Join us from May 19th to 22nd, 2024, at the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization in Cairo, as we celebrate women's empowerment through art. Simona Gloriani was born in Rome in 1970. After completing her artistic high school education, she pursued further studies in free art classes at the Rome University of Fine Arts (RUFA) and later under the guidance of the Master of art Moreno Bondi. Gloriani’s works showcase a refined pictorial theme that reveals a construction and deconstruction of images, navigating between matter and transparency, rationality and sentimental drive. She has participated in numerous solo and group art exhibitions, in Italy (like ‘Mater Mediterranea’ at Mosque of Rome - ‘Art as a Universal Language’ at Egyptian Culture Institute), and abroad (‘DANTE IN ALTRE ARTI’ at Captaloona art, Madrid). In 2017 Gloriani established her own atelier in Rome, a Gallery and a laboratory where she imparts painting techniques. She has been recognized among the nominated artists in the catalogue for the Biennale Artemisia Reward 2010 and 2012. Additionally, she secured victory in the Gutenberg Edizioni publishing house Art Calendar Competition in 2020. It's an honour to have Simona Gloriani as part of this inspiring event. Para mi es básico disfrutar cuando pinto y saber aislar el hecho de pintar del hecho de pintar para vender, puesto que muchas veces está ese condicionante detrás. Muchas veces por no decir siempre. Los que me conocéis sabéis que los estados de ánimo implican cambios en la pintura o en lo que estoy pintando y recurrir a ciertos elementos de la nostalgia es una especie de terapia para tener la mente en blanco y centrarme en lo que hago, al igual que alternar estilos o emplear más tiempo en trabajar con las texturas. Dentro de todo esto, pinto lo que me apetece pintar, pero al igual que creo hace un buen DJ, seguro que @rapariga_dj estará de acuerdo, uno tiene que leer la pista y ver con lo que disfruta más la gente, no erigirse en el amo y señor y caer en el autoentronamiento. Así que en la pintura es lo mismo, pintar lo que le gusta a uno pero sabiendo lo que le gusta a la gente de lo que haces. I found some more pillows :-)! I’m making a figure sculpture every day leading up to my book presentation / open studio on the 25th of May. Whether I’ll have a full day to do it or just two hours, I’ll make one. Some will be more sketchy then others but they will always be a figure. I’ll show all of the sculptures at the open studio event in Almere, the Netherlands from 11am – 5pm. Half I’ll sell through the waiting list and half on the event itself. We're thrilled to announce that Letizia Rigucci will be presenting her captivating artwork at Empower Her Art Forum! Join us from May 19th to 22nd, 2024, at the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization in Cairo, as we celebrate women's empowerment through art. Letizia Rigucci is an Italian artist who has been teaching graphic design at Enrico Fermi High School in Tivoli since 2021, after working as a lecturer at the Academy of Fine Arts from 2016 to 2021. Her artwork is a combination of en-graving and printmaking techniques on handmade paper with resin on the top, which creates a unique form of expres-sion. She has held several personal exhibitions, including "Il Mondo a Venire" at the Alveare in Milan, "Oltre un corpo di Donna" in Tivoli, and "Uno sguardo oltre il velo” at the Chiostro del Bramante in Rome in the café space. Rigucci Letizia has also participated in various exhibitions and events such as the Bookcity selection and the Acqui Terme biennial of Printmaking, either way, she was selected numerous times for the Fibrenus printmaking prize of Isola Liri. In 2019, she exhibited her work at "Il segno contemporaneo" in Beijing, China, and was selected at the Venice Biennale background, among the top 10 young artists of Mestre. In 2022, she participated in the World Art Forum (Waf) at the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization in Cairo. Between December and January 2023, Rigucci Letizia participated in the contemporary Italian collective Domenico Fratianni Printmaking exhibition in Campobasso, showcasing her etching artworks. Barbara Berardicurti born in Abruzzo, at 5 years old she moved to Rome where she lives and works. She realized her first oil painting when she was only 14 years old, and her love for art began. After her studies she attended for several years the painting studio of Master Giovanni Crisostomo. Her first exhibitions were in Tuscany and Denmark. In the following years she attended many temporary exhibitions, personal and collective especially in Rome, but also around Italy and Europe. In 1987 she attended the European Institute of Design where she graduated as an illustrator. Since 1992 she has been an ordinary member of the Association 100 Pittori di Via Margutta. In 1994, together with other contemporary artists, she founded the "Alternative 94 work in progress" association. In 2010 managed for 4 years, together with 4 contemporary artists, a gallery in the historic centre of Rome, in via Giulia 194/a. With them she founded "Stradarte", an artistic and cultural association with which he still organizes exhibitions in the historic centre of Rome. In recent years she has participated in numerous fairs (Padua, Genoa, Forlì, Zagreb etc.) and her paintings were in Moscow, London, Boston. Over the years, she won numerous prizes organized in various part of Italy In May 2018 she inaugurated the studio in via della Reginella 11 where she currently works and exhibits permanently. She rejects any possible label for her artistic production because any of them would obscure the real meaning of her artworks and limit her freedom of expression. Her works were displayed in personal exhibitions and she participated in numerous collective exhibitions, biennials and art prizes, in particular to the "Dionysian Apollo" award, obtaining important awards and prizes In her painting she uses oil, material and ductile, arriving at a description that is sometimes figurative or informal inspired by a dreamlike and visionary connotation. In sculpture she explores hypothetical forms drawing them from various materials, from marble to alabaster to the arduous processing of obsidian and the creation of works in terracotta and ceramic. Maria Angelica Molinari was born in Santiago, Chile, her artistic training took place in Italy. She is a teacher of Graphic Art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, she has dedicated herself to this art since 1988, tackling all the canonical techniques (reliefographic and incavographic), direct or indirect. Her artistic activity, aimed at the production of visual works executed with the techniques of intaglio and xylographic engraving, expands within the scope of experimental research. The expressive world depicted in her images transforms based on the themes she explores in the work, often an inner world linked to her origins prevails, the faces, the figures immersed in surreal landscapes determine a purely dreamlike vision. The artist has exhibited in several personal and collective exhibitions in various places both in Italy and abroad, her work is preserved in private collections, cultural associations and museums.
