On the night of the full moon mild contractions started. During the day they would seize and then continued again the next night. On Thursday suddenly things intensified at midday. I called Ruwan and my friend. When they arrived their full focus was on filling the bath, which was really quite the mission considering we’re in Peru. I was alone in the downstairs bedroom tuning into each contraction. It was a-m-a-z-i-n-g to feel the pure presence with which I could go into the pain. Not dilute it, not ease it, nor breathe it away. But really dive into it and connect deeply to the place it was coming from. I had prayed to go there. But honestly I wasn’t sure if I had it in me. It was wildly intense, as the force of birth is, but somehow by meeting the pain and the intensity, it became so doable and even enjoyable at moments. I was so lucid; so aware of e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g. I got to experience the gift of being left completely undisturbed, and yet sensing the loving presence nearby of Ruwan and Sam who had absolute trust in me and this birth. When my body told me it was time to push, I got into the water and within 10 minutes he was born. The entire birth was no longer than 2,5 hours 🥹❤️ I’m in awe.. In awe of the entire journey from #consciousconception to #wildpregnancy to this #freebirth. I am changed forever 🥰 ⚡️ ⚡️ ⚡️ “Raiden” is a name from Japanese Mythology referring to God of thunder and lightning: Raijin. Rai: thunder and Den: lightning. “Onyx” is the gem coming from the core of the Earth to balance this strong energy. Raiden Onyx… of course you had to be born on a Thursday; the day of Thunder 😆
