This is a lemon macaron with blackberry filling and white chocolate detail! The Macaron itself was the best I’ve had in the parks in terms of freshness and not being heavy nor overwhelming to eat. The outer shell was chewy and soft as opposed to others that break and flake off in crunchy bits. You don’t really taste the tartness until you get to the filling. THE FILLING. 😍 Listen. The purple blackberry filling was so good I could have eaten it with a spoon. It was complimented so well with the semi-sweetness of the macaron shell that I never felt it too heavy to not savor and enjoy the whole thing! When you get to the very middle, there is a creamy lemon center. It was a *tad* sour but it didn’t make the experience any less enjoyable. Foodie rating: 9.5/10 ⭐️ for creativity, freshness, flavor pairing, and overall surprise in every bite 💚 OH! Have you ever wondered if Disneyland Macrons are really Gluten Free? The answer can be confusing. Technically Yes, most of Disneyland Macarons (Not to be confused with the Matterhorn Macaroon which is not GF) are naturally Gluten Free based on the Ingredients. However, they are not labeled as gluten free. BUT some of them are stored in shared Display cases like at Jolly Holiday & it isn’t made in a dedicated kitchen which poses a small CC risk. The Alien Macaron is actually stored in a plastic container and NOT in a display case. Many celiacs and those who are very sensitive to gluten have reported no problems with the Macarons. Green Alien Holiday Macaron! I must admit, I’ve become a huge macaron fan. I’ve been loving all of the variations alien macarons and this one was no exception. It was filled with marshmallow cream and chocolate ganache which made it really really good!!! Not too overly sweet, but after I got about 3/4 of the way through it became too much for me. They’re just really big!! I tend to prefer the fruity macarons, but I do still really recommend this one. The size does make them good for sharing. It also had a lot of yummy chocolate pieces on it, the eyes, hat and candy cane. Are you a macaron fan?
