I love meeting characters in their costumes. Disney near the holidays is one of my favorite times of the year. However what you see here is a girl who is smiling because she is thrilled to be at Disney, but not so much after because she isn’t happy with her appearance. Obviously that girl is me, and I can tell you that even after just one week of joining my team and working out and taking control of what I eat, I feel so much better. Is it hard? Yes absolutely. Does my whole body hurt? Yes again. But I show up every day because I want to be proud of the girl in my Disney photos. I want to walk down the aisle in 2022 at my vow renewal at Disney and not be embarrassed of my wedding (take 2) photos. I want to not have to go through diabetes testing again. I want to walk the whole park for hours on end and not want to find a corner and cry because my legs hurt so much. I know I can do this! I want to this. So I’ve decided to dedicate myself to changing my life. I am so sick of being overweight. I am sick of not being able to walk around Disney without my knees hurting... or having to use a wheelchair because I broke my leg and it didn’t heal right because of my weight. I’m sick of having to take multiple breaks and slowing my friends and my husband down. Disney in general is the driving force is my life, and most of the time even at home I try to live my life in a Disney inspired way. I also want to be able to walk into Lululemon and not get made fun of or ignored because of my weight (yes this really happened). I want to be able to shop in a store and not pay more because I am fat. I want to fit in designer clothes like Kate Spade. I want to be able to actually walk in my Louboutin Pumps! If my graduation gets rescheduled I want to walk the stage as a confident woman who is going to be a kick ass federal agent someday! So after going back and fourth and wrestling with how I hate getting “hey girl” messages but at the same time remembering how much success I had in the past with Beachbody, I lost 80lbs in 2014 doing BB. I decided that maybe my resistance was because I was scared, I was vocal about network marketing not being for me. But I am doing this for me, because nothing else has been working. I tried MyFitnessPal, WW, Keto, and I know I need accountability and a real and true lifestyle change. This is for me. So if I can be of any help to you please reach out as I did decide to give coaching another chance (and I thought about it for a really long time). The cast member previews hit me in all of the feels today. While I, myself aren’t ready to return to the parks (not that it matters because I’m in NY) I am just glad that magic is being made for folks again . It gave me a feeling of peace, even if for just a moment. Please if you visit the parks in the next several weeks and months wear your mask, social distance and be kind to cast members, they are just doing their jobs. Let’s get raw and real here for a second. Anxiety sucks! Being “bullied” sucks and it doesn’t help when it comes from people 10 + years younger. I am a Libra (conflict averse, sensitive, always a rule follower) I am highly sensitive and the least assertive person on the planet. I guess you could say I am people pleaser... I hope soon to be a recovering people pleaser. I also take my education seriously. I’m attending classes at two different schools to obtain my bachelors degree, and my science class is already kicking my ass and messing with me hard, so maybe I’m overly sensitive, or maybe I’m just over it. So tonight I was in my CJS class and the professor was having technical difficulties, and admittedly it’s a dry class. So I have a paid Zoom account that I use for work, so I set the class up weekly and turn hosting over to him. Well tonight his computer failed him and the “kids” in the class all were telling me to end the class before he got back and he’d never know it wasn’t a technical problem. I couldn’t do that. It was wrong. So I said no and I admitted the professor back in to the class and like the girls in my class who I thought were my friends started making fun of me and calling me names “teachers pet” etc. I thought this bullshit ended in high school. I was bullied and beat down enough then. I don’t need this and it makes me feel horrible at 34 years old that I let some petty girls get me so upset that I am shaking. It brought back horrible memories. I guess my message is this.... you NEVER know what somebody is going through, you don’t know anybody else’s situation, so kindness and empathy go a long way. I wish more people would think before they speak, stop trying to force people to conform, stop being asshats, and have some compassion for your fellow humans. We all have hearts, we all have feelings and no one is inferior to anyone else. Bullying is never okay. Not as a kid, not as a teen and not as an adult. It’s wrong. Let’s all be a little kinder shall we? Okay end rant.

