Continuing my series on height restrictions within the parks, and today it’s #disneyshollywoodstudios! As always we see the more intense rides in the park having the higher restrictions, and with Rockin Roller Coaster, mainly as it’s a high intense rollercoaster, that does turn you upside down! Tower of Terror is a free fall ride, with only a belt across your lap, so some find it a bit unnerving!! Rise of the Resistance is based on trackless technology and as I always point out, the best ride in any theme park! It’s a little intense, perhaps for those littler ones, but my young children love it!! Star Tours is a simulator, which I know a lot of people do struggle with! This is quite intense and has a lot of jerks and sudden movements!! Slinky Dog with its lower restriction is a GREAT first rollercoaster for those little ones!! Such a fun ride! So they have finally arrived! #stitchattackssnacks for the month of April, or 4 of 12 and this time it’s the classic Lollipop! This month was also particularly sweet as Angel has joined Stitch!! So here’s a rundown of the height requirements for a day in #magickingdom! With this being the icon, the centre piece and the park for all to enjoy, Magic Kingdom has the most rides with no height requirement! And even at that the “more extreme” rides have a lower height requirement and again this is to do with the ride vehicles, with rides like 7 Dwarfs Mine train having a fully enclosed seat so those “littler” ones can enjoy the ride, Again we see Tron, Lightcycle Run, having the highest requirement, but again this is partly due to the extremely unique ride vehicle! Tron also happens to be my joint favourite ride in the entirety of @waltdisneyworld! So here is a quick one for your planning of a trip to #disneysanimalkingdom! Here is a little run down of the height requirements for those rides!! In general the higher you have to be the more intense the ride is, as we see here with Expedition Everest!! Flight of Passage is an intense ride but in a completely different way, and is an example of how a ride vehicle can affect a height requirement, for those that know the ride vehicle of Flight of Passage know it’s a unique type pf vehicle! Sorry that I couldn’t post much yesterday but there was no wifi on the plane which was a real shame but on well it allowed me to get some sleep but I kept opening Facebook and Insta before remembering that I couldn’t use them 😂🤦🏼♀️ After being delayed leaving Gatwick I finally made it to the resort and to my surprise I didn’t have long to wait for the Mears Connect bus and I was the first resort stop on that bus 🙌 Made my first visit to Blaze Pizza for food and the pizza with two drinks came to just under $20 which I thought was reasonable and to top it off it was delicious 😋 Today I’m going home as I’ve got a Magic Kingdom day 🏰 i’ll post on stories throughout the day and I plan on making a reel of each day but we’ll see if I have the energy/brain power to do that 😂 #disney #disneytrip #disneytravelday #disneyspopcenturyresort #disneyvalueresort #disneysprings #blazepizza #disneyig #disneygram #disneyinsta #disneyinstagram
We were lucky enough to have snagged a free Stroller Rental from @strollalongrentals for our up and coming trip in October. The booking process was so straightforward even from the UK! A small refundable deposit of $1 was paid to reserve the dates we require and will be returned when the stroller is collected. I look forward to keeping you updated on the delivery process and our thoughts on the Stroller/rain cover and parent console we have ordered to help our vacation run smoothy. So major changes coming for DAS pass at @waltdisneyworld coming in effect from 20th May 2024, The DAS pass is available as it stands to guests with a whole range of mobility, sensory, cognitive and more health issues, but it seems that due to the pass, possibly been misused in the last few years that Disney have decided to be a lot more strict with the availability of the pass, First major change is that registering is no longer going to be available in at Guest services in each of the 4 main parks, Guests wishing to apply for the DAS pass now must exclusively do so over a video call either prior to the trip, or the same video call on the day of arrival, Guests obtaining a DAS pass may now only register three persons on the pass, used to be up to five. This is a change that has been talked about in recent months, again solely due to the misuse and applications of the DAS pass, so I’m not surprised to see this, I have contacted Disney for some more info but it think for the cast members in the Help team this is taking difficult for them to get to grips with also, so I’m not expecting any clarity just yet, I am travelling in October 24 with my family and Brother in Law, who has Downs Syndrome, and poor mobility due to multiple stokes, so I’m sure he will still be considered for it, I did try and set up a video call in relation to a previous trip for setting up a DAS pass but guests from the UK are not eligible for the video call and could only set up at guest relations so it will be interesting to see how this is accommodated for, I really don’t want to spend my first hours on vacation having to figure out a video call upon arrival, I will update when I can @disney @disneyuk @disneyparks @disneyparksuk @disneycruiseline @disneylandparis #wdw #waltdisneyworld #disneyworld #disneyvacation #disneyvlog #disneyparks #floridathemepark #themeparks #magickingdom #epcot #animalkingdom #epcot #disneyresort #disneyhotel #disneysprings #disneyvacationclub #disneydad #disneysnacks #disneymom #disneyvalueresort #disneytransportation #disneymonorail #disneyblog #disneylife

