When I decide to quit my jobs and go work with Eveline at school almost every day... 🤔 I did not think of these two things: 1. When working from 8.45 am until 3.45 pm from Monday until Friday (Wednesday until 12.30 pm), the city is super crowded. Where I could walk home super relaxed after working at the doctor's practice (ended at 5.30 pm) I am now surrounded by 3 to 18 years olds on bikes, steps, by foot. They are literally everywhere. That never crossed my mind I would need to adjust to this. 😱 And 2. When you're in a classroom the whole day with a bunch of 8 year olds, they are willingly sharing their germs. So strange. All this time I worked at the doctor's practice, where all kinds of diseases passed my desk, I did not get sick. Except for Covid, after working there over one month and a little cold after working there a year. And stomach flu last January. But after 4 days with a classroom full of 8 year olds, that's like volunteering to accept and to take their germs and keep them, only to spray them back into the classroom after the weekend. Change is good. ❤️ Because I was offline for over 3 weeks I had not had the chance to tell you: Not only did we move out and in, not only do we live in 1/2 newly painted apartment now, I also... Made a career switch. 😱 Like over 6 weeks ago, a question was popped. 😳 'Would you like to assist Eveline at school, more than just 1 day a week? Is there a possibility you would quit your other jobs?' Wow. First thing I said: 'I would never quit my job at the doctor's practice. Never. You can't ask me that.' 🤷🏼‍♀️ Later that evening I started thinking. What if I would quit that job? Would I be able to still be happy as I am now? Knowing that this is sorta, kinda more like a project than a lifetime (until retirement) job? Because we don't know what Eveline's illness will do to her, we don't know how long she will be in school? 🤔 Long story short: I did quit. 😅 I sent my 5 weeks notice to both of my employers not knowing what the future will hold. So last week I had my first almost full week with Eveline. And it was great. I'm well aware of the difficulties. For example: I'm surrounded by 8yo's the whole time, it's a one on one relationship when it comes to working in class, it's not a very long term thing. 😑 And because it's a one on one, I do miss my colleague very much. Interactions with our patients. Adult-talks. 😏 But to see Eveline smile every day makes it worth it. ☺️ I get to build a very special bound with this girl, full of dreams and hopes. Who cares if it's not long-term? Even if we only get 5 years together... 🥺 I feel privileged to be this much in her life. 🤗 Including the downs. Mostly ups for now. But including the downs. 😌 So yes, I only have one job now. One job. That's a huge deal for me. 😂 Telling Eveline on Friday at 3.45 pm 'we'll see each other again on Monday at 8.30 am' and seeing her smile... I know I've made the right decision. 🥰

What do you do when you see someone fall off of her bike, hit her head on the sidewalk and she's not moving? You call an ambulance. That's what you do. 🫣 Today I picked up Hera, youngest niece, we went to get my nails done, we then picked up Vitus, my youngest nephew, had 🍦 together and while walking home, we saw a woman falling off of her bike. We were 15 meters away. There were people 1.5 meters away from her. I grabbed Vitus his arm and said we needed to help. All of these people were just standing there for like 20 secs, numbed. While talking to the person who fell (she seemed unconscious, conscious, unconscious), I took my phone, called the ambulance and luckily 2 men (one had a medical degree, thank God! 🙏) came over to help. While a lot of people just kept staring. I gave instructions to the 112-person while keeping an eye on the two kids and only 10 minutes later the ambulance arrived. 🚑 Vitus asked me if we could watch what was going to happen, he was happy to see an ambulance this close. Sure. We took a few steps back and I explained him everything. ❤️‍🩹 What the nurses were doing, the supplies they used. What was going to happen with the injured woman once she would arrive at the hospital. Why you need to wear a helmet when riding a bike, why you should always pay attention to the road. 