Was telling John about my first very young teenage self first seeing this image- these puppets (and then the other photos inside) and being utterly IN AWE and confused and intriqued and rather scared and beguiled - yes that the word- #beguiled as these wild foreign cavemen in platform shoes and tight pants looked threatening and seductive and unpredictable and very very mysterious! Inici amb Fay Hallum, actualment a The Catenary Wires, fent un set del grup Makin' Time que tenia als 80s de Mod Revival. Bon concert. Han seguit The Veras fent el seu powerpop/britpop. Acte seguit, ha sortit en Kenney Jones dels Small Faces, Faces i que encara va passar pels Who... Han fet un set Small Faces. Entranyable més que qualitatiu. Finalment, del millor que he vist aquest any, amb la PP Arnold. Repertori dels singles amb Immediate, com a Ikkete i mil anècdotes com a part de l'Ike and Tina Turner Revue o amb en Mick Jagger... Amb el "The First Cut is The Deepest" he plorat d'emoció. #OnThisDay... 16 March 1981 The Who + Q Tips Playing the final date of their last and longest ever UK theatre tour, @officialthewho arrived in Poole having fully re-established themselves as a band following the death of drummer @keithmoonofficial in 1978. With sterling support from @paulyoungparlez and his band Q-Tips, a sell-out crowd of old and new mods and rockers lapped up a typically incendiary performance, edgy and playing to the crowd, but in control, particularly taciturn bassist @johnentwistle_officialfanpage – at one point he was so still a single string on his instrument was picked out by a laser. Rough recordings of the gig continue to surface from time to time. In Who circles though the gig is remembered for different reasons. As the last night of the tour, it was yet another excuse for a party and even in the light of The Who’s considerable reputation for excess, the band and their entourage really tied one on at the @bournemouthcarlton Hotel that night. According to legendary Who courtier Irish Jack it was the wildest one ever.
