Yummy slice of homemade Yogurt Cake alongside Gossip Girl, love it! xoxo For those of you who don’t know what Yogurt Cake is, it’s a super simple cake made with, you guessed it, a yogurt! Mine is made with a Muller Toffee yogurt and milk chocolate chips. No scales required! One pot of yogurt (any flavour, any size) Wash it out and add; 3 pots of SR flour 2 pots of sugar 1 pot of vegetable/ sunflower oil 2 eggs If you want to add any chocolate chips or dried fruit you can. A regular sized yogurt will fit in a loaf tin, a muller yogurt, needs a bigger tin or split it between two loaf tins. Cook on 170 cook until a skewer is clean. My large one took 1hr 15m but smaller loaves may be done in 30-45 mins! Meet Lisa. She's one of our Journey case studies, and today is a big day for her and us! That's because we NEVER thought she'd be confident enough to let us share her beautiful face on here - and not only that, she's filmed an interview with Nathan to boot! 🎉🎉🎉 She has been coming to see us for a few years now, so The Journey was an obvious next step for her. She's found the ageing process very difficult, and it has affected her mental health, making her feel extremely low. Before this process, she shared with us that when she went out, she'd avoid making eye contact because she didn't want anyone to look at her. Now, she says she doesn't even think about it! She has gone from spending an hour every morning trying to "put on a mask" to actively choosing brighter clothing, not caring who sees her and holding her head that bit higher. This is something all of us at RSC have noticed - each time she's come to see us, we've visibly seen her confidence grow. Honestly, it's been like watching a beautiful flower bloom and we couldn't be more proud 🌸 We'd like to just take a moment to give our absolute love and gratitude to our case study clients. Today is International Day of the Midwife: anyone who has experienced pregnancy after loss will know the impact of good care (and of bad care). When I found out I was pregnant again after 2 consecutive losses I noted down my history on my midwife referral form at my GP surgery. Within a few days my community midwife Natalie @sherwood_forest_hospitals called to introduce herself and check how I was doing. I knew straight away she understood how I must be feeling. She offered to see me sooner than they would normally which I really appreciated. I cried at nearly every midwife appointment but she never made me feel like I was being silly and she always reassured me. At around 10 weeks pregnant I felt like my pregnancy symptoms had vanished and I called Natalie who went the extra mile to get me another reassurance scan in the EPU. My 12 week scan was coming up on my birthday and that added to my anxiety as I had visions of going on my birthday and finding out there was no heartbeat. Every appointment she checked on my mental health and how I was feeling. It felt like I had someone who was really on my side, understood me and supported me all the way through my pregnancy. In hospital I was lucky to have several brilliant midwives look after me. Natalie also popped in to see me whilst I was being induced. I felt that me and my baby were in safe hands at all times. From the student midwife to the experienced midwives to the newly qualified midwife who was with me in my final hours of labour and my emergency c-section - all absolutely outstanding and supportive professionals.
