Actor Highlight Day ❤️ - Hacksaw Ridge - I saw this a few years ago and really enjoyed the film and Andrew's performance it. The fact that it was based off of a true story was mindblowing!. He played Desmond Doss, a man in the army but who refuses to fire a gun, so he becomes a medic who goes on to pull off a miraculous accomplishment. He was honestly so good in this film, it showed the different forms of strength that there are, as he wasn't physically imposing, but mentally he was unbreakable, never compromising his convictions and it makes you respect the character so much because of that ability to stand up for what they believe in. He gave such an emotional and heartfelt performance that i was stunned he never won awards for it!. - Tick Tick Boom - This was a recent watch for me and i absolutely loved it. Which is rare too because i usually avoid musicals, but i loved every moment and song of this one. Andrew played Jonathan Larson in basically a biographical performance. As he transformed his look and mannerisms to match Jonathan's which were spectacularly done. It was another one where i was blown away by his performance, the sheer scope of it, there is moments you are mad at him, feel for him, to hoping for him. I thought he really nailed the role and showed the unique personality and kind of person artists have to be to succeed. That relentless dedication. But too, there were massively emotional moments in the film, one where he performs in the rain after finding out devestating news about a friend in particular really got to me. - The Amazing Spider-Man - I really enjoyed Andrew's portrayal of Peter Parker aka Spiderman. I think its something he brings to each role he does, he just has this genuineness about him and natural charm where you can't not like him. It was also too one of the darker Spiderman stories especially given what happened to MJ. He got to show that incredible emotional side he has to his acting and that ability to portray just a broken man, that gets audiences really emotional. He is truly a brilliant actor and one that never fails to deliver brilliant performances!.

#범죄도시4 “폴리스...다크..아미...” . [영화 정보] 범조도시4, 2024 IMDb: 7.0/10 yuntomato: 6.0/10 쿠키 영상: X 보러 가기: 영화관 같이 보면 좋은 영화:<범죄도시> 시리즈 . 아는 맛을 기대하고 먹었는데 아는 맛이라 안도하면서 아쉬운 이 느낌 . [줄거리] 이번에는 온라인 도박 범죄자를 잡는 마석도 형사 . [좋았던 점] 뭐니 뭐니 해도 장이수입니다. 3편에서 많은 사람들이 초롱이에 웃었지만 그래도 장이수 캐릭터를 많이 그리워했습니다. 그래서 4편에서는 장이수를 부활시켰는데 장이수가 4편의 웃음을 담당하고 캐리 했다 할 정도로 비중이 컸습니다. 이번에 장이수가 경찰 역할하는 콘셉으로 나오면서 그때부터 장이수의 하이퍼캐리가 시작됩니다. 경찰이 된다는 생각에 정의감이 불타는 모습, 필리핀 사람으로 오해받는 등 다양한 장면들이 웃음 포인트였습니다. . 사실 범죄도시에서 나오는 개그가 대부분 비슷합니다. 단어 하나씩 잘못말하는 개그, 마동석의 압도적인 힘으로 하는 개그 등 1~4편까지 비슷하게 진행되면서 약간 예측이 되거나, 크게 재밌지는 않았습니다. 그런 점에서 장이수를 통한 새로운 개그를 시도한 것은 좋았던 거 같습니다. . 액션은 복싱 베이스의 맨몸 액션은 좋았습니다. 마동석 씨가 실제로 복싱을 잘해서 그런지 바디→ 훅으로 이어지는 콤보가 굉장히 많이 나오고 타격감이 좋았습니다. . 아 그래도 수사에 집중해서 하나씩 풀어가고 함정을 설치하는 일련의 과정을 보여주는 건 좋았습니다. 제가 3편에서 마약 유통과정을 수사하는 과정에 힘을 준 게 좋았다고 했는데 이번에는 더 힘을 줘서 시리즈가 다양한 시도를 하고 있는 건 좋았습니다. 유머, 수사, 악당 등 다양한 곳에 힘을 주면서 관객들이 좋아할 만한 것을 찾기 위한 시도로 보입니다. . [아쉬운 점] 나머지는 다 아쉬웠습니다. 스토리, 액션, 캐릭터 등 전반적으로 아쉽더군요. 먼저, 스토리는 마석도 형사가 왜 그렇게까지 ‘조성재'와 ‘조성재 엄마'의 죽음을 분노하는지 모르겠습니다. 모자의 억울한 죽음은 알겠지만 너무 접점이 너무 없는 거 같습니다. 주변을 잘 챙긴다는 느낌을 주려고 고깃집에 가서 회식을 하는 식의 장면을 넣은 거 같은데도 잘 이해가 안 됩니다. 차라리 극악무도한 범죄자를 잡는 거에 더 초점을 맞췄으면 범인을 잡으면서 그들의 억울한 죽음을 위로하는 식이면 더 좋지 않았을까 싶습니다. . 액션... 칼로 싸우고 찌르는데 피 한 방울 안튀고, 칼도 너무 깨끗하게 싸우더군요. 보면서 너무 어색해서 그냥 사람들끼리 칼장난하는건가 생각이 들었습니다. 맨몸 싸움은 오히려 피가 덜 날수도 있고해서 괜찮았는데 칼로 싸우는 장면들은 너무 비현실적이었습니다. 15세를 위한 것이긴 하지만... 좀 잘못된 선택이었던 거 같습니다. 사람들은 생각보다 일반적이지 않은것에서 어색함을 느끼거든요. 아마 액션을 보면서 뭔가 어색함을 느끼셨다면 피 한방울 없는 액션 때문일 수도 있습니다. . 마지막 캐릭터인데 이동휘의 캐릭터 ‘장동철'이 왜 있는지 모르겠습니다. 엄청나게 판을 잘 짜서 두뇌싸움을 하는 것도 아니고, 그렇다고 알고 보니 엄청나게 힘숨찐이라 화려한 액션을 보여주는 것도 아니고... 그렇게까지 비중을 줬어야 했는가? 싶습니다. 차라리 3편의 일본 두목처럼 비중을 낮추고 김무열 배우의 ‘백창기'에 힘을 줬으면 어떨까 싶습니다. . [결론] 아쉬운 영화는 맞습니다. 그러나 안보기엔 그것대로 아쉽습니다. 예상한 대로 흘러가더라도 그런 예상을 충족시켜주기때문에 안보이겐 아쉬운 영화입니다. 그래서 결론은... 크게 기대하지 않고 본다면 충분히 재밌게 볼 수 있는 영화!!라 정리하고 싶습니다.

