کم عمری کی شادی پر سخت سزاؤں کا بل چائلڈ پروٹیکشن ویلفیئر بیورو نے پنجاب میں کم عمری کی شادی پر سخت سزاؤں کا بل تجویز کیا ہے۔ بل میں لڑکیوں کی شادی کی عمر 18 سال تک بڑھانا تجویز کیا گیا ہے۔ پاکستان ڈیمو گرافک ہیلتھ سروے 2017- 2018 کے مطابق پنجاب میں 20 سے 24 سال کی 18 فی صد لڑکیوں کی شادی 18 سال سے قبل کی گئی۔ ان میں سے دو فی صد کی شادی تو 15 سال سے بھی پہلے کر دی گئی۔ بل کی محرک صوبائی اسمبلی کی رکن اور ویلفیئر بیورو کی چیئر پرسن سارہ احمد ہیں۔ بل میں کم عمر بچیوں سے شادی کرنے والے بالغ مردوں، شادی رجسٹر کرنے والوں اور بچوں کے والدین یا سرپرستوں کے لیے سخت سزائیں تجویز کی گئی ہیں۔ ایسے دولہا کو دو سال قید بامشقت اور/ یا 20,00,000 روپے جرمانے کا سامنا کرنا پڑ سکتا ہے۔ بل میں کہا گیا ہے کہ بچی کا قومی شناختی کارڈ پیش کرنے پر شادی اور اس کی رجسٹریشن کی جا سکتی ہے۔ اگر بچی کی عمر پر تنازعہ ہو تو اس کا فیصلہ عدالت کرے گی۔ ایسے میں وہ برتھ سرٹیفکیٹ، تعلیمی سرٹیفکیٹ یا کسی اور دستاویز کی بنیاد پر عمر کا تعین کرے گی۔ ایسی کسی دستاویز کی عدم موجودگی میں عمر کا تعین میڈیکل رپورٹ پر کیا جا سکتا ہے۔ مجوزہ قانون کم عمر بچوں کی شادی پر پابندی کا بل مجریہ 2024-25 کے عنوان سے پیش کیا گیا ہے۔ موجودہ ایکٹ 1929 کے قانون کا نیا ورژن ہے۔ بلوغت سے قبل بچیوں کا جسم شادی اور زچگی کی ذمہ داریوں کے لیے تیار نہیں ہوتا۔ یوں اس عمر میں شادیاں لڑکیوں اور ان کے رحم میں پرورش پانے والے بچے کی صحت پر برا اثر ڈالتی ہیں۔ ایسے میں کم عمری کی شادی پر سخت سزاؤں کا بل خوش آئند ہے۔ #earlymarraige #earlymarriages #childmarrige #childmarriageact #womenhealth #gynecology #healthupdates #healthnews #wherehealthcomesfirst #shifanewsinternational #shifanews
