We have three staff members with birthday's during the month of January. We wish Jeanell (3), Julie (17), and Micah (16) a happy birthday. We are blessed with their energy, leadership, and influence in their areas of ministry and support of the church and it's ministries. Jeanell blesses the church with music, as our organist and pianist. Julie is the director of the Ardmore Baptist Preschool which has been growing left and right. We are excited about the ministry the pre-school continues to be. Micah has been the assistant to the music ministry and always has a great energy and spirit about himself. Micah will soon be heading in a new venture as he will be working downtown at a local tea house. We look forward to visiting him down there. Please take a moment to wish each of these individuals a happy birthday! #ardmorebaptist #happybirthday #recognizepeople #rememberingisimportant #everyoneneedstobecelebrated #staffbirthday #ardmorebaptiststaffbirthday

Window and Mirror Theory: One of the great quality leaders that they embody the window and the mirror theory: They looked “out the window” at everyone around them to allocate successes, but they looked “in the mirror” at themselves when things went wrong. They shared credit and took blame. #humbleyourself #humbledandgrateful #recognizepeople #leadershipdevelopment

Not that long ago, someone hurt me pretty bad… long story short, everyone was recognized in a public forum except for me… gifts were given to everyone except for me… lots of people I know saw this and were very disappointed… when I called her out on it, she flat out lied to my face, never apologized for it, and didn’t rectify her mistake… I have since moved on from this person and I have vowed to never make anyone feel anything other than special… I have been on the other side of it and it doesn’t feel good. Whether you own a business, are a team leader with your company, a manager of a store, etc… lead with integrity… people can spot a phony a 1000 miles away. #leadwithintegrity #integrity #recognitionofothers #recognizepeople #recognition #kindnessandgrace #kindnessmatters #graceandgenerosity #fakepeople #achievements

We’re excited to see these new initiatives for our autism community locally. Grateful people are recognizing the need and are ready to help! Hopeful in working with the Madison House and many other groups. Adults with autism (or any other special needs) need more than just housing, they want more than just to exist. They want a quality existence…doing things they enjoy, having friends and experiences…that’s what Growth after Graduation focuses on. With everyone working together, imagine the good we can all do! #autisminutah #recognizepeople #growthaftergraduation #specialneeds #autismafter21

Monday motivation. Literally——- Recognize people for who they are and decide what they are to you in that moment — not what they “could” be later for you... or to you. What is it about them that gives you joy? What is it about them that is worthy of maintaining sustaining and nurturing the relationship or connection? Don’t let your connections be ones where when you look back —- you’re thinking — Dang, that shit was a waste of time — it was toxic — I was bored —- I hurt them or I let them hurt me.... We’ve all had them - the no point no reason temporary toxic connections— let’s decide to recognize and reflect and choose to do better now and next time... A decision that you prolong from making not only wastes time but in some cases you lose money and you ruin people in the process — Be brave - be courageous - decide and own your decisions- short term conflicts are worth the long term happiness you will ultimately have. #monday #motivation #mondaymotivation #truth #lifegoals #trusttheprocess #decide #choosehappy #recognizepeople #connections #relationships #people #journey #acceptance #bebrave #courageous

I wanted to do something a little different and recognize some of the great people in my life. I'll start with @cadencefloria who is a very talented artist in both vocals and keyboards. He also lends his talents to help run sound for us @legacychurchwa and is a really good friend to me, as well. Next, there's @sadiebrittwood who is very talented in a lot of ways, lending her talents to both the tech and video team, she's also one of my fellow camera people and the wife of my good friend, @austin.ty.wood . Finally, there's Justin @justindfarley , who has really been good to me and is always fun to talk to. He's one of the most respected people in my life I am glad are there on campus, he's a very gifted teacher who also teaches students. He got up and spoke this past Sunday, it was both very encouraging and entertaining. #legacychurchwa #legacychurch #wearelegacychurch #libertylakewa #churchphotographer #lowlightphotography #recognizingheroes #recognizepeople #itsnotaboutme #unsungheroes

Look around. See the colors, watch animals, recognize the people around you. Be brave enough to look, do not look away. And look at you, realize not your weaknesses but your strengths. Strength your strengths. If you are not sure about your strengths, make a test to find them out. It’s proven that people who use their strengths effectively are happier and more productive. When I am asked what challenges did I face when trying to implement a #selfmanaged team, an organization with #purpose, teams with high levels of #collaboration and great #consciousness, I am always trying to think which of the challenges are the most important to be calling out... Sometimes I fail to answer though... From these reflexions I decided to start the posts #SacredCows and start a discussion on all the challenges we have when are trying to implement a real transformation and to truly have #peoplefocus, #societyconsciousness and #leadwithPurpose. The first of all #sacredcows I will call out is one that started a series of discussion in my last assignment, but also one that is crucial. During the last brain storming with #rolemodels of #futureofwork, as Timm, Otti, Antoniette, discussions were about how to change the performance management system. Then we changed the question from HOW to change the system to DO WE REALLY NEED PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS? My takeaway is clear - as long as we have performance management systems and we measure people, we will never unleash their #exponentialpotential. We #measureBusinessResults, not people - we #recognizepeople and the value they add to each other, to the company, to the customers. What is your opinion????

Ok so this one is completely personified. It is actually a conversation between the heart and the brain where initially the heart speaks and then the brain. It’s about how sometimes we fall for people we know are not yet showing their true colours but deep down we know that eventually they will. A bit complex. Decide whether to use the ❤️ or the 🧠. Help us deliver a smile in our new House of Shine by nominating someone who shines. In our museum, we have a Box of Shine exhibit - it is our way of recognizing ordinary people for their out-of-the-ordinary efforts. Anyone who shines can be nominated for this award — whether it’s a teacher who makes a difference, a barista who makes beautiful latté art, or a mail carrier who makes you smile. Will you help us reward someone who makes the world brighter? 1️⃣Email us at [email protected] with your nominee. In 100 words or less, describe why this person shines. 2️⃣Be sure to send us their complete mailing address so that if recognized by our visitors as one of the most deserving, we may send them a Box of Shine on behalf of our entire community - thanking them for shining in their corner of the world.☀️ . . . . . #houseofshine #spreadshine #boxofshine #nominatesomeonewhoshines #nominate #someonewhomakesadifference #recognizepeople #brightenyourday #brightensomeonesday #actofkindness #kindness #kindnessiscontagious #nonprofit #nonprofitsofinstagram #nonprofitorganization #grandopeningsoon #museumofselfdiscovery #grapevinetx #grapevinetexas