The equalizer , embodied by the great Denzel Washington once again . We are talking a lot about Denzel here those days ahah and I have way more reviews to make with him so stay tuned if you think he is the goat 😂 McCall has abandoned a mysterious past to make a new life without history. When he meets Teri, a young woman controlled by violent Russian gangsters he must help her. Armed with hidden talents, McCall finds back his fiery desire for justice and revenge against the ones that attack the innocents . If someone has a problem, if the chances accumulate against it, if he has no other appeal, McCall will be there: he is the justiciary. The movie concentrates first on this dual sided character : Mc Call is an honest citizen but also the one protecting innocents . I like those kinds of characters as it gives thickness to the scenario which is progressive and well made. I also like how he is protecting Teri (Chloé Grace Moretz). The light effects and the photography are good. I did not put 5 claps because of a few lengths and because I would have liked the movie to focus a bit more on the thriller side instead of the action one but honestly I was surprised I enjoyed it that much. Love Lies Bleeding Gym manager Lou falls for Jackie, a bodybuilder who is passing through town en route to a competition in Las Vegas. Starring - Kristen Stewart, Katy O'Brian, Jena Malone, Dave Franco, Anna Baryshnikov, Ed Harris. I watched this last night and honestly had been curious about it since it's release, as i like A24's movies and i'd heard good things about this one. Honestly i really enjoyed it. I thought this was probably the most tame, in terms of the usual A24 craziness that goes on in films, though there is a moment near the end that made me go yep this is definitely an A24 movie!. It revolves around Lou (Stewart) and Jackie (O'Brian). Stewart works in the gym and sees Jackie walk in one night and is instantly attracted to her. They soon begin a romance and from there things get insane due to family drama and drug issues. I am a major fan of Drama's, and i liked that about this film, also there was more action elements than i was used to seeing in an A24 movie. But a staple of their movies is always the dramatic side and it's done really well here. I did wish however that they spent a little more time developing the relationship as it felt fast. But the dynamic between Lou and Jackie takes you on a rollercoaster where you don't know what to feel!. I liked storywise too how it showed one event can completely derail your life. As we think we know the story at the beginning but an event occurs and the story is completely shunted onto a different path. But it makes it unpredictable as you genuinely have no idea where it will go from that point!. As always with A24, the cinematography and soundtrack was brilliant. Honestly some of the shots with the accompanying soundtracks were a joy to watch and even as the credits roll you are vibing to the soundtrack!. Standouts - Katy O'Brian in particular blew me away. The way she managed to show vulnerability despite her intimidating build was really impressive. Bottom line, a good drama/thriller that takes you on this journey with these two characters, going places you won't expect. I had fun with it. Well worth the watch!. Watch in Cinema's or Buy/Rent. Film del giorno #306: Under the silver lake (David Robert Mitchell, 2018) Ultima opera di Mitchell (credo), di ispirazione evidentemente Lynchiana, "Under the silver lake" è una pellicola di certo interessante, pur non riuscendo a dosare completamente la voglia di citazionismo, originalità e di sorprendere lo spettatore, finendo jn parte per strafare. Se anche è vero, però, che ci troviamo di fronte ad un'opera sicuramente pretenziosa, dall'altro lato il film di Mitchell è sicuramente affascinante, vivendo di