 작품에 새로운 것들만 넣기에는 원작의 색이 옅어지고 원작에 관한 내용만 다루기에는 새로운 관객에게 커다란 진입장벽이 되기 때문에 신, 구 조화가 무엇보다 중요하다. 이 작품도 그런 고민의 흔적이 보였다. 여러 오마주에 원작의 인물, 설정들을 그대로 끌고 가면서 전작에서 등장했던 '이곤 스펭글러'의 후손인 '스펭글러' 가족과 개리, 팟 캐스트 등 여러 캐릭터들이 이번 작품에서도 '새로움'을 주기 위해 고군분투한다. 하지만 아쉬웠던 부분은 이번 작품에서 세계관 확장을 염두한 것인지 '파이어 마스터'같은 여러 새로운 설정들이 추가된 것을 볼 수 있는데, 그것 때문에 전작 <고스트 버스터즈 라이즈>에서 끝났어야 할 세계관 설명이 이번 작품까지 이어지고 전체적인 빌드업 과정이 지루해서 영화가 쳐지는 느낌을 받았다. 거기에 호들갑을 부린 것 치고는 너무나도 싱거웠던 빌런과 피비가 중심이 돼서 흘러가는 서사가 뭔가 영화 속에 제대로 녹아들지 못한 느낌이 들어서 아쉬웠다. 그래도 피비 자체는 여전히 매력 있었다. 전작에서 안경이 흘러내릴 정도로 애기애기한 모습이 귀여웠는데, 이번 작품에서는 훌쩍 커버린 모습을 볼 수 있다. I don’t wanna not like this. I really, really don’t. Maybe it’s an even #movie thing (discounting female #Ghostbusters because they’re not in the same universe). And it’s not that I don’t like it either. There’s some good stuff too. There’s just too much fan service, waaaay too many characters & they all get the short shrift. Then, there’s the plot, w/ the main bad guy not even appearing until the end. Look, the villain in the 1st 1 is not Gozer. It’s Walter #WilliamAtherton. W/o Walter Gozer is stuck. This time, we have Walter, but he’s basically just a punchline. I don’t even know the name of the outside threat, but once again spectral containment is breached & the city is in danger. Once that happens, the new busters take a backseat to the old, w/ the exception of Phoebe #McKennaGrace, who gets a sorta gay subplot w/ spectral friend Melody #EmilyAlynLind. But even that gets shorty shrift, as Melody is part of something bigger. Rudd & Coon are reduced to almost day players, w/ most of their best lines comping from the trailer. Wolfhard isn’t even needed for the story. The whole idea of handing off the baton is buried under fan service. Now, do I like to see Stantz & Venkman? Heck yeah! But there’s little reason for them there. THEN, it’s not really the Ghostbusters that save the day. It’s a whole other new character played by #KumailNanjiani (who has also like, but now we have roughly 12 lead characters & a host of supporting ones). Afterlife was a legit hit, so IDK why they didn’t explore more of what made that a hit. This 1 just left me tired & disappointed. We’ve done NYC. GHOSTBUSTERS: FROZEN EMPIRE (2024) | 12 | comedy | 115 mins | NEW MOVIE REVIEW The new Ghostbusters return in Frozen Empire and join forces with the original crew to save New York from a spooky antagonist with sinister intentions. In other words, Ghostbusters are doing Ghostbuster things. If memory serves, 2021’s Ghostbusters: Afterlife was a fairly entertaining and surprisingly emotional entry in this franchise. Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire brings back all the characters introduced there and does nothing with them, mixing them in and amongst a bunch of story threads that don’t always coalesce clearly. With so much going on, though, the film is rarely boring, and the references and appearances of legacy characters make for a, not fulfilling, but smirk-worthy time at least. Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire is the very definition of ‘fine’: it’s not boring enough to be bad, but it’s not good enough to even be worth recommending. If you’re a Ghostbusters fan who has to see all the films in the franchise, you’ll probably have a good enough time, but, like a ghost, this one will fade with time. Rating: 6/10
ghostbusters: frozen empire • C+ @ghostbusters 👀 in theaters 🎬 okay so I fully admit I’ve never seen the original ghostbusters, so I think a lot of the nostalgia of the direction they’re steering the ghostbusters franchise in now is lost upon me. but what I could definitely tell is that there were a lot of callbacks to the original movies, characters, etc. throughout their latest movie and even though I don’t have much appreciation for them, I think genuinely a lot of those callbacks were pretty unnecessary 🎬 if I remember correctly, I did enjoy the previous ghostbusters where they introduced all the new characters into this world better than this one. I appreciated that it was unique and it was going to be like this new age young kiddos kind of ghostbusters, but now that it has all been meshed into one in this one...it just feels sort of messy and like way too many characters lol 🎬 you barely get to spend time with any one character since there are so many they have to bounce around in between and it takes place in such a different point than where they left off that it’s hard to connect the dots at times of who’s who and why each one of them are where they are within NYC now 🎬 also this ghostbusters was definitely a little bit extra spooky, which was just slightly unnerving to me because a lot of them were jumpscares that I could not brace for! I found myself closing my eyes and still flinching quite a bit, which is not my typical kind of movie-going enjoyment okay! 🎬 I think this movie could have been a bit better had it been shorter. we took a lot time to get to the climactic sequence of events and it definitely felt like it dragged a lot in the second act when everything was pretty predictable in how it was all going to play out 🎬 ultimately, if you’re a ghostbusters fan of yore, this is definitely a movie for you. otherwise...meh! 🎬 #ghostbusters #ghostbustersfrozenempire #whoyougonnacall #paulrudd #mckennagrace #finnwolfhard #billmurray #erniehudson #kumailnanjiani #moviereview #sitv #screeningintothevoid

