And they’re delish. 🤤 Even if you’re not eating at a table service restaurant and speaking to a chef about your dietary needs (Disney is incredibly accommodating), you can find amazing allergy-friendly menu items at quick service restaurants. Here are a few of my gluten-free favorites: ✨ My must-have. The wood-grilled chicken or chimichurri-braised beef bowl found at Satu’li Canteen, in Animal Kingdom. Please, with all my heart, I ask you to order the charred green onion vinaigrette with this. It’s magical. ✨ The Texas Beef Brisket Sandwich with garlic toast found at Regal Eagle Smokehouse, in the America Pavilion in Epcot. YUM. Like, the decadent and indulgent kind of yum. ✨ The All-Meat Pizza found at Pinocchio Village Haus, in Magic Kingdom. I was surprised at how great this is! Sometimes gluten-free pizza can be unsatisfying, but this one is a lovely option. 🔥TIP: I recommend using Mobile Order on the app to save time waiting in line for your food!

Chef Mickey's was perfect for brunch! We all loved the buffet menu and they even brought out gluten free plates for my youngest and I so we could enjoy the waffles too! The character meet and greets were just the best ❤️. We sat at a table off in the corner by ourselves somehow, away from crowded areas. The smoked salmon and tomato salad were my favorite along with the GF waffles. Mom loved the scrambled eggs and went on about them the rest of the day! My kids loved the unlimited POG juice that they serve and my oldest raved about the danish selection 😄 I would certainly recommend this for a visit if you've never done it before. It's inside the Contemporary Resort next door to Magic Kingdom which is a really cool hotel just to walk around and visit. Day #2 at @waltdisneyworld was spent at Magic Kingdom and our resort hotel- The Polynesian! I always start with the dessert first because you only live once! 🤷🏻♀️ The best thing about The Polynesian is they have a dole whip stand in the hotel! And that is my favorite thing ever! If you swipe ➡️ I attached an ingredients list so you can see the lime and pineapple twist flavors are #top8free And a little adult tip, if you are feeling adventurous, you can make it boozy with rum! Keep swiping because we also spent the day at Magic Kingdom! We ate at cosmic rays Starlight quick service cafe. My husband and I aren’t big eaters so we shared the footlong hot dog and it was absolutely delicious!!! I don’t remember the last time I have had a hot dog! Omgoodness 🙃 the staff was amazing here too because they came out and guided me through the ordering process! Literally the kindest people ever! 🥰 I also snacked on some popcorn at the park too! 🍿 For dinner we just grabbed some quick appetizers, before heading back to the park from our club level at the Polynesian! Surprisingly they had two AMAZING dishes that were #glutenfree and #dairyfree They were the impossible meatball and short rib dish! The meat was so tender and flavorful! Day #1 at @waltdisneyworld was a dream! But I knew it would be at Disney’s Beaches and Cream at the Boardwalk! Eating #glutendairyfree along with a #shellfishallergy has been a breeze! The accommodations are something I have never seen or tasted! What I ordered: - my husband and I shared the gluten and dairy free hamburger - a side of tater tots with dairy free cheese and bacon - one side of dairy free ice cream with Hershey’s chocolate/peanut butter sauce, almonds and a cherry! I cannot explain to you how exciting it was to eat an entire meal with my family that I knew was safe and not “just a salad!” And the cherry on top was that it was delicious! I’m so ashamed about this post. How had I not known earlier about the yummy food that is served at Liberty Tree Tavern? Please forgive me for only now making it there. This meal was super good. Heavy, but very good. First came the salad and warm rolls. Honestly I could have eaten just the salad and rolls and been totally content. I have no idea what dressing they used on this salad (if anyone knows please share!) but it was heavenly! So light and flavorful. Main meal came and this was just MY plate. I didn’t have to share with anyone else in my family. The gluten eaters got their own big ole platters of food to share. My plate came with Turkey (very good), pork(I don’t eat pork but my husband said it was good), pot roast (this was AMAZING like melt in your mouth amazing), mashed potatoes (very good) and dressing which I’m pretty sure they made from the GF rolls that was very good, and finally green beans that were cooked perfectly. Dessert was a warm GF chocolate brownie with ice cream on top that was also incredible. Overall this very heavy meal was super delicious and I’m kicking myself for passing it over on previous trips. I don’t think I would visit Liberty Tree Tavern in the warmer months, just too much food, but in the few colder months this is a perfect meal to warm you up. Just be sure not to schedule Big Thunder or Space Mountain right after eating. Try a nice tame ride like Pirates or Jungle Cruise 😉 Enjoy!! #libertytreetavern #glutenfreeatdisney
Clean your plate! 🍽 Have you eaten at 50's Prime Time Café hosted by @cocacola inside Disney’s Hollywood Studios? We recently ate there for the birthday of our oldest and I learned something new for those of us with a #glutenallergy ! THEY CAN MAKE THE FRIED CHICKEN GLUTEN FREE!! 😋 There is a catch though. You either have to call beforehand to let them know or as soon as you get into the Park, head straight to Prime Time and let them know you want to order the gluten free fried chicken. They need to know at least two hours before your reservation so they can accommodate the gluten free fried chicken. But let me tell you, it’s totally worth it!! Now if they would only make gluten free onion rings too! Animal Kingdom gets slighted way too often. I really do love this park but I tend to skip it when we are on short trips. After this most recent trip I wish we had a full day in Animal Kingdom but alas it was a travel day park for us. Even with a short amount of time I still got some good eats. First up CHURROS!! Oh my gosh SO good! At the time Nomad Lounge was offering a special fried bread, similar to a beignet, so we tried an order of those as well. Not as good as the ones at Port Orleans French Quarter but the sauce that came with them was out of this world! So yummy!!! Second up that day was a Night Blossom with rum 🍹. So yummy but be aware, don’t chug this down. Drink it slow! It’s hard to do since it’s so yummy but savor it. Learn from my mistake lol. Last up is Kevin. Not a food but one of my most favorite “side kicks” from any movie so I just had to share that he’s back out in the park and looking amazing as always. @disneysanimalkingdom #glutenfreeatdisney
