Vraj tá 8000 kolónia, ktorá tu žije už dlhé roky naháňa žralokom strach a voda, v ktorej sa šnorchlujeme je príliš plytká… Tak sme len dôverovali sprievodcovi a dúfali, že všetko dobre dopadne. Bola to zaujímavá skúsenosť, lebo mláďatá sa najskôr oťukávali, no potom rozbláznili tak, že sa nám vešali na plutvy, ťahali nás alebo ťukali nosom do kamery. Každopádne, majú tam úplnú voľnosť a nás hlavne bavilo pozorovať, akí rýchli v tej vode boli. 🇬🇧 In the South Africa, you can watch dolphins, whales, sink in a shark cage or, like us, snorkel with seals. On the first day, I found myself simply gazing at the mountains from a distance. However, it felt as if the mountains themselves were asking me, ‘Are you just going to sit there and watch me?’ That’s when I decided to embark on a hike up the mountain. My next stop was Samoa 🇼🇸, it first didn’t start well…. I tried to celebrate new year twice, but I was not allowed to board because of 1 document which I missed…. So in the end I changed my plans and I ended up staying for 1 month. It went from disaster to the best time because of all the awesome people I met! You know who you are 😇. It’s really in the middle of the ocean and not very touristy yet so you have clear blue waters all to yourself, I haven’t seen this clear water anywhere else and the amount of fish and corals you see from the get go is amazing! I almost went swimming every day here, compared to almost never in Hawaii. Because Samoa doesn’t have a crime problem so I could actually leave my bag without worrying something would happen….. the people are the nicest and friendliest, they don’t have much but they give everything they have! The nature is impeccable, and again no tourists. From beautiful beaches to ocean trenches and muddy jungle walks. Samoa has it all! I can’t recommend it enough. My time on Oahu didn’t start great, I tried to push to many things in little time as usual and I ended up realising that what I was doing was stupid so I ended up coming back to Oahu after my first 5 day visit. Anyhow so I definitely had some struggles here. First I paid 150 euros for parking because I couldn’t find any parking nearby until the 3rd day. Later at the end of my second stay my car got towed even and I had to pay 150 to get it back 😂. Honolulu is the worst parking I have ever seen! I paid 770 euros for an apartment with ocean view for 1 week. Those are the prices here haha. Anyway just to show you that Instagram and reality isn’t always the same. I did love Oahu island and I hope to go back one day maybe. The nature is impeccable and water amazing! The vibes are awesome. Honolulu is the most isolated metropolitan in the world btw. Fjallabak Nature Reserve is arguably the largest geothermal area in Iceland, and part of a unique active volcanic system, the Torfajokull Volcanic System. About 55,000 years ago, the Torfajökull volcano erupted so much material that it formed a giant caldera (a depression that forms when a volcano erupts and collapses). Landmannalaugar is located within its rim, and makes up the rim itself. This was one of the largest eruptions in the history of Iceland. The Torfajökull Volcanic System has relatively high acidity, and produces a rare type of lava composed of rhyolite rather than basalt. The rhyolite is part of what gives this area its vibrant coloring. Today, many of the rocks and colorful mountains that you see in Landmannalaugar are made of rhyolite; in fact, this area has the most rhyolite in the entire country. Thousands of years of smaller volcanic eruptions, geothermal activity, chemical erosion, water erosion, and other geological processes have also played a role in reshaping and molding this area into one of the most colorful and unique landscapes in all of Iceland. My time on the big Island also called Hawai’i (yes the Kingdom of hawai’i was named after the biggest Island) was with ups and downs. I had a 10 day house sit with 2 Labrador puppies, also living with one of the owners there. Working 40 hours plus overactive puppies and an owner checking you everyday was a bit hectic to say the least. Here I also felt my first ever earthquake! (3,6) After this I left for the east side, towards Hilo. This is the rainy side and that was quite obvious. At times it was actually cold! Here I explored both volcanoes and this was the first for me. Totally amazing! Absolutely beautiful experience. I also visited the recent lava fields, you are walking on big black waves of solidified lava. Boulders Beach in Cape Town - home of the African penguin. 🐧 This was such a childhood favourite day out and it was so nice to come back again for a visit. They've done a great job keeping people from disturbing the beach but still allowing a good view of the penguins, so really didn't mind paying the entry fee knowing it's being put to good use!
