As I am standing in line at my local Walgreens, someone asked me if I was a local. I said “Yes” with a huge smile! She is here for a conference so I asked her how she has liked it so far. l said “Please be honest”, so of course she brings up the human feces. I replied with “awe you must have been to the tenderloin”. She shakes her head yes. It’s truly a shame that the media is so focused on the low income areas of SF. Il progetto ha fino a oggi coinvolto quasi mezzo milione di persone in 48 Paesi in 10 anni, portando l’attenzione su temi sociali e culturali, dal razzismo all’istruzione, dalla salute mentale al cambiamento climatico, dai diritti dei rifugiati alla questione femminile fino al ruolo degli anziani nella società. L’opera di Milano è un mosaico di mille ritratti fotografici di anziani ospiti di 40 RSA italiane.