🫣 He was calm and intrigued. I was calm and on the other hand, in shock. Because why would you keep staring at a person in need? Obviously she wasn't getting up by herself. Obviously she was injured. Obviously she needed help. While waiting for the ambulance a lot of people did come and check on her and the ones already helping her to see if more help was needed and if the ambulance was already on its way. Thank you!!! ❤️ But those secs between her falling down and arriving at the spot. Wow. Please always remember this could happen to you and/or someone you really love. ❤️ Please help when you can. ❤️ Please be careful when you are on the road. By foot, bike, car... ❤️ I hope this woman is going to be okay. And I hope my little nephew will wear his helmet when riding his bike. 🤨

Lucky number 39! 🍀 It's my birthday! And I'm back on the internet, on the phone, on life! 💪 My internet connection was gone for weeks, they weren't able to fix it right away. Then there were issues with my debit card, a half painted living room, having to deal with leaving the loveliest place to work, saying goodbye to my lovely coworkers at the doctor's practice and starting a new job. 😳 The past few weeks I was disconnected to the real and online world a lot. I even got bird pooh on my head while enjoying a coffee with Elle's grandmother, my favorite pants got ripped, one of my plants needed cpr, my phone wasn't working... But last Friday she said she wanted the room on the left. So I had to switch everything from the room on the left to the room on the right and put the things from the room on the right in our hallway in order to have enough room to paint. 😬 Yup, I had to take down and put back up the bed. 😂 Not an April fool's joke. When coming home feels like homecoming... After a very busy week at work, work and work, trying to get the apartment a little more organized, empty out cardboard boxes, a goodbye that came too soon, a visit to the emergency room (not for me), trying to put together a bed and some racks, installing my washer and dryer, a small festival on an ordinary Wednesday... 😳 And even though we still need to pick a new couch, closets, a microwave (how did I not see it's not included in the kitchen), paint and so much more... 🫣 I can honestly say: I came home. ❤️ This feels like home. Moving in-and-on-update! ❤️ Yes, I've let out 'out'. 🤔 Because the 'moving out' part is done. 👌 Maybe in one week I can let the 'in' out. (Making it complicated) The last few days have been very busy (but you already have a clue of my life, so no surprises there). 🧐 And the upcoming days are going to be pretty busy as well (same). 🤷🏼‍♀️ In a few weeks I'll have a much more normal life, more on that later. 🫶 But now that I've moved in and am still working on my making-my-house-a-home, I tried to let some things go. And hey, I have a hallway again. Moving in, moving out, moving on - update! 🥹 So last Saturday was the big relocation day. 📦 I thought I would have my emotions under control. But well, it was hard. 😏 Not only the fact that I didn't leave much behind in the old home (almost everything is mine and I felt bad for S.) but also all of those things needed to go into our (Elle's, Little Prince Charming's and mine) apartment. 😒 Luckily I had my brothers to help me out and my sweetest niece Fenna and my cookie Elle. Could not have done it without them. 🫶 Elle went back to her dad's on Sunday. Because our new place was completely stacked and she did not feel at home here. It'll turn out okay. 🥰 On Sunday, Monday and today I had to work and I did not want to leave the dog all alone. 🫣 So then I was lucky to have S. who wanted to dogsit him. And for the past 72h I've been surviving, or trying to, at the new place. 😂 Working the rest of the week too. So in-between shifts I'm trying to get things done at home. 💤 This is what happens when you work 3 jobs and move out and aren't able to take a break from work. 🙄 I'm feeling super lucky to have such nice friends who help me out, both by supporting me online and in RL. Rare disease day! February 29. 🫶 I've been privileged to work with a lovely girl with a rare disease, since November 2023. My dear Eveline, Although you struggle with your daily life, although you sometimes hate kind of being stuck in that body of yours, Although you're 99% of the day tight to a wheelchair, although you need someone to support you (both physically as well as mentally) with everyday 'normal' tasks for any other 8 years olds... 