Encore un repost de mon ancien compte mais c’est trop important pour ne pas en parler « Elle tenait deux esquimaux dans chacune de ses mains boudinées » Voilà comment est introduit le seul personnage gros de l’histoire. En ouvrant ce livre je ne m’attendais certainement pas à tomber sur un florilège de grossophobie et pourtant elle est présente partout. Le personnage dont on parle s’appelle Dot, elle est LE « comic relif » qui n’est grosse que parce que c’est « drôle » et dont tout le monde se moque sans que ça ne choque personne. Le narrateur lui-même faire référence à Dot en l’appelant « la gourmande » à plusieurs reprises. Elle est le seul personnage qui pense à la nourriture, qui dit qu’elle a faim. Évidemment elle est grosse donc elle ne pense qu’à la bouffe logique. A un autre moment Sophie évoque sans l’utiliser le terme « grosse » comme une insulte. Mais le climax de la grossophobie se trouve dans les derniers chapitres quand les élèves de l’école du mal deviennent gentils, donc beaux, donc mince pour Dot forcément. C’est écrit noir sur blanc qu’elle « affiche maintenant des courbes de rêve » Je trouve ça honteux de trouver ces idées véhiculées de manière aussi forte dans un livre pour enfants. Je suis heureuse de l’avoir lu adulte en ayant le recul nécessaire pour être enragé et pas rabaissé par ces propos. Par curiosité, j’ai lu la première page du 2eme tome et DES LA PREMIÈRE PAGE on a de la grossophobie. Faites attention à ce que vous écrivez, arrêtez de faire des perso gros qui n’ont que cette charactéristique, arrêtez d’écrire des perso gros qui ne sont pas désirables, qui n’ont pas confiance en eux, qui se font rabaisser.