un surrealismo che rimane abbastanza morigerato E soprattutto non prendendosi per nulla sul serio, cosa che a conti fatti lo configura come una commedia grottesca vera e propria, anziché come un dramma investigativo - pur seguendo la trama a conti fatti quegli stilemi. È interessante vedere come un regista giovane, che aveva avuto istantaneo successo tramite un film horror sicuramente fra i più interessanti tra quelli proposti in quegli anni, abbia deciso per certi versi di distruggersi la carriera con un'opera così contorta, che se non osa forse in senso stretto per quanto proposto sullo schermo sicuramente lo fa in senso lato, facendo apparire piuttosto spocchioso il buon Mitchell; tuttavia, in questo film si vede la voglia di raccontare qualcosa, c'è una idea forte e non soltanto la volontà di mostrare il proprio talento, utilizzando come protagonista un attore molto noto e calandolo in un contesto anticommerciale e che sia specchietto di allodole delle sue capacità. Under the silver lake è un film che non credo di avere capito a pieno, ma in cui mi sento di dire che c'è qualcosa da capire, c'è qualcosa oltre l'esercizio di stile, c'è un fascino insindacabile. E se anche è stato un flop devastante che ha annichilito e la carriera di Michell come regista, comunque mi porta a desiderare di vedere qualcosa di più di questo autore che stava nascendo e che si è stroncato da sé. Everything is perfect here from the scenario to the staging to the dialogues .... The subject has been talked about a million times so it will not be remembered for its originality but the way the story goes is great. The way the characters are developed is also a big asset: Denzel Washington is once again a great actor accompanied by A huge Ethan Hawke. Both of them are making an exceptional duo very well balanced all along the movie. We love to hate Alonzo Harris ! Jake Hoyt, a young rookie , naive and idealistic is entering the Los Angeles police in the hope of serving justice. Wanting to be an inspector, he is asking for a training of 24 hours with chief sargeant Alonzo Harris, an anti-drug veteran whose playground is the most difficult district of the city for 12 years... What I like best is the relationship developed between Hoyt and Harris from a real admiration at first to a complete disillusion in the end. Hoyt may be a naive man he is not stupid and realizes directly that something is wrong. I salute his course of action, still the same from beginning to end: he doesn't give it to the temptation of easy money. Harris is complex, I am sure he was good at the beginning and he was progressively corrupted by his thoughts and the environment he is living in through these years. This movie lasts 24 hours: it is strong and the end is powerful. 🎥Reseña de Película 🎥 🚘Thelma y Louise: Un final inesperado (Thelma & Louise, 1991) Dir. Ridley Scott y Guión. Callie Khouri 🎥Thelma y Louise son dos amigas que vienen preparando una escapada de fin de semana hace tiempo, a pesar de los horarios de Louise y el controlador marido de Thelma. Sin embargo, las cosas toman un giro oscuro cuando Thelma sufre un intento de violación y Louise mata a su atacante. A partir de ahí, las cosas van en escalada. 🎥Protagonizada por dos íconos, y musicalizada por el gran Zimmer, la película se volvió un éxito enseguida. La valió a su guionista el Óscar y el Globo de Oro al mejor guión original, y no sin motivos. Ya que abarca muchísimas temáticas que se mantienen relevantes y siguen siendo motivo de debate. Es interesante que, incluso en su estreno, las opiniones se dividieron entre quiénes la consideraron misándrica y quiénes la consideraron misógina. Y creo que lograr posturas tan opuestas, habla de lo atractiva que es la cinta en sí. 