🩷 You are one of the strongest people I know. You make me laugh when you act funny. And damn you really can be funny. 😂 You surprise me with things you CAN do/learn. You make me smile and emotional every time you lay your head on my shoulder when we read a book during your so needed break from school. 🩷 When you open and close the zippers on my leather jacket, when you help me help you clean your feeding tube. 🩷 On Monday you fell because you were too fast and I was too slow. I couldn't catch you on time. You weren't angry with me. 🫶 On Tuesday I fell on the streets while pushing you and you laughed so hard I didn't feel embarrassed at all. Yesterday was only the second day of the week and I felt super tired already. 🫣 Of course Wednesday (today) wouldn't be much better, I instantly knew. 🤐 Besides packing for our (Elle's, Little Prince Charming's and mine) move somewhere in a month, I have 3 employers to keep satisfied. 🫡 It ain't easy. 🫣 I had to change 2 work schedules in order to make sure Eveline (I'm her assistant at school) had a useful occupation on Monday and Tuesday, because her other assistant is sick. And the rest of the work needs to be done too. 💁🏼‍♀️ The next 5 weeks will be exhausting. So this evening I treated myself to a long hot bath. It was so relaxing, clearing my head and ban all the to do's out of my head, with a cappuccino in one hand and a sponge in the other. 🧘🏼‍♀️ Now I can handle the rest of the week. 💪 The place Elle, Little Prince Charming and I are moving to does NOT have a bath tub. 😬 Only a shower. 🚿 So I will need to figure out a new way to completely relax when it all gets a little overwhelming. 🫣 Our new place does have an oven. Moving out... 📦 Moving in... 🏡 Moving on... 🫶 It took me a while to post a pic this month. And there are several reasons for that. 🫦 1. I've been sick for weeks and still am. It started on January 14: vomiting, diarrhea... 🤢 Further details will be left behind. 😂 Then a cold passed my house. 🤧 Flu. 🤒 Plus severe coughing. 🥴 Not being able to sleep because I was coughing the whole night through. 4 weeks of not sleeping well now. 🥺 2. Work has been crazy. 🤯 Combining 3 jobs ain't easy. And it won't get any better the next 6 weeks, because I will have to work a little bit more/harder now Eveline's (I'm one of her personal assistants) other assistant won't be able to come to work until Easter break. 🫣 3. A hard but well thought through decision was made at our house. Elle, Little Prince Charming and I are moving out somewhere in the next couple of weeks. Which means it'll be just the 3 of us again. We've found a new place to make it into our home. And even though it is my decision and I am fully behind it, it wasn't easy. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I can't go into details. Because A) I'm not ready for it and B) Atm there's not much to tell. S. and I are on speaking terms (we've never been on non-speaking terms, because I simply can't stop talking), we don't fight, we will try to make the best out of it, whatever the future brings. Last night, I turned coffee and fries into vomit. Your turn now, Jesus. 😏 Wowwieh, I completely forgot about how helpless you can feel when sick. And it only lasted 24h. 🤐 So that's nothing compared to others. 😶‍🌫️ I'm well aware this was peanuts. Only being able to walk from the couch to the toilet and back is the worst. 😐 I even called in sick at work yesterday. I never do that. So you can imagine how ugly it was. 😂 I lost my self-respect and 4 pounds. 🤔 But I'm back now. Vomiting is the worst. I hate it. I absolutely hate it. Today was a day of firsts. 🫣 I took E. to the pool with me. 🫣 And I hate swimming. 😂 E. is the girl I assist at school on Thursdays, she has Ataxia Telangiectasia. A physical illness. E. is 8. She has a vibrant personality. She's sweet. And she knows what she wants. She might not speak a lot. But she's able to perfectly tell people what she needs. By signing, short sentences, eye contact. 💪 Taking a kid with difficulties to the pool with me was kinda exciting. Both positive and negative. 🫢 I had no idea what I was getting myself into. 3.5h in all kind of pools, the ones for babies, the slides, the pool outside (crazy, right)... A day of firsts. She totally depended on me. She needs me to keep her safe in the water. 