Pierwszy raz stworzenie to widziano podczas kilkugodzinnej walki, toczonej z orkami u wybrzeży Margate w Republice Południowej Afryki. Po pojedynku zwierzę zostało wyrzucone na brzeg, jednak nie zostało uwiecznione na zdjęciu. Przetrwało jedynie w opisach słonych jako ogromne, kilkunastometrowe zwierzę z około 1,5 metrową trąbą i masywnym ogonem. Do tego całego ciało miało pokryte gęstym, 30 centymetrowym futrem. Po dziesięciu dniach zwierzę zniknęło. Przypuszcza się, iż Trunko był tak naprawdę wielorybem lub rekinem wielorybim, który znajdował się w tak zaawansowanym stadium rozkładu, że jego ciało przypominało pokryte futrem. 🌊💦🐋💧🌀🐋🌀💧🐋💦🌊 The creature was first seen during several hours of fighting with orcs off the coast of Margate in South Africa. After the duel, the animal was washed ashore, but was not photographed. It survived only in the descriptions of the salty ones as a huge, several-meter-long animal with a 1.5-meter long trunk and a massive tail. In addition, the whole body was covered with thick, 30 cm long fur. After ten days, the animal was gone. While there is some disagreement on the exact date of the first sighting of Trunko, some sources claim it is in November and a persistent error puts the year at 1924 instead of 1922, what we do know is that it remains unidentified. We can also thank Dr Karl P.N. Shuker for giving it the nickname Trunko in his 1996 book “The Unexplained”. DECEMBER 27 #NHL 1979- The National #Hockey League was founded in 1917 and that season the consecutive-games-with-goals record was originally set at 14 by Joe Malone. Malone’s record was broken in 1921-22 when the #OttawaSenators Punch Broadbent (amazing name) scored a goal in 16 straight games. The first double-digit consecutive goal-scoring streak in the NHL’s modern-era (begun in 1967 when the league expanded from the #OriginalSix to 12 teams) was by the Chicago Blackhawks’ Bobby Hull when he potted a goal in 10 straight in 1969. The modern-day record would hold until the 1979-80 season when the LA Kings Charlie Simmer went on a tear. The streak started on 24 Nov when he potted his 18th goal of the season against the Islanders in a 4-4 tie. Simmer would break Hull’s record on 19 Dec when he potted 2 in a tie against the #MapleLeafs. Simmer would score 3 times in the next 2 games and OTD would score 2 more in a 3-0 win over the Quebec #Nordiques. The streak would end 29 Dec when he was shut out during a Kings victory over Minnesota. Simmer would finish the season with a career-best 56 goals. His record still stands (as of this writing) with only two players (Mario #Lemieux & Dave Lumley) getting to 12 straight with a goal. #Trunko 1924- #OTD, the Daily Mail in London, England published an article with the headline: “Fish Like a Polar Bear”. The article outlined the 25 Oct 1924 sighting of a 47ft (14m) long, whale-like creature with snowy-white “fur” and a 5ft (1.5m) trunk off of Margate, #SouthAfrica. The creature battled two killer whales for 3h but would lose the fight. Its carcass would wash up on Margate Beach where photos were taken of it but no biologists studied the remains. The trunk was allegedly attached directly to the possible #cetacean’s torso and a witness described the body as looking like a “giant polar bear”. Modern-day scientists, state the carcass was a classic #globster (a rotting mass of whale tissue/bubber) and the eye-witness report was a simple fabrication. Although personally, I believe there are many #cryptids yet to be found in the world’s oceans.
DID YOU KNOW? It is reported that a few beach goers witnessed two whales fighting and eventually killing a huge creature resembling a huge polar bear. The ‘monster’ later washed up on the beach and baffled everyone with its strange appearance. It was told to be 47 feet (14.3m) long, 10 feet (3m) wide, 5 feet (1.5m) high, with a 5 foot trunk, a 10 foot (3m) tail. The creature was said to be completely covered with snow white hair. It was thought to be a new species and received a lot of interest from all over the world. Although the carcass was laying on the beach for a full two weeks before it was washed away by the next spring tide, not a single photograph was taken or sketch made of it. Did it really happen or was it an attempt to draw attention to promote sales? While there is some disagreement on the exact date of the first sighting of Trunko, some sources claim it is in November and a persistent error puts the year as 1924 instead of 1923 (we made the same error) what we do know is that it remains unidentified. The Glacier Island Carcass. On November 26, 1930 a frozen in ice carcass was found floating among icebergs in Eagle Bay in Glacier Island, Alaska. The story made its way worldwide. The creature was said to be "lizard-like". The total length of the carcass was 24 feet long. The creature was said to resemble an aquatic creature. It even had an elephant-like trunk as an appendage on the front of its head. It was said to have tusks. The creature also had hair on its torso portion of its body. The tail was said to be "dinosaur-like". Though many thought that it was an undiscovered aquatic species from prehistoric times. Others claimed that it could have been a decomposed Woolly Mammoth, or Mastodon that became frozen in ice. No official conclusion was ever made, because not long after its discovery the carcass was washed back out to sea by the tide. Likely over time the piece of glacier it was frozen in melted sending the remains to the bottom of the ocean. This was an huge upset to Zoologist. Cryptozoologist over time have compared it to Trunko a carcass that was found in Margate, South Africa, and a Sea Swine a creature from Nautical Mythology. Since the carcass was lost it will forever remain a mystery.