🎥Por otro lado, a niveles visuales es increíble. Porque contiene todos los elementos de una "película de viaje", con los paisajes monumentales y la sensación de calor pero también de libertad. Que es un poco en la nota que termina, para mí, la cinta y que me hace llorar siempre. Sinceramente, a niveles generales la considero una buena película feminista y siempre sentí que su mensaje final, aunque triste, es poderoso y de gran capacidad inspiracional dadas las circunstancias. 🎥Por último, fue referenciada en infinidad de ocasiones e inspiró también a muchos otros artistas. Los casos más reconocidos fueron Tori Amos con su canción "Me and a Gun" (que también hablaba de su propia experiencia) y el video de "Telephone" de Lady Gaga y Beyoncé. SCANDALE À PARIS. Même si je n'ai encore vu aucun de ses films, pour moi, le nom de Douglas Sirk se rattache plus au genre mélodramatique. Aussi, j'ai été assez étonnée par le ton si enlevé et un brin cynique de cette œuvre de 1946. Scandale à Paris retrace la vie de Vidocq, célèbre criminel devenu chef de la police. Très vite, on comprend que cette vie étalée devant nos yeux est sans doute très fantasmagorée. Et que ce biopic relève plus de la fantaisie. Une fantaisie drôle et où les bons mots fusent. Une fantaisie qui se rapproche d'un univers à la Guitry. George Sanders se révèle juste parfait dans son rôle de voleur inspirateur d'un Saint Georges au dragon et qui réfléchit à sa réorientation professionnelle. Autour de lui évoluent deux protagonistes enamourées et assez étonnantes, un valet et sa famille, un chef de la police jaloux.. Autant de seconds rôles cocasses qui servent de faire-valoir tant au talent du comédien qu'au sens de la répartie de son personnage. Bref, vous l'aurez compris : un bon long métrage de divertissement qui m'a donné envie de lire les mémoires de Vidocq et de regarder le reste de l'œuvre de Douglas Sirk.

Fallout In a future, post-apocalyptic Los Angeles brought about by nuclear decimation, citizens must live in underground bunkers to protect themselves from radiation, mutants and bandits. Starring - Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, Moises Arias, Walton Goggins, Leslie Uggams, Kyle MacLachan, Annabel O'Hagan. I was aware of this show coming out a couple of weeks ago and it was actually my Dad and Sister who have both played the games who told me to watch it!. So i did and binged it over like 3 days!. Honestly i absolutely loved it. Unusually for me, i have actually not played the games!, so i have no doubt there will be easter eggs and references i've missed than fans will pick up on. But i think that gave me basically an unbiased and basically blind look into it, as i had no idea about any of the lore or characters/factions etc. So i can just judge it as a tv show in itself and i loved every moment of it. Seriously there aren't many shows that i binge, and this one i had to as each episode kept teasing the next and i had to know how this story would end!. The story was one that was really engaging and begins in a way that lulls you into a false sense of security before bringing the insanity down. Then the characters. There was a few and i thought the show did a good job developing them and showing you the morally gray world of Fallout. The Ghoul in particular definitely had the most backstory and is such an interesting character. The world of Fallout felt so real in the show, in the modern day where we have so many post apocalyptic shows, it managed to put its own spin on the world and make it stand out. Standouts - Ella Purnell, Walton Goggins and Aaron Moten. I loved the way each interacted with the other and their characters vastly different personalities in the show. Each of them makes you feel different things!. Bottom line, a fantastic show and that's me saying that with no investment or emotional history of the franchise, so had no expectations on anything going in. But i loved it, i fully encourage you to check it out!. Watch on Prime Video. What did you think of the Show?