👐 A day of firsts. People staring non stop. Not in a good way. 👀 A day of firsts. While taking our clothes back from out of the locker, everything fell on the floor. E. her arms were wrapped around my right leg because she can't stand up for too long all by herself, while I tried to pick everything back up and prayed for dry clothes even though our pants and shirts stared at us from a puddle of pool water. 😏 A day of firsts. Candy Cane Day 🥳 Ya'll survived Christmas eve and Christmas and the second day of Christmas? 🫣 I did. 🙋🏼‍♀️ Christmas eve spent at home with my crazy little family, Christmas day at my parent's house and had to go to work in the evening. About a week ago I went to one of my favorite candy stores in @stadmechelen and as I entered I saw the cutest chocolates. 🍫 The shop owner, a very nice guy with a lovely Dutch accent, said that these would be great for Christmas eve with a cup of coffee after dessert. 😋 Little did he know, the chocolates wouldn't make it until Christmas eve. 😂 They did pair well with coffee. I can tell you that. 😋 I just got home from doing my Christmas shopping with Elle. I really really need to organize better when it comes to buying gifts. 😏 I promised myself and all of you guys in yesterday's post. We are talking being at the gym where there are bouncy castles and balls and trampolines while I'm surrounded by one hundred 8 year-olds, a coffee as soon as I get home from assisting E. all day is in order. 😱 Years ago when my friend H. had a little kid, she texted me out of nowhere: 'Respect! I now get it. I get why you were tired when Elle was born, when she was sick and you took care of her by yourself. I respect you. I now get it.' 🥰 I replied: 'I wasn't given a choice. I did what I had to do.' 🤷🏼‍♀️ She's a teacher. But she saw 'the light' back then and totally understood that, when it's your own kid and you're doing at by yourself, or most of it, it's really hard. 💁🏼‍♀️ Today... I voice messaged her: 'Oh my ****, remember when you texted me that you respect me? I spent all afternoon in a huge building surrounded with a crazy amount of kids, all dying to get on the bouncy castles and I was responsible for E. and she can't reach the top by herself because of her disability. And I had to pick her up several times and push her on the ladder, lift her to reach the top. I totally respect you.' 🫶 Being surrounded by 100 kids is hard. A coffee when I came home was what I needed and I deserved it more than I did this morning. 🤐 I also admire E. for not giving up, even though it was though getting on the ladder. Oh wow! 😳 The unthinkable happened today! 😱 A whole day without rain! And there was sun. Lots of sun. 🥳 Can't remember the last time we had a day without rain. 😅 Today I had to go to work and work and in-between shifts I scheduled a doctor's appointment. Me: 'When was the last time I had a blood check up?' 🤔 My doctor: 'It's been a while. Maybe we should do one now, because last time you had a huge shortage on vitamins.' 👩🏼‍⚕️ In went the needle, out came the blood. 🩸 Now I have to wait for a phone call from my doctor to get the results. 🤞 Went to work at the doctor's practice this afternoon. Told one of the doctors I had my blood tested. 🩸 Him: 'Why?' 🤔 Me: 'Well, I'm super tired. Like all the time. That's not normal.' 😏 Him: 'You had your blood tested because YOU are tired? If I would work as much hours as YOU do, I would be tired too.' 🫣 Hmm, point taken. 😏 But... I'm trying to find a different answer. A different reason on why I'm tired. It's easier for me to take extra vitamins than to work less. 🧐 Because I love all my jobs. Ok 2 of them I really adore. ❤️ The other one is just an extra. Not willing to give that up either. E. tapped my shoulder and... ❤️ Last week I noticed E. wasn't feeling 100% comfortable during P.E., so did I. Exercises with balls? Not our cup of coffee. 😏 She did not tell me. E. doesn't communicate like we do. 🤔 She wants to. But she can't. It also takes a lot of time for her to feel comfy enough with people to explain (signing, symbols,...) what she needs when she needs it. And although I asked her multiple times, she did not respond. 