Started the process of fabricating the drivers side rear fender to replace the Swiss cheese. Got it pretty close utilizing the @sosametalworks #shapeomatic and thumb nail dies and fine tuned with the kick shrinker. Had some tearing I had to weld up, but at the end of the day it was a fun panel to make! **Please Read!!!** Shape O Matic Pullmax Demo I wanted to get a quick demo out there for everyone that has been asking about the reciprocating (pullmax) function of the @sosametalworks machine. I gave myself an hour to make this video, and there is a lot I did poorly 😂 I used 3/16” steel plate for the dies because that’s what I had close by. Thicker material will yield cleaner results. I roughly cut out the dies, and didn’t take time to fit them together nicely. I did not do any test passes on scrap. I should have gone lighter on the first pass. I didn’t not use a fence on the panel…etc. BUT you can see the machine does work, and stamped out a deep bead. I will make a good, long-format video for everyone as soon as I’ve got the time 👍

After giving it some thought Cristian of @sosametalworks decided it was best to replace the nose of #SUCIA48 The plan is too mold just the nose area and give it a mild peak. A '47 Fleetline hood ornament will go in place of the original '48 one and the strip over the top will eventually get chromed. Cristian was hoping to work with what was there but the nose of the hood was a little too banged up. So after measuring it out..he cut out a couple of pieces using the @fastcutcnc machine which made things a hell of a lot easier. Then he started to shape the metal using his own #Shapeomatic power hammer along with a lil man power tambien ey.. 😂. I saw @otterscustomfab post about receiving his Sosa hammer. I decided it was about time to start putting mine together. It’s not done yet but close. I ran into a few speed bumps that slowed me down. I didn’t like how some of the bearings in the pillow blocks for the crank were crooked. So I had to disassemble it and straighten them out with a punch. It won’t be long before my #neighborhater is making some noise 🔨🔨😂🇺🇸 #shapeomatic
