Beaded bracelets with a twist, unlike my elasticated beaded bracelets these are strong hard wearing, clasped bracelets with an upgraded Cornish seaglass charm. Let’s start with the charm, all these pieces of seaglass has been set in to sterling silver and attached with soldered jump rings meaning they are permanently fixed to the bracelets unlike my previous bracelets which have a drilled piece of seaglass. They are all set with a backless bezel allowing the light to pass through. Beads, they are sterling silver beads with semi precious gem stones added to match with the colour of seaglass. The gem stones used are: jasper, mother of pearl, jade, moss agate, Indian agate and turquoise. The bracelets are approximately 7.5” with an additional 1” extension chain, very hard wearing as I’ve used strong nylon coated wire for the beads to be threaded on to. It’s @find.amaker week and today it’s about INSPIRATION. The sea and the coastline provides endless inspiration with its textures and colours. My fused silver (and gold) textures are a great likeness to the textures of the rocks along the north Cornish coast. Some of my favourite colours, blues and greens, are obviously very prevalent in the landscape so coastal coloured gemstones creep in everywhere too! Other pieces are inspired by tactile pebbles or frothy seafoam, with textures replicated onto silver. Again, the coastal colours run through everything. Cornish herringbone hedges (stone walls) have also inspired designs. At the moment I'm working on some new slate motifs etched into silver and hope to have a collection for the upcoming @craftfestival in June. ✨ 🌿 The studio is brimming with foliage from the garden at the moment as I tried to bring the outside (and my inspiration) indoors to the studio at @krowji_ trying to recreate the feel of my old studio and the original home of this little business for an exciting little project with @du_creative_agency. Sean popped over to the studio and did some magic lighting tricks and turned the studio into a warm sunshine filled space and filmed for a new vid showing the behind the scenes and life at SL. It totally pushed me out of my comfort zone. I had a script and felt like I was a news presenter 😝 it was super fun, and I can’t wait to see the results! Thank you @du_creative_agency 🌿✨ In other news, the stock take is done, accounts are up to date, getting lots of lovely wedding accessories orders (thank you!) and some new exciting stockists (also thank you!).