Went to Disneyland this past weekend to celebrate my birthday!! One thing that I love about Disneyland is their availability of gluten free options, and the measures they take to avoid cross contamination when you let them know you have a gluten allergy. They don’t make you feel like a burden, quite the opposite, they’re happy to accommodate. Which makes enjoying the park so much better, because you don’t have to worry and stress about what you’re going to eat, or if you’re going to get sick. It’s all about the little things when you’re diagnosed with a disease that so few people/places understand. So to be acknowledged and accepted and to have a space made for me and to make me feel welcome, is extremely heartwarming and appreciative. Disney just knocks it out of the park on all things accommodating people with all kinds of disabilities. On the airplane over we flew Alaska airlines, and I had a sparkling wine and some Peatos, which were quite tasty. I had delicious dole whip, ate a turkey leg like a caveman, had other foods not pictured, and we finished the night at Blue Bayou restaurant, where I ordered the jambalaya. It was sooooooooo delicious!!! And flavorful!!! 😍 I got the bubbly drink from lamplight lounge. And for the dinner at Blue Bayou my partner and I ordered mint julep and Louisiana lemonade. We topped off my birthday with a delicious cute little gluten free sundae with a candle! Yet another amazing trip for the books! Had a magical 4 days in Disney! ✨I’ve been blown away by how accommodating they are for Celiac / allergies!! Every single restaurant has a separate allergen-friendly menu. All of the food was fantastic! Some of my favorites: • gluten free churros (fried in their own fryer!) at Nomad Lounge in Animal Kingdom • GF falafel & butter chicken at Tiffin’s at Animal Kingdom. Amazing! • Whispering Canyon Cafe at Wilderness Lodge - all you can eat breakfast skillet including GF Mickey waffles! • Via Napoli I’m Italy at Epcot - had GF Alfredo! • Gluten free tapioca rolls & butter served at various places - best GF bread I’ve tried! • Be Our Guest Restaurant at Belle’s Castle - a little pricey but the French onion soup was to die for. • Dole Whip - pineapple & raspberry are gluten free / dairy free! • Hollywood Brown Derby at Hollywood Studios - so many yummy options. Had the Cobb salad! • 50’s Prime Time Cafe - had mama’s meatloaf and it was 💯 . Heading to Universal Studios for the rest of the week so I’ll be sure to share my GF finds there, too! So lately Erin McKennas Bakery in Disney Springs has gotten some bad reviews on some gluten free pages that I’m on. I visit this shop almost every trip and usually enjoy each thing I have. This trip, I loved what I got. Only two items since it was very late in the evening when I got there, but both were great. Bonus, I didn’t eat them until a day (or two) later. First up was the blueberry vanilla donut. This donut was awesome! Fresh blueberries and loads of flavor. The second item was the cookie lovers cupcake. I didn’t eat this until a day after I got home and it was still great. I was just bummed they were all out of kitchen sinks, I can eat off those for days! So yes, I’ll be back and I’m really hoping to score another one of these amazing donuts when I get there next. #glutenfreeatdisney #erinmckennasbakery
I’ve been going to Epcot for almost 40 years. I can’t even count the number of visits I’ve had. Yet somehow I had never eaten dinner in the Mexican pavilion. On our last night of our trip, we grabbed a last minute dinner reservation here. It was so good! We had great service. A lovely atmosphere. And the food was amazing. My daughter is gluten free and they said they could make just about anything on the menu gluten free. We each ordered two appetizers to have as our meal - my daughter had the soup and the chicken tostadas. I am keto and had the guacamole and the queso fundido with chiccarones for dipping rather than tortillas. Great experience and am looking forward to a return visit! Took a very special mother and son trip with three other best friends and their sons this past week! This trip was a full year in the making and was so very magical, special and fantastic, despite the logistical challenges posed by omicron. Ok, everyone take a deep breathe - go on, do it! 😂 I know you are all going crazy over the lack of GF options for my favorite - the Festival of the Arts. Relax, there will be other choices than what you see listed. They are still working on the supply chain and will update items as they can. I will be meeting with the chefs to go over everything opening day and will post here and on Facebook. I can already see that some items can be modified, such as the one in the photo below. I highly recommend sticking a slice of GF bread in your bag for this dish. Three awesome chefs to ask for at the festival are Ashley, Donald, and Nathan. They will be happy to help you with other allergies you might have. If anyone will be at the festival Friday, let me know and we can meet up.

I had a client once tell me that saying the word “allergy” at Disney is like saying the word “bomb” at the airport. She has a point. Disney takes allergies very seriously! My daughter has a newly diagnosed gluten allergy and it was wonderful to have a week of trying new things and having no stomach issues! We had our first visit to the Skipper canteen in Magic Kingdom.