Another year, another instalment in a beloved, classic franchise! Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire follows the trial and tribulations of the Spengler clan, picking up after the events of 2021's Afterlife, and just like its predecessor it's a bit of a mixed bag. Mckenna Grace continues to excel as Phoebe, providing the emotional core of the film and adding a much-needed sense of realism and relatability in a world full of paranormal madness. The story itself is (pardon the pun) a pretty cool one as well, with a villain that actually feels dangerous, aided by the splashes of horror imagery and creature design. However, as with every entry in this franchise with the possible exception of the original, the movie as a whole feels very disposable. The hit of nostalgia from the returning cast outstays its welcome, with a bloated cast making it hard to truly connect to any of the characters outside of Phoebe. The visual effects are surprisingly weak in places too, and despite the promising premise there are way too many plot points that just end up feeling underdeveloped and unresolved by time the credits roll. The smattering of innuendos and suggestive humour also feels completely out of place, as the rest of the film fits squarely into the 'family friendly' bracket. La vuelta de los Cazafantasmas ha sido muy muy flojita, de esas que ves con el piloto automático puesto. Si la anterior usaba muy bien la vuelta de los queridos personajes, con el toque justo de nostalgia, esta lo desaprovecha todo. Encima el protagonismo cae en la adolescente odiosa del grupo (ninguna culpa a la pobre Mckenna Grace, ella lo hace genial) y es difícil ponerse de su lado 😆 Si que tiene algunos (pocos) chistes graciosos, la vuelta de Moquete y los marshmallows psicópatas que son lo mejor. Pero la historia te deja helado (lo han puesto a huevo, no me jodais 🤣) y se hace pesada, con tantísimo chiste insulso cada dos por tres y efectos especiales aburridos. Sumémosle un malo final desubicado, que más parece jefe final de un Souls que de una peli de los Cazafantasmas, además con CGI del montón. Lo de que puedas vencerlo en 5 min. con latón y una cerilla es nivel McGyver... En fin, muy decepcionante. ¿Puedo decir ya que la de las Cazafantasmas me pareció mucho más divertida? 😬

Patos es una película animada de comedia y aventura del 2023. Una familia de patos abandona la tranquilidad de su estanque de Nueva Inglaterra para visitar Jamaica. Sin embargo, la aventura da un giro inesperado cuando se pierden en la ciudad de Nueva York. Indudablemente es una película muy carismática y sencilla, que es el plan perfecto para ver en familia y que te asegura pasar un rato más que agradable viéndola. Y es que pese a tener algunos momentos muy similares a otras películas de su estilo, si no le pides mucho y meramente te entregas a lo que la película te ofreces la pasas super bien, pues esta diseñada para eso, para entretener. Tiene buenos momentos de comedia, los personajes son interesantes y carismáticos, en lo personal quede enamorada del personaje de Gwen, y pues es una cinta que busca rescatar la unión familiar y el trabajo en equipo. 🎥 Cinema 👻 #Ghostbusters ❄️ #ApocalipseDeGelo O filme continua a história do longa anterior, mostrando agora aquela família morando na sede dos Caça Fantasmas e atuando com os novos protetores da cidade de Nova York. Por outro lado, nos deparamos com a prefeitura não vendo com bons olhos os estragos feitos por eles na cidade, após cada caçada de criaturas de outra dimensão, proibindo então a atividade do grupo. E agora?! Pra quem ligar quando um monstro gigante, recém libertado de uma antiguidade, começa a congelar tudo na cidade?! Se o filme anterior trazia uma nova história, tendo como plano de fundo a nostalgia lá dos anos 80, esse novo agora tenta meio que reproduzir a dinâmica de um dos filmes originais, já que tudo é muito parecido com os clássicos, e inserindo algumas novidades como atualização da trama (foi a sensação que me passou ao assistir). Já a narrativa, achei um pouco corrida e ao chegar no embate final, tudo acontece de uma forma que se resolve muito rapidamente e com pressa. Acredito que tinham em mente que os personagens já foram estabelecidos no filme anterior e que os veteranos já são bem conhecidos do público, e "tocaram o barco" pra frente sem muitos rodeios. Os novos personagens funcionam muito bem e teriam um grande potencial de já tocarem o filme sem o apoio do elenco dos filmes originais, que por sua vez, aparecem aqui de uma forma meio perdida e só para dar um suporte em determinados momentos... sem muita função. Por mais que eu tenha curtido assistir, ter embarcado na história, gostado dos personagens e do visual do vilão (mesmo ele sendo raso), queria ter assistido algo totalmente novo e com uma história mais incrível, tentando se desgrudar do passado também.
