It’s been a long time since I’ve posted an update, so I thought I’d share my most exciting news yet; the arrival of our baby boy. He was born two weeks ago as of tomorrow. Both of us are doing absolutely wonderful. When I found out I was pregnant, I was concerned about how my body would react due to the severity of my Chiari pain and symptoms. As soon as I got my positive pregnancy test, it was if a switch flipped in my body. The entire pregnancy, I never had a Chiari headache and all my symptoms all but dissipated. My doctors had no explanation, but I am so grateful. I was also worried about labor and delivery, having heard mixed stories about other Chiari patients having issues. I’m thrilled to say I was able to labor on my own, have a natural birth and no complications whatsoever. Everything has gone so smoothly and everything I have worried about has been a non-issue. I’ve wanted to be a mother for as long as I can remember and almost 10 years ago, when I was diagnosed with infertility and told I’d likely never conceive, it was a crushing moment for me. This baby boy was a complete surprise; motherhood has been better and sweeter than I could have dreamed. We are so blessed and thankful. Para registrar os primeiros dias do seu bebê, é recomendado que o ensaio seja feito entre 7 e 15 dias de vida. Este período pode se estender até um pouquinho mais, porém após 20 dias os bebês já começam a perder as características de recém nascido. Muitos pais preferem esperar um pouco mais para fazer a sessão, mas quanto mais cedo, melhor. Nos primeiros dias os bebês tendem a dormir melhor, fazendo com que a sessão seja mais breve e tranquila. Após os 15 dias de vida, muitos bebês já apresentam cólicas e além disso com o passar do tempo os bebês desenvolvem mais força nos braços e perninhas, o que dificulta o posicionamento que tanto queremos no newborn. O recomendado é que você faça a escolha do profissional antes do parto. Assim podem ajustar todos os detalhes e deixar a data marcada de acordo com a previsão do nascimento do seu bebê.