🤐 When leaving P.E. I told her: it's a little harder for me to help you if you don't tell me what you want. Can we make an agreement? Some kind of thing between the two of us, a sign, so I know when you need me to take you someplace else? When you need me to help you get in your wheelchair and push you out of the uncomfortable situation? Can you please tap my shoulder? Then I know what to do. 🤔 Today she tapped my shoulder and said: sofa! Me: OK, let's go. 👩‍🦽🏃🏼‍♀️ Sofa equals rest. She gets to lay on the sofa in the hallway and I always read her a book while she rests her eyes and head. 🥰 I thanked her for letting me know specifically what she needed. This morning, while I was looking for Elle's gym clothes, I felt pretty lucky not having gym classes because I'm no longer a student. 😅 And then, as if she knew it... A text from J., who's E.'s mom, and E. is the girl I get to assist at school: 'Almost forgot to tell you, on Wednesday it's P.E. at school. E. gets to choose if she wants to participate or not. But you might want to bring sneakers with you.' Wait... What? 😱 I immediately had high-school flashbacks. Not getting picked because I suck. Not being able to follow the rest of the kids. Sweating. 😱 Ugh. 🫣 Anyway. For E. I wanted to participate. First of all: she's in a wheelchair and needs to be part of school activities as much as possible. 🥰 And second: I get paid to be sportive and that's the first time ever I get paid to 'move' my body. 😂 Oh lord. This gym class was all about balls. Throwing and trying to catch them, trying to avoid getting caught, running and ... ⚽️ I hate activities where balls fly and come close to my face. 🫣 I hate it. Hi! I'm back. 🫣 I wasn't really gone but a lack of time because of busy days and the need to let the gram rest for a bit... 🧘🏼‍♀️ Last week I started working at 'job' number 3. 🫶 3 weeks ago I saw a job description I had been looking for, for quiet some time. A little girl's parents, a princess with both mental and physical disorders, or as I like to call it 'difficulties', were looking for an extra assistant. 😳 A person who their child could lean on, someone to assist her at school, during school and sometimes outside school. An 8 year old, who received the devastating news of being incurable ill a few years ago. 😔 She probably does not get it herself. But I instantly felt a connection. I needed to do this. 😳 So after the job application and interview, I started this new mission last week, normally only on Thursday. But this week I get to assist her 3 days at school. 🥳 Meaning I had to puzzle and reschedule my two other jobs. 🫣 But that's ok. The idea of helping her (and with that her parents) is the best thing ever. Although she doesn't speak that much, we communicate by symbols and her computer. And I made her day by giving her my cookie, because she didn't like the one she had with her that day. 🍪 Anyway, those are the reasons why I've been 'gone' for a few days. 💕 1. I'm pretty busy 2. I came home from work at 12.15 today and caught Elle watching a TV show on hotdog sausages. 🌭 'Mom, I want a hotdog.' 😊 💭 Wait, what? 🫣 'Because of this TV show I'm in the mood for hotdogs. The one where I had coffee in Chandler's apartment... ☕️ Last summer I took Elle to @friendstheexperience in Brussels. One thing you should know about Elle, who turned 14 today 🎈 (time flies), is that it took me forever to make her fall in love with @friends. 😳 FOR EVER. 😱 Every time I was watching it on TV, she made me change the channel. 🙄 But a little over 2 years ago, when she was old enough to get most of the jokes 😂 and still young enough to not get all of the jokes 😂 (haha), she started watching it, first daily. Then several a day. And then she got hooked. Just like me. 🥰 And today I forwarded her an newspaper article on how Chandler died. 🥺 It's sad. It actually hurt. In-between rain showers, it was a wonderful weekend. 🙌 The last 2 days were all about work and reading. Yup I got a new self-help book. 🫣 Yup another one on tidying up and getting organized. 😂 Although I'm like Marie Kondo's biggest fan (yes even now that she gave up herself), I too still need to be reminded of what needs to be done in and around the house. Wow! 😳 Somehow I survived today. 🫶 I've been running and cycling around all day long. 🫡 Had to wake up really early because I had to babysit 2 adorable kids from 8 am until 11.45 am. 🥰 Then I drove to the market to get some chicken for Maryse and picked up Elle's new shoes at the post office. 