The importance in self care is not talked about enough. Last week I had a staycation and the biggest perk was an outdoor bath. One of my biggest fears before having my stoma was the ability to have a bath, but I can say it is NO issue. If anything it is better. My @coloplast.uk bags last HOURS in water, my longest time to date is 5 hours in a hot tub and even then it was very well stuck on considering. I recognise the importance of giving myself time to rest, although I find it hard to 'stop' but when I do, I appreciate it. We knocked out a window in this room, replaced it with French doors, and then enclosed a corner of the facade of the house with breeze blocks to create this beautiful space under the stars and sun. Continuing the floor tiles from inside makes the space seem huge, and lush overgrown plantings around the entire perimeter in a channel, supplies the hit of greenery. This cottage on a farm in the middle of nowhere was the perfect getaway, & the outdoor bath tub with a view of the vast farmland below was a dream. Since cows were the only beings out there, I enjoyed the tub the way tubs are meant to be enjoyed - in my birthday suit! I had complete privacy, & it was so refreshing. "Shimohana no Yu" is a hidden hot spring surrounded by snowy mountains. This special place was named after the trees around it that are covered in frost in winter, making them look like flowers in bloom.