So the @wdw_with_me family are now 6 months to our next visit to @waltdisneyworld in October of this year! I really cannot wait to share this trip with you all! And the planning wheels and cogs are already spinning in my head regarding everything we want to do and try to see, It’s a slightly different trip from our last visit as my brother in law will be with us, and living with Downs Syndrome and a multitude of health issues, every part of that has to be incorporated into my plans and thoughts! He never gives in or lets things stand in his way!! We will have the quick service dining plan, visiting Food and Wine Festival (my favourite…but shhuuusss don’t tell the other festivals that) We have ideas of character dining we are planning on doing also, And of course a visit to WDW in October would not be complete without a night (or two) at #mickeysnotsoscaryhalloweenparty!! I’m guessing tickets for this years party will go on sale, mid June at the earliest! Happy Easter from all of us at @wdw_with_me! We are currently away for the weekend in a wee wooden lodge, and thankfully the Easter Bunny remembered that we were! My girls were delighted with their @disneystoreuk plush of Stitch and Angel! All dressed up and ready for Easter!! Today is #nationaldownsyndromeday here in the UK, This is me with my brother in law, Ross! One of the most amazingly strong people I know! Apart from being born with Downs Syndrome, Ross has fought some of the most severe medical conditions that life could throw at him,or indeed anyone! So Typhoon Lagoon re opens today at @waltdisneyworld This is my favourite water park and so glad to see it open again!! So much to do in this park! But the wave pool is my favourite by far!! So here we have another question that is asked often, are the after hours party worth it? The @wdw_woth_me family think they are! But can be expensive!! We done the Hollywood Studios one, and it was at that time in March 2023 $146 an adult, and $110 a child! The benefits to this is the park is at such a low capacity! And most rides can be walk on, but please remember if you enter a queue minutes before park close in a Disney Park you are entitled to ride that ride! So for our night Slinky remained at about 40 minutes the entire time, and most of this was due to day guest still being in line! We walked onto everything else basically, Rise of the Resistance was about an half hour wait, but for that ride that is incredible! At selected areas on these night you can grab juices and snacks all night, we actually came back tot eh hotel with multiple bottles of juice!! And as I always say, in my opinion the parks are just as beautiful at night as they are during the day!! So when my wife said that we were going to @disneylandparis for my 40th, Pyms Kitchen was top of my list, This is based on the Marvel Ant man movies, with Pym Tech being used to serve up some twist on food you wouldn’t expect! From the photos you can see the food options, the highlights were the “Giant” croutons for your Caesar Salad!! The mini burgers, the giant pretzels served one per table, the giant Pretzel Sandwich was a treat also, Overall the savoury food options were outstanding! Deserts stole the show though!! The blue custard was incredible, along side the swirl sponge cake, the Oreo slice was a slice of a single “giant” orea cookie! The dark chocolate mousse was outstanding!! There are a couple of other cool things, each seat has a colouring mat with games on it also for those kids!! The wine I ordered was sent in a test tube and served in a beaker flask to drink! Great touches along the science theme!! So I’ve had the pleasure today of helping a family, planning their first visit to @waltdisneyworld, the picture shows the rough plans I’ve put together day to day, once we narrow it down i will fill with more detail! I’ve been in contact with the family all day and through my questions and essentials that the family have i have came up with a suggested plan for the days they plan to spend to in @disney, This is my absolute favourite part of a Disney holiday, I plan and makes all reservations on the trips my family and i take, with my biggest challenge of 7 people coming up in my October visit, I really do love helping out anyone and everyone! It’s a pleasure, especially for a first visit! I’m