🚲 I dropped off Maryse's chicken, so she could have lunch on time and took her grocery list and went to the store for her. Dropped off her groceries, went home, put in laundry, ironed Elle's clothes, took out the laundry to dry. Packed Elle's clothes and drove off to her dad's house. 😶‍🌫️ When I finally got home it felt as if life was leaving my body. Weird feeling but not that unthinkable after the day/week I had. 🤭 Tomorrow I'm only working for 2.5h. And have a meeting scheduled with (hopefully) a new 'client' to help around with groceries/compagnon/... 🫶 After that, I will take some much needed me-time. I'm all about the bake, about the bake, no treble. 🍞 Yesterday I baked bread. Yes I did. And it worked out pretty great. 🤔 The one I thought was going to be a complete failure from the beginning, turned out to be better than the one I made a few minutes later because I thought the first one was going to be a complete failure. 😅 Still following? 😂 I missed one tiny step when preparing the dough the first time. But I didn't throw it in the trash can. 🧏🏼‍♀️ Because well... You simple never know if you don't keep trying. 🫣 The second one came out of the oven looking like a rotisserie chicken. Weird shape, not that tasty. 😂 So happy I didn't throw away the first dough and tried to finish it the best way I could. 🙌 Succeeded. 🥳 It wasn't perfect. But it was baked with love. Today my little niece and I made new memories. 🥰 Ok she will not remember any of it. 64 plant care tasks to complete today? 🫣 First coffee! ☕️ Oh I had a wonderful day today. 💕 First I took the dog for a walk, had a Chai outside, went grocery shopping for Maryse (yup still volunteering), took a long hot bath and washed away my messy-mom-look and went to visit 2 of my favorite people in @stadmechelen. 🤗 We walked and walked and had delicious ice-cream. I talked about my old boyfriends and how I got dumped and that the province of Antwerp was considered mine once we had split up and he got his province but somehow I bumped into him on my part of Belgium years ago. 😅 She talked about her past relationships. The good, the bad and the ugly. They all came up. 😂 Yup. That's what girls do. 😂😂😂 Although I'm exhausted from work the past few days, this was exactly what I needed. Ten toes and ten fingers and a 5 month young baby attached to those 20 tiny things, took my breath away today. ❤️ After work this morning I went straight home to mentally (Hello Chai ☕️) and physically (a little cleanup 🫧) prepare myself to pick up my littlest niece at the daycare. 👶🏼 Even though she has seen me multiple times I was kinda nervous. 🙃 Sure, she had no choice but to come with me and spend the entire afternoon at my house. But what if she would protest and cry as soon as I picked her up? 🤔 It all started 2 months ago. I splurged out to my brother and sister in law: 'Does she really have to spend 5 days a week at the daycare? Can't I keep her? For instance every Monday afternoon? I'm free on Monday afternoon you know?!' 🫣 Me, a person who's not even into babies, had somehow suggested it would be a good idea to take care of someone else's baby. 😂 I'm okay with +1 year old kids. But a baby? 😂 For some strange reason, I really really wanted to do this. I want to build a special connection with her. I can't explain. But this tiny person, this lovely miracle, has swept me off my feet the moment I met her. 😳 We had such a great time today. I'm already looking forward to next Monday. Hera... There simply is no such thing as too much coffee on a Friday. ❤️ Or on every other day of the week tbh. 🫶 So how are ya'll doing? Sunday... And an extremely sunny day! 🌞 This morning, I asked Elle what she wanted for breakfast. Cereal. Our kitchen is on the ground floor, she was on the first, doing her homework. 📕 So I took a box of cereal, a bowl with milk and a spoon upstairs. ⬆️ When I 'served' her breakfast, she looked at me, horrified. 😱 Me: 'What's wrong?' 😶‍🌫️ Elle: 'Only psychopaths do that.' 😳 Me: 'Do what?' 🫣 Elle: 'First fill a bowl with milk and then add the cereal.' 😱 She had to add the cereal herself. Wake me up... Bring me back to life... 🥱 It's funny how my plant caring app seems to know I had a hard and long day at work. It gave me only 8 plant caring tasks for the day. 😅 Tomorrow needs to be a better day at work. Because my app says I will have to complete 41 tasks on Friday. 