🕊️ Born in Maitland, NSW in 1878 to Charles and Elizabeth Tucker. Eva was one of 7 children; she had 2 brothers and 4 sisters. Her parental grandfather was born in Devon in 1823, and he married Annie Lang in 1854 in West Maitland, NSW. Eva’s mother, Elizabeth, on the other hand, was born in Dundee, Scotland in 1854. Eva never had any children of her own. Tragically, she passed away before having the chance to meet any of her 23 nieces and nephews. The Cessna family stone at I.O.O.F.(Odd Fellows) Cemetery in Rochester, Indiana. Lemuel Cessna(1867-1912) and his wife, Hattie(1871-1946), rest here in the family plot, as does one of their children. The grave markers for Mr. and Mrs. Cessna only say ‘Father’ and ‘Mother.’ • Lemuel Cessna was born in Vermilion County, Illinois on November 6, 1867, and his future wife, Hattie Myers, was born there as well on February 28, 1871. They married in the place of their birth on February 25, 1891 and went on to have eight children together with every child living to adulthood. • Census records across the Cessna’s lives tell us that Lemuel spent many years working in farming, but his obituary tells us more. Mr. Cessna was a stockholder in a local canning factory in Rochester, IN, and he also served as a road supervisor for four years once in Rochester, which the family moved to around 1902. • Mr. Cessna was far too young when he died in my opinion. He was just 44 years old when he passed away from mortal life on June 1, 1912. Mrs. Hattie Cessna died February 13, 1946 at the age of 74. Five of their eight children rest in this same cemetery, but only one rests with their parents here in the family plot. • #ioofcemeteryrochester

George loved his corvette so much, he made his wife promise to bury him in it. On May 25, 1994, the ashes of 71-year-old George Swanson were buried in the driver's seat of his 1984 white Corvette in Irwin, Pennsylvania. Per Atlas Obscura: George, a local beer distributor and World War II veteran, was laid to rest in his beloved white muscle car. The urn with his ashes was placed in the driver’s seat, his favorite song—Engelbert Humperdinck’s “Release Me”—was cued up on the cassette player, and a crane lowered down the man and his machine for its final spin. To make burial possible for a car the size of an ’84 ‘Vette, George had bought up multiple adjoining plots at Brush Creek. And keeping the health and safety of his future neighbors in mind, he and Caroline made sure that all the fluids would be drained from the car before interment. George is buried along with his first wife, Geraldine (whose grandchildren gave her a lovely send-off too), and there is a space for Caroline when the time comes. Wilsons Downfall Cemetery // Traditional Owners: Liston lies at a crossing point of traditional lands including Ngarabal and Kambuwal to the west and Bundjalung to the east. The Bundjalung Nation extends from the northern side of the Clarence River to the Logan River in Queensland. Latitude: -28.683530 Longitude: 152.083500 This historic, non-operational, rural cemetery is located off Mount Lindesay Road near the town of Liston on the original Sydney to Brisbane road. The cemetery and area was named after George Willson (correct spelling) 1825-1869 (Find a Grave Memorial 204962015 Tenterfield Cemetery) who was an entrepreneur, generous citizen, and civic leader in the area and who owned a general store in Tenterfield. Early land maps have the spelling as ‘Wilson', but this has since been corrected. The Willson's Downfall name derives from an incident when George Willson was delivering regular supplies to the tin mining camps along the road. Much of the road was rough and, particularly after rain, difficult to navigate. On one such occasion George lost control and his wagon broke an axle, overturned, tossing his goods into the creek. George later experienced financial downfall, but the physical event was the source of the area's name. Approximately 77 people are interred in this cemetery, including 25 infants and children. Most are in unmarked graves and the area is largely bushland. Some interments were itinerant mining workers and had no close family ties with them. Only 8 headstones remain.
