We still have a few more posts from our Disney trip. It's been pretty busy trying to get back to normal life after a long vacation like that. We didn't do a lot of fun food items between Hollywood studios and Magic Kingdom. To be fair Hollywood Studios was rainy and cold, so we wanted to rush so we could get through rides and get back to the resort. Magic Kingdom we were busy trying to get to all the rides, so we didn't have as much time for food. Overall Disney World was very busy when we went, so the lines for food were fairly long, but we tried to fit in some yummy treats where we could. First picture is of the Mickey beignets from Port Orleans French Quarter resort. You can find them at Scat Cats Club and they serve them nice and hot with your choice of sauce. I got the strawberry and they are amazing. Magic Kingdom was one of warmest days during our trip and so we had to get some ice cream treats. Dole whips are a must at Disney and we got a couple of variations. I had to try the Tropical Serenade float at Magic Kingdom. Coconut soft serve with POG (passionfruit-orange-guava) juice served with a coconut cake pop. We also snagged a regular Dole whip and a raspberry pineapple swirl Dole whip. All we're refreshing and amazing as always. We also had to snag the classic Mickey ice cream bar as well. In Hollywood Studios on our way leaving the park, I had to grab a carrot cake cookie from Trolley Car Cafe. If you love carrot cake and whoopie pies, this treat is for you. The carrot cake part of the cookie was soft and delightful. Since Hollywood Studios was cold and rainy I had to eat it with a cup of hot chocolate which hit the spot just right. We enjoyed this Cosmic Orb (raspberry cream puff) treat from ‘Teran Treats’ by the Guardians of the Galaxy Mission: Breakout. It was right in the middle of a hot day, and this cold raspberry flavored cheesecake cream hit the spot in all the right places. . . We thought the mobile ordering of food and drinks was a very convenient and efficient feature of the Disney app. Since they stopped offering the fast pass, we were already so exhausted from waiting in line. By far the kids fav thing in Galaxy’s Edge was the Droid Depot. After Brayden built his droid he happily said as we walked out, “okay, we can go now”. I about died. They were also hesitant to go on Smugglers Run because they said it was like Guardians inside so they thought we were tricking them. They loved it and wanted to go on again. When we got in line we waited until the start of our fourth hour based on @magical_kinda_mama suggestion. The wait was only 20 min but when we got off the new group started to come in so the wait went up to 40 min. My suggestion is to go at the start of your 3rd hour. That hour was the most calm in the land. The wait was 35 min then dropped to 20 that way if you want to go on immediately after you have less of a wait. I followed her suggestions and for the most part it worked out well. The key is being able to split up. We used my mom to stand in line so we could get other things started. ••• I loved the quietness the park had in between groups. There’s little areas like the one pictured where kids can run and play with their droid. Ha ha. Overall in love with Galaxy’s Edge and can’t wait to revisit on 6/19!