😳 Not a picture perfect dining room yet. - I'm his friend - Two very busy days I've had. 🤯 And I just realized our summer break is over. 😱 Tomorrow school restarts. And I was supposed to get extremely organized before September 1st. Embarrassing moments... Part 1034... 🫣 I had my day planned with all sorts of to do's. 💪 From baking an ordinary pound cake, a brownie cake and cream cheese cookies for my nephew's birthday party (his big sis organized a surprise party for his 11th birthday, how sweet ❤️ and we baked all of those things together in only 2.5h) to doing some laundry, from plant caring to cleaning up some junk... 📃 Oh and work. 😏 Huge to do list. I'm telling you... And then I noticed 2 boxes in the bedroom. 😱 2 boxes I moved in 1 year and 1 day ago... Untouched for 366 days. 😏 (Or so I thought.) Wow. 🤯 I took them to the living room to check what's in them. I was horrified. Old documents that no longer matter. Scented candles. A bunch of birthday cards I received more than 7 years ago. Chargers for phones we tossed away many years ago. Matching cellphone covers. Headphones too. How did I not see this for 366 days? And longer. Because well, the **** that's in it is not what we used in our previous home either. 😳 Anyway... I sorted everything out. And it's ready to toss away for good. 👋 This is pretty embarrassing to me. Sundays should come with a pause button. ⏸️ Elle just left to go on a last minute vacation. When she called me a little over a week ago, I said: 'Sure, why not? Soilmate... 🥰 Almost 1 year ago we left our apartment right outside the city and moved into a house in the city. 🫣 Time flies. 😳 One month later S. brought 3 plants into our house. And I was NOT amused. 🙄 I mean, as a professional plant killer, I have been held accountable for a few dead cacti and balcony greenery. Plus having plants is such a huge responsibility, plants live. They need love. And lots of it. S. was supposed to take care of them. But miserably failed. 😬 So a few weeks ago I 🙋🏼‍♀️, yup professional plant killer, suggested I would take care of them from that moment on. What do you meme? 🤐 Took 3 teenage girls shopping in Antwerp yesterday. 🫢 One is mine, duh. And then my two lovely goddaughters. ❤️ Yes I have 2 now. But the second one 'came later'. Funny thing was: They fully included me. 🫶 And let's be honest, that's not that common when they are in their teens. 🥹 While eating hamburgers on the biggest shopping street of Antwerp (2 of us gave in (flexi-tarians for once)) all of the sudden we were talking about our periods. About leakage, about how uncomfortable life can be while on our period and about birth control. 🫣 Somehow a vasectomy came up and I almost chocked in my burger. 😂 One of them never had Starbucks before, so we had to do that as well. ☕️ And all of them bought fake nails. 💅 I had a blast with my 3 girls. 🥰 They all stayed the night and I heard them talking until 2.30am. 😂 I hoped they would sleep in. But that was not the case. Saturdays are for going to the marketplace, going planter shopping and eating out. ❤️ That last thing didn't happen. 😳 Our dog got stung by a wasp in the afternoon and because he had an allergic reaction to it 2 years ago, I called the vet and she said not to worry, allergic reactions happen within a few minutes. 😌 She also said it would take 2 to 3 hours tops for the pain to go away. 😔 I was not going to let him all alone. 🥺 My poor baby. DIN - damsel in distress 🫣 [ dam-zuhl in di-stres ] noun a person, usually a young woman, who needs to be rescued from danger or trouble of some kind 😶‍🌫️ So me, trying to do my best to help others and by that making my own life a little more stressful... 🤔 suggested I'd pick up some stuff to eat/drink for my brother's family when they come back from vacay tomorrow. 😅 Took my super cool electric cargo bike after work (which was stressful too) and drove to my favorite grocery store. 🫶 Sun was out. I was unstoppable. 😂 When I arrived at the store, it turned out to be closed because of an electrical issue. So I had to drive to another grocery store because I promised there would be food and I never break a promise. 🤞 When I walked in, I was completely lost, couldn't find what I needed and wanted for them and Elle (she comes back tomorrow) and I almost freaked out directly.
