Er studierte Jazztrompete bei Stephan Zimmermann an der Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Mannheim und absolvierte ein künstlerisches Aufbaustudium bei Claus Stötter an der Staatlichen Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Stuttgart. Das Saarland kennt er bestens, denn zwischen 2010 und 2014 war Siffling Dozent für Jazztrompete an der HfM Saar. Immer wieder überschreitet der Künstler musikalische Grenzen, arbeitete mit der Pop-Band „Söhne Mannheims“ zusammen, komponierte jazzige Ballettmusik und wagte Ausflüge in die elektronische Musik. Er ist außerdem als Produzent tätig und betreibt den Jazz-Club ‚Ella & Louis’ in Mannheim. Seit 2017 ist er künstlerischer Leiter des Lions Jazz Festival in Mannheim und seit dem vergangenen Jahr Veranstalter des Mannheim Jazz Festivals. Mit seinem neuen Projekt „Thomas Siffling sings Gentlemen‘s Choice” beweist er, dass er nicht nur ein großer Instrumentalist ist, sondern auch ein ausgezeichneter Sänger. Seine warme Stimme mischt sich mit groovigen Klängen und dem weichen Sound seines Flügelhorns. On Saturday night I attended the opening reception for the exhibition “High Five!” at Blue Moon Gallery in Grayslake, Illinois. I had the opportunity to showcase my artwork with a roster of talented Southeastern Wisconsin and Northeastern Illinois based artists who worked in a variety of media. The opening reception was well attended. I was able to meet and chat with fellow artists, enjoy delicious refreshments and talk with gallery patrons about my artwork. It was an awesome evening. Well now, not a bad first day for the Morongo Valley Art Expo! 😃👍🏻 Made a few sales, met some new friends and had time to chat with old friends and frequent visitors and neighbors. And the weather got nicer as the day went on. Started out a little windy and cool, but warmed up to a very comfortable temperature and the wind died down too. Our 71st Annual Sponsor Show is available for viewing in our beautiful galleries! This remarkable, original, eminently successful show features paintings donated to the Institute by Member Artists. The Sponsors are the first of a limited number of people who contribute $275. Premium Sponsorships are also available for $400, which entitles the participant to three chances, but only one painting. On the last nite of the show, as their names are drawn, the Sponsors select their favorite painting to take home. We encourage prospective Sponsors to visit our galleries in order to create a Wish List in descending order, well in advance of our Gala Drawing. “High Five!”is an invitational group exhibition featuring past Blue Moon Gallery artists. This is such a special shirt for me, I received it a couple of days before my son had a procedure done on his heart. Blue is his favorite color as well as mine, not just any blue, International Klein Blue. It was my paternal grandmother’s favorite color too.
