It's not how you start the day, it's how you finish it!! I got a flat tire this morning on my handcycle but got it fixed. Then locked my keys in my car right after that at the lake and had to call AAA and wait for them. I also forgot sunscreen so I got a good sunburn on my ride too. After all of that I was fueled up. I ended up doing one of the best and longest rides I've ever done!! I used all of those things to fuel me and took it all out on my ride and ended up finishing 40 long hot miles today!!! Use those annoying little things that happen as extra fuel to push you forward and challenge you!! I love when things like this happen and try to set me back or distract me! This is Bruce! He is a 13 year old cockapoo, and he is a very good boy. His owner contacted me and said that he was in severe pain and that he could barely walk. He was crying, whining, and shaking, and wasn’t able to move from one spot. He also hadn’t had a bowel movement in days. After his first visit, he was able to evacuate his bowels. After his second visit, his owner reported that Bruce is no longer showing any signs of pain, he is eager to go on walks, and went to the park for 45 minutes. Never give up on your dog! Even if he is a senior. Their bodies are amazing at healing. Sometimes all it takes is a few gentle chiropractic adjustments to get their central nervous system running again properly so that they can heal. Way to go, Bruce! Some flowers won't work that come from bulbs, such as lilies. Sadly, the roses didn't get got to in a timely fashion. Thursday was a super fun day! I made my maiden voyage to an awesome St. Louis stained glass business. The owner was so kind and took a chunk of time out of his day to answer my myriad questions. Almost exactly a year ago, having just arrived in Calgary, I accosted a random guy on a tennis court to basically ask him to be my friend and play tennis with me 🤣 He was very polite but looked at me like I was crazy, and I assumed that as soon as I walked away he'd throw my phone number in the bin and warn everyone else about the deranged British person wandering the 'hood! Instead, he texted me the very next day, and we've played tennis together every week since then. And today I FINALLY got to meet his lovely dog, Yogi! You’ll never know if you don’t try… “Being a yoga teacher is so fun, you get to chill all day and visit pretty places!” I want to show you another side of being a yoga teacher, especially a new yoga teacher. If you have a dream, any dream, keep on reading. Any time I see a beautiful place I think: oh, wouldn’t it be cool to share a practice here?! Then I daydream, google stuff and let it simmer. Do you let things simmer like that? Leave it for “one day”. You know, that dream can only come true if you go out there and actually try. But here is the thing about trying: it’s awesome, it should be celebrated, but sometimes, inevitably, it will lead to nothing. The dream bubble broken. It doesn’t work. I think that’s why we let dreams simmer sometimes. I gathered the courage to ask one of my favourite places if I could teach there and the answer was: “we don’t do such yoga-things here”. It broke my heart. And this wasn’t the first time and won’t be the last when someone tells me that they don’t do “yoga-things”. Each time, my heart will break, heal and I will celebrate trying. So don’t give up your dreams my awesome friend. Go and try. No matter the outcome, celebrate. This was my first time ever trying any kind of pizza at Alien Pizza Planet! I loved the chicken enchilada pasta so much I felt like I absolutely had to try the enchilada pizza. Here’s what puzzles me, the cast member helping me with my order was good enough to grab me a slice from the pizza that just came out of the oven rather than the one that had been sitting there on a plate for a while (that meant the world to me, you have no idea), and yet the pizza was still not that hot 🫤 This really was just OK. Not nearly as tasty as the enchilada pasta and the fact that it was not piping hot made it not so enjoyable. 🔮 Let me reintroduce myself 🔮 My name is Jackie and I have been on this crazy earth for 33 years, I created my Miss Mystic Tarot page when I fell in love with my own personal journey of tarot and couldn’t wait to start sharing it with you all, at first this was something I was nervous about because even though I loved Tarot I had self doubt within me that people wouldn’t take me seriously… I felt this way because growing up and leading into my adult life I had never been a spiritual person, I had always masked my emotions and feelings with an addiction from a very young age (smoking, drink and drugs) which lead to me to years and years of a very poor mental health state, I was taking antidepressants for a very long time, I was numb, I was sad, I was lonely and I was trapped in my own mind. I am a mum of 3 beautiful children who honestly are the only reason why am still on this earth and they have kept me going each and everyday since they were born. I have a very loving mum and dad who are my world and my sisters and brother are to, I am blessed to have them 💜 I met my partner in 2018, he was practicing with so many healing techniques that I didn’t even no existed, he began to teach me how to use my mind in a different way and showed me that only I can control the outcome of my life, I am forever grateful for him. Then in 2019 I found my tarot cards, I worked with the cards on myself for about a year and a half, I read so many books and watched videos and saved information from anywhere I could get it and before I knew it all the questions and feelings I had within me could be answered by working with my cards, that’s when I knew I wanted to be able to share this with others and help them in a way that they helped me.
