Another stop on our summer 2021 coastal road trip was Pescadero, CA. I love this name. โPescaderoโ is Spanish for โfishmongerโโnot to be confused for โpescador(a)โ, meaning โfishermanโ. While we didnโt stop and explore too much (we did get some FABULOUS pie at PIE RANCH!), thereโs actually quite a bit to do in this little town of 600 people. There are a few state parks and state beaches (lovely for walking, maybe even secluded), and would be greatly enjoyed by hikers and birders. The Pescadero Marsh is a refuge for migratory and native wildlife such as wintering waterfowl, coho salmon, steelhead trout, tidewater goby, and many other fish, amphibians, and reptiles.