so excited for the family to visiting!! @disneylandparis reviews continue, and this is the GREATEST CHARACTER meet I have ever experienced!! At the Hero Training Center in Walt Disney Studios Park you can pick to meet the one, the only, that neighbourhood friendly guy….SPIDERMAN! Or you can choose from an original Avenger, I had to narrow it down to my man! This is a virtual queue meet and greet, with being in the park at 9am you can register for the meet at that point! And is done through the app! Now I was right on at 9am and on, a particularly busy morning and I got a 0922 meet, yes it’s that specific!! Now also please note they will not let you into the training Center a SECOND, not a SECOND before your time!! But here’s the only down side, I entered at 0922 and you are held in room alongside everyone else already there and coming in, I didn’t get to go from that room until 0953, so 31 minutes later, I didn’t meet Spidey until 1012, so please don’t expect to be straight in! But enough of that, the meet was incredible, the cast member, prior to meeting Spidey, asked if I spoke French or English and the meet was done in my language of choice, Spidey was incredible! Absolutely incredible! Please note also, you can only do one of the meets PER DAY, you cannot do the Avenger meet on the same day or vice versa, so note that! So the second instalment of #stitchattackssnacks from @shopdisneyuk or the Disney Store as it is now, has been released! This is a beauty!! In the @wdw_with_me household Stitch truly is the favourite of all characters!! For those who may not know about this @disney are releasing a park snack version of Stitch “attacking them” or as I like to think enjoying them as much as you would!! A collection of 12 plush (and pin sets) with one released each month, Januarys was the classic @disneyparks Pretzel, and February being the ever great Disney Popcorn!! March is the macaroon! A great collection if like me and you have two Stitch crazed daughters!! So @lego have absolutely nailed this one!! This is Lego set 43222, 4837 pieces in total, 25 numbered bags, which equates to actually 39 individual bags!! 3 instruction manuals, 1018 individual build steps, and a whole lot of hours, me and my 6 year old have spent hours on this! And I need to give my daughter most of the credit she done amazing!! As a @lego adult,I have been building sets all my life, and to get to do this with her is all the better!! To anyone who has the castle previously released 71040 set, and thinks this is too similar or no point owning two, please do not miss out on this!! It is superb and different in so many ways!! For anyone like myself who has been fortunate enough to see the castle in @magickingdom and its “facelift” for the 50th Celebrations, this is as spot on a Lego set I have seen! The colours of blue and pink are the perfect shade, the bright blue spires add to the perfect overall look This is one of the best Lego sets I have had the pleasure of building, and Ib my forty years on this planet I have built a lot!! Really really nice job @lego!! Stunning!! And thank you for the hours of fun I got to spend with my daughter!! There are some Easter eggs to this set, covers so many movies and characters we all love, but one of my favourites is the reference Pocahontas and “colours of the wind” with the leaves rustling in the wind at the side of the castle! The sword in the stone is there! Maui has his own painting! The Magic Rug and Genies lamp casually in Rapunzels tower room, Lumiere has the table set for you to be his guest! Honestly I could go on! What’s your favorite Family Suites section at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort?
One of the questions I see all the time - is staying on Disney Property worth the “extra” cost? It depends on the type of holiday you are planning for your and your family! Do you want to stay in the Disney Bubble? Nicely themed pools and buildings? Convienient transport from hotels to parks, with the option of early entry? Added perks above above that? Then yes a Disney resort is worth the “extra” cost Are you travelling with a large party that a villa would suit more? Do some of your group want the private pool option that a villa offers? Do you want to visit the Universal Parks more than just the once in the stay? Then possibly an off site stay may be better! There are lots of things to take into account! Me and my family (as it stands) always want a Disney Hotel, my kids are not interested in the thrill rides at universal (yet) they will get there though! They love the Disney bubble, the ease of heading back to the resort midday for a dip in the pool in the height of summer, the Dining plan (for me) is a massive plus and only available to resort guests, It really does depend on you and your travelling party! When they say All Star Movies has larger than life theming.. they aren’t just saying that!🤣💜💚✨ This resort is full of fun themes and tons of Disney nostalgia which I think is my favorite part!
