Moon blood feels 🩸 This bleed has been intense starting early and aligning in this time of collective transition. It amazes me how the cycle tends to align with certain events, with new or full moons and personal transitions and themes. ~ Painting with my moon blood has become a powerful connection to my bleed, expressing the inner visions and codes I receive during this time. ~ In deep devotion, I am grateful to reconnect with my cyclical nature, the wisdom of my inner temple and the truth that lies here, the whispers of my womb, the death & rebirth that happens here every month, spiraling deeper and deeper, as a portal between heaven and earth, the connection through the red thread to all the women that came before, the magic that lies here, the gift of life that WE ALL received through the WOMB. 🌹
I loved sharing with a group of pregnant mommas in nature last week, connecting with their bodies and babies through movement and breath. It was so sweet to see a spark of joy in some of the mommas faces at the end as we visualized and discussed how they are literally and naturally bringing Spirit to Earth even more strongly than usual at this time. It feels so important, inspiring, and I believe helpful to remember the sacredness of this journey especially in a culture where pregnancy and birth are usually quite medicalised. It seems paradoxical, doesn’t it? But it’s true... I am most wild when I am contained by my own Sovereign Power. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Sovereignty means we know the power of our CONSENT to determine with whom & to what extent we want to participate in co-creation (reciprocity with life). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ CONSENT is a question of BOUNDARIES ... aka self-containment. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ When all of life is co-creating an ongoing symphony of harmonic & dis-harmonic resonances... how do you know when you’re self-contained in sovereignty? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ A sovereign womb is a womb that can sing the full spectrum pleasure-pain song of co-creation (for co-creation is always some combination of tragedy & beauty as we dance with self & other). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ There are notes of tension, resolution, harmony & discord ~ all pulsing into one meta-frequency that the Earth is birthing uniquely through each & every one of us. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Can you tell what song-line your womb is tuned into? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It doesn’t matter if it is tense with discord or resounding harmoniously. Is it authentic? Is it coming from YOU? Or is it a karmic or traumatic overly that distorts your truest expression? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ A sovereign womb knows how to DIS-COVER the difference. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ She knows when to stay just long enough in discord to call back her power & find resolution. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ If discord is sickness, resolution is health. As sick as we become, we have the potential to be equally as well. So sickness becomes strength. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ As well as we are, we create capacity to hold sickness of equal proportion without faltering. At its essence, the vessel is a symbol for the human body – specifically the female body, which carries and nurtures the child within. Mimicking a pregnant woman, the vessel bulges out at the center into a curvilinear shape. In pagan societies, the cauldron was a symbol for the womb of the Great Goddess and offered the power of rebirth. The famous Chalice, some scholars believe, was actually Mary Magdalene, the sacred vessel that held the Christ child. According to Barbara G. Walker in her book, The Crone: Woman of Age, Wisdom, and Power, the vessel was the source of life, wisdom and inspiration in pagan religions.