Film del giorno #305: Cursed (Sam Ellis, 2021) Ultimamente sembra che io sia abbonato agli horror di bassa lega. Questa pellicola, in teoria su qualcosa di simile a un lupo mannaro (in realtà uno schifo spelacchiato in CGI approssimativa), che si ispira in parte alle storie sulla bestia che terrorizzò una regione della Francia che non so scrivere nel XVIII secolo, è nelle intenzioni un horror in costume, nella pratica una rottura di testicoli. Non che sia un'opera completamente malfatta: ci sono un paio di scene genuinamente valide, come quella dell'autopsia e dello spaventapasseri, ma per il resto il film poggia su una sceneggiatura troppo debole, non costruisce mai la tensione e l'angoscia in maniera efficace, gioca fin da subito le sue carte e fallisce in ogni intento orrorifico, fallendo persino nel mostrare la violenza, ben celata da repentini stacchi nella stragrande maggioranza dei casi. Gli attori sono abbastanza professionali, non fanno gridare allo scandalo, mentre molto meno efficace è il lato tecnico, a partire da una regia che spicca solo nelle sequenze succitate e da una fotografia a dir poco piatta, tutta grigino smorto e nulla più. Risibile l'inizio ed il finale. In definitiva, una pellicola anonima, di lunghezza sproporzionata al proprio contenuto, che fallisce in ogni suo intento - sempre che ne abbia qualcuno. 탁 트인 자연을 배경으로 하지만 그 안은 팬데믹 이후의 폐쇄적 분위기와 아득한 불안으로 가득하다. 영화 속에서 건설 추진 중인 글램핑장이 실은 환경친화적인 형태가 아니듯, 자연은 때론 오해의 대상이 된다. 그것은 균형이 깨지는 순간 발생하는 삶의 폭력성을 무심히 관조하는 배경이자, 인간이 만든 대립항의 가치가 공존하기 불가능한 세계다. 지역 개발을 둘러싼 마을 주민들과 자본을 앞세운 개발 논리의 갈등은 점차 삶의 본질을 해하려 드는 모든 '개입'의 이야기로 폭넓게 나아간다. 중요한 의미를 품고 있긴 하지만 제목 자체가 많은 부분 제약이 되거나, 그 의미를 특정 방식으로 제한한다는 데서 오는 잔여도 있다. 자연은 선하지 않다, 악은 탄생한다. Testimone del nazismo, la ragazza trova conforto nei libri che ruba per imparare a leggere. Di questo film, ho gradito la ricostruzione storica attraverso gli occhi di una bambina e, nonostante la trama non sia originale, arriva dritta al cuore. ❤ Liesel è il personaggio che ho amato di più per la sua intelligenza, il suo coraggio e la sua voglia di cultura. È una bambina che cerca di capire quello che succede intorno a lei e che affronta molti dolori che la porteranno a crescere in fretta. Ho amato il legame forte che instaura col suo nuovo papà, Hans, ed è proprio lui a insegnarle a leggere il primo libro e a scrivere per lei un abbecedario sul muro del seminterrato. In più mi è piaciuta l'amicizia tra lei e Rudi🥺 🎬 Che dire del cast? Non c'è un attore che non mi sia piaciuto, anzi, penso che ognuno sia perfetto nel proprio ruolo. La performance, però, che mi ha più sorpresa e catturata è quella dell'attrice protagonista, ovvero la giovane Sophie Nélisse. 🍿 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐚 𝐝𝐢 𝐮𝐧𝐚 𝐥𝐚𝐝𝐫𝐚 𝐝𝐢 𝐥𝐢𝐛𝐫𝐢 è un film che consiglio a chi ama le pellicole ricche di emozioni. Come ho scritto sopra, il film è tratto dal libro scritto da Markus Zusak e sicuramente, più in là, lo recupererò!
