Okay, let's get into it: SHIKI-SAI! 🌸⛩️🎌 This is, by far, the best overall dining experience I've had on Disney property. It has it all: excellent food, impeccable service, beautiful ambiance. We ordered the Chicken Karage appetizer ($12) based on our server recommendation - she was right! This was SO moist, with great flavor. Definitely utilize the lemon on the side. For our "main course," we ordered the $100 Hashi Bridge. Yes, it's pricey, but we had planned for this! Y'all, the freshest sushi. My 8 year old picky eater ate eel AND LIKED IT! 😮 My oldest loved trying octopus for the first time. My favorite was the scallops. Not a hint of that "fishiness" you can get with lower quality sushi...so light and fresh and tender. During the meal, your server will bring you paper flowers on which you write down a wish. At the end of your meal, you place them under the cherry blossom tree as you leave. I did get the impression that this changes depending on the season, so I'll have to go back! My favorite memory from Shiki Sai? My son had purchased a fan elsewhere in the pavilion, on which a CM wrote his name in Japanese. He copied this onto his wish...and every single server who walked by stopped to comment on what a great job he did. He was SOOOO proud. Let’s talk Garden Grill! 🪴 This is a character dining experience and the whole restaurant actually rotates (slowly). You get views of living with the land ride and the pavilion. The breakfast food is ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS with monkey bread, watermelon, Mickey waffles, cheesy hashbrowns, bacon & POG juice mimosas! You get to meet Mickey, Pluto and Chip & Dale. The character interactions did not disappoint and we even saw the characters twice during our meal. The restaurant is often also eligible for some entertainment packages like “eat to the beat” where we got to sit in a reserved section for a concert at Epcot. Festival of the Arts- souvenir edition 🎨 🇯🇵 The wooden sake cup is my favorite sneaky souvenir at the festival. They will write your name in Japanese and it’s so cute! Last year the sake was served inside and this year they give it in a cup on the side. 🎨 Pro tip: if you don’t drink sake or want one for the kids, you can pay about $7 for a cup with no sake. 🎨 Pro tip #2- use the cup as a cute planter when you get home. We were able to snag a reservation at the highly sought-after Epcot Space 220, which is known to be quite challenging. Jamie was the one who secured the reservation for our party of two kids and three adults. We opted for the price-fixed menu, which included a three-course meal for adults while our kids had their respective kid's meals. The meal was off to a great start with the appetizers, and I must say that the deep-fried Buffalo Cauliflower recommended by our waiter was simply amazing. Brett had the shuffle, and we were all pleased with our choices. For the main course, I had the Caesar salad, which was also recommended by our waiter. The Pad Thai with shrimp, pork chop, and roasted chicken were equally delightful. Our dinner was complete with three delectable desserts, and I highly recommend the Truffle Raspberry cake and the carrot cake, which was handpicked by Caesar. While it may not be the best option for kids due to the long wait, you can always grab a seat at the bar if you don't have a reservation. Do you like a good British Pub? We had dinner at EPCOT's Rose & Crown located in the United Kingdom Pavilion in the World Showcase. I tried the vegetarian version of their Shepherd's Pie. I liked it although I would guess that the meat version would have been better. We also ordered the Fish & Chips and the Sticky Toffee Pudding. It was all good but nothing I'll crave and have to have again. How about you? Do you love the Rose & Crown? Next time I think I'll just stop in for a beer. San Angel Inn Restaurante - Epcot 🇲🇽 Pavilion What a charming restaurant this is! Settled inside the pavilion with dark lighting and close knit tables that ambiance was very unique. If you’re like us, every time we were on the boat ride here we would say “one day we’re going to eat here” and this was our day! 🇲🇽 As this is a third party owned restaurant, the allergy menu is not listed on line. Scroll forward and you’ll see it! 🇲🇽 We found them incredibly accommodating and even though we had some special requests (see: my daughter is quite the picky eater) the server was wonderful and happy to discuss any of our requests with the chef. We felt comfortable. 🇲🇽 is it just me, or do you also get really pumped with the person serving your food uses terms like “celiacs?”! 🇲🇽 items not labeled GF can be modified (most). For instance, the enchiladas are GF when you omit the fried onions on top. 🇲🇽 GF/DF is possible as most items can be GF if you remove the cheese. GF/Vegan would be difficult though not impossible. Some friends of ours @princess_and_the_bear recently dined here and had a vegan dish made that could also be GF so it IS possible. Is this on your list of places to try? Garden Grill is one of my favorite character meal options! With the return of the dining plan it’s a great value for a table service credit at $62 per adult and $40 per child for dinner. A great family style meal, all you care to enjoy of some great comfort food some of which was grown right inside Living with the Land! New Year Changes. . Honestly, I am so ready to swap out the holiday diet!! The holidays were non stop. Thank you Canada for the amazingness that is poutine! 🇨🇦 We got the off menu gluten free, dairy free & vegan version of poutine at Le Cellier at the Canada pavilion and it never disappoints. ✅ Because Brandon can't have chicken, he isn't able to have the regular gluten free poutine (which includes a red wine sauce). This version was served with a house-made gravy and included VioLife non-dairy cheese. They also use Miyoko's non-dairy cheese too, but because it is nut based (and Brandon has nut allergies), they omitted it from our version. A favorite table service restaurant of ours in Epcot is Spice Road Table. It offers a Candlelight Processional dining package, and it’s such a great value at $55. That includes a tajine appetizer for the table, two small plates per person, a non-alcoholic drink, and a dessert platter. We had the hummus fries with a citrus chipotle sauce, the bean with spreads, spiced chicken and dolmas (stuffed grape leaves). If you enjoy Moroccan flavors don’t overlook this option.

It serves us well in several ways. 🦋It’s near the park entrance so it’s an easy stop on our way in or out. 🦋There are options here everyone loves! The French Bistro burger is so very good! I usually order the kids chicken with coleslaw and ask for a GF bun. I did character dining this morning at Akershus in the Norway Pavilion 🇳🇴 at Epcot. This is an all-you-care-to-enjoy family style meal where the food (and princesses) come right to your table! You're given a variety of breakfast pastries along with meats and cheeses, a smoked salmon cream cheese, and lingonberry jam. (By the way the "brown cheese" was killer). You allso receive fresh fruit, and a platter of eggs, sausage, bacon, cheesy potato casserole, and Norwegian waffles. While you eat, five princesses (one being Belle, because shes the hostess) come visit you at your table and you receive a picture of all the signatures from the princesses that appear there.