The sea, it calls me! I love looking out over the riverboat at the Haunted Mansion and the Tangled tower!!!! This area is so relaxing and a great place to hide away from the crowds a little bit. I feel like all I’ve been doing this year is hiding from crowds. I have stayed silent and watched the events of the last week or so unfold around me, mostly because it was hard to process, my anxiety got the nest of me because my husband works for Target and I was scared for him and his store. So it took me a while to formulate my thoughts. The Princess and the Frog is one of my all time favorite Disney stories because Tiana is such a strong and determined young woman, but that she had so many struggles and obstacles to over come. It resonates with me though this week because my heart hurts for the black community. George Floyd, and everyone who came before him, that died at the hands of a white person unnecessarily has been weighing on my mind. I won’t pretend to know your struggles and I acknowledge my privilege based solely on the color of my skin and nothing more. I am not perfect, but I am committed to learning what I can do to support those in the black community and how I can do my part to active end the systematic racism that this country won’t let go of. Welcome back Walt Disney World! I am so excited just to know that WDW has submitted opening plans and they will be back to making the magic again soon (if approved). Even though we won’t be going until March 2021, it gives me so much joy just to know they are there and open, I never realized how much I took that for granted before. I think they will do everything they can to keep their guests and cast members safe and I applause them for that! Hey and who knows maybe we can scoot down later this year for a quick trip. Only time will tell, and if not March it is. Hope. There are so many things to say about hope. “Hope is being able to see that there is light despite the darkness”. For me this photo, this view, this place on earth remind me that while times are dark, the place that fills my spirit with magic and hope is closed now, but will be there shining it’s guiding light soon. It may look different for a while, but that magic spirit and how they conduct themselves during this time is the true measure of hope. Today I want to talk about a different love (who am I kidding? Disney is still sprinkled in there everywhere)! Planners and collecting Louis Vuitton pieces and Rae Dunn are some of my other hobbies. Though the LV is on hold indefinitely until I know things are stable again. My planner is my brain, I keep everything that I need to function in my planner and a little bit of pretty. I can’t remember a time when I didn’t have a paper agenda dating all the way back to grade school. There is just something so satisfying about writing things down, especially when things are all digital these days. Planning and spending time in my planner really helps to sooth my mind, and even though in these uncertain times I don’t have a lot going on, just having it near me, knowing I can just doodle or journal gives me such peace of mind. How do I stay Calm in times of uncertainty? Admittedly it’s a little hard for me, but if these past few weeks have taught me anything it’s that I am a little stronger than I give myself credit for. Some of the things that have been my calming influence are thinking of Disney, knowing that the place I love so much will be back as soon as it’s safe. Having a routine has been helping, trying to keep to a schedule, separating work from home and animal crossing! It helps a lot! Another thing that keeps me calm is my @calmbywellnessco CBD oil. This ones for all of my DVC members! Have you been to the Top of the World lounge at Bay Lake Tower? They have a semi limited menu but what they do have is fantastic!!! This fishbowl drink..top notch, the nachos, I can’t even talk about how amazing they were and the pulled pork sliders were super tasty! The grand finale is the amazing 7 layer cake that is absolutely worth the visit to the lounge alone. Feeling a little cloudy today. I officially canceled my Disneyland trip today for next week. Not because I’m scared of the virus, but because the pre part of the trip was canceled by the company, so there’s just no way logically. I am just super bummed out about it. Not even just about Disney, but I miss the sunshine, I miss warmer weather, I miss feeling the warmth on my face. Disneyland! Just a few more days away! Well sorta, leaving in a few days for San Diego first! I’m so excited to be back on the West Coast! I’m excited for Sunshine, I’m excited for In & Out! Haven’t done a castle photo in the last couple of posts! Hah! So here ya go! It’s been a rough Monday. Having a bit of a mental health challenge. I’m crabby AF, I’m a little disappointed by some stuff (not WW), and I’m just sleepy. It’s one of those days where I don’t even want to be around myself! But the one positive that did come out of today is that I was listing to @sorcererradio and they were playing the nighttime shows and HEA came on and this feeling of calm just washed over me. It was almost surreal, while I was working on my homework, which has also been kicking my ass, and I just sat there and remembered why I went back to school at 34, and how it IS a big deal and I am chasing my happily ever after. So there is always a silver lining.
