The Maple Hazelnut Hot Buttered Rum from Merry Mashups for the Festival of the Holidays is delightful upon sipping but awful to swallow as the flavor goes from delicious hot buttered hazelnut to straight hot rum so quickly. The Rum Blossom was so refreshing even on the hottest of Animal Kingdom days. Give it a solid stir though since the rum is poured on top of the slushy before serving. Not typically a fan of boba but these had a good green apple flavor! The lumpia came out piping hot, not always an ideal choice on a scorching day, but I still enjoyed this. A really nice thinner sweetened cream cheese consistency with hints of pineapple which was not overpowering. This was perfectly deep fried and had some crystallized sugar on it which definitely elevated the taste. This is the Open Ocean with a Splash made with Bacardi Raspberry Rum, Bols Blue Curaçao, Liquid Alchemist Orgeat (Almond), Agave Nectar and fresh Lime Juice. This makes the perfect lounge to get away from the parks, the heat, the crowds and also makes a great place to start your #monorailbarcrawl They serve breakfast which is delicious, lunch and dinner at the main restaurant but we enjoy the lounge because no reservation required, drinks are great, great atmosphere and awesome food options. They open at noon everyday. Pro Tip- If the parks are not busy or it’s not a holiday week you might be able to park at the resort. Ask security and tell them you are going to the lounge.
