Je n’arrive toujours pas à poser les bons mots. Un raid arctique ? Une expédition en autonomie ? Une aventure (givrée) ? Nous en avons nous-mêmes discuté sous la tente mess alors même que nous étions en train de vivre l’expérience. Chacun de nous avait sa propre définition de ce que doit être une expédition pour en mériter l’appellation. Le dénominateur commun semblait néanmoins être la notion d’autonomie. Et il est vrai que nous avons accédé à des lieux où aucun être humain ne semblait nous avoir précédé cette année. Le prix à payer étant l’autonomie en nourriture (nous la portions) et en moyen de locomotion (nos skis). La combinaison de conditions météo extrêmes (tempêtes, jours de blanc, soleil) et de paysages variés (fjords, glaciers multicolores, montagne, banquise) nous a offert une diversité de situations que je n’aurais jamais pu imaginer. Cette parenthèse était grandiose. Merci à la team pour les rigolades et le soutien, merci à @terresoubliees et @sebastien_royer pour avoir imaginé ce voyage et surtout un grand merci à notre magic guide @florent_chabrier Quand l’avion du retour a décollé de Constable Point, j’ai ete submergée par une vague de tristesse, cela n’a duré que quelques minutes, le temps de réaliser que je n’étais pas triste de quitter cet endroit unique mais que j’y laissais à tout jamais une part de moi. Car selon le célèbre adage, ça n’est pas nous qui faisons le voyage, c’est le voyage qui nous fait !

26. April 2024. Das war nun der letzte Skitag meiner bisher längsten Skisaison, die am 25. November in Brandenburg begann und nach einem Zeitraum von 155 Tagen gestern am #Fichtelberg in #oberwiesenthal endete. Am Morgen waren mit -1°C noch recht gute Bedingungen. Um die Mittagszeit konnte man dann aber dem Schnee beim Schmelzen zusehen.
