Disney's culinary team outdoes themselves every year with the incredible Gingerbread displays seen at the deluxe resorts. The details are truly mind-blowing. The structures have a frame but every item outside the frame is edible. There is A LOT of sugar used! What's more amazing is that the some of the designs aren't just treats for the eyes but they are functional. The most family the Gingerbread House at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa is a life-sized storefront where you can buy holiday treats and the Carousel at Disney's Beach Club Resort slowly turns round all day long. This year, a new design, a Lighthouse at Disney's Yacht Club Resort arrived... and new to us was the Boardwalk Bakery a mini replica of the one located just outside and The Castle commemorating the Disney 100 celebration at Disney's Contemporary Resort. Hidden inside these designs you may find some sugary Mickey shapes. It's sometimes a challenge to find them all. Disney's Wilderness Lodge has had a cozy cabin in the past and Animal Kingdom Lodge an adorable giraffe. We've yet to visit the giraffe. It’s old time charm with a hint of modern days. 💫The actual Boardwalk! Nothing beats coming back from a long day in the park and sitting on the benches on the Boardwalk and people watching. Lol well that a Marg from Joe’s, a funnel cake, maybe some ice cream 🍨, and watching the jugglers and mimes. There is just so much to do at the Boardwalk!! 💫Restaurants! They have some delicious meal options right at your fingertips and amazing nightlife for those older children and parents! Just a great place to unwind and have a great time. Where else besides @waltdisneyworld can you walk into a bakery and be able to choose between 4 different flavors of Allergy Friendly Muffins? The Boardwalk Bakery at @disneysboardwalkresort has delicious Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free, Vegan muffins. Choice of Chocolate Chip, Double Chocolate, Blueberry, and Vanilla! They aren’t shown anywhere on the menu. Thank you to @disneyallergieswithashley for posting about these! They made early morning trips to Epcot from the Yacht Club even more fun! They are frozen so they heat them up. I loved walking along the boardwalk when we stayed in the Swan, and the Boardwalk Bakery was such a good, quick choice for breakfast. Recent news coming out of the Boardwalk area. The new “Boardwalk Deli” that will replace Boardwalk Bakery is set to open late summer 2022! 🥪 🍰 🥪 🍰 🥪 🍰 🥪 🍰 🥪 🍰 🥪 🍰 🥪 🍰 • This will be a Northeastern-style deli, with a brand new menu including bagels, sandwiches, and “a variety of desserts”. Two examples we have so far are the overstuffed warm pastrami Rueben, and a hand-piped cannoli with a chocolate Mickey on one end. The deli will be open for breakfast lunch and dinner. And if this is truly a Northeastern-style deli, I should be able to order a baconeggandcheesesaltpepperketchup on a roll with no problem. So we’ll see how that goes 😂. Everything is changing so fast over at the Boardwalk. We already have a new ice cream shop, the deli must be weeks away, and ESPN Club is now beginning to get demolished to make room for the new restaurant, The Cake Bake Shop. And that’s just on one end of the Boardwalk, because the lobby inside the hotel will also be getting a new look as well!

I’ve always looked forward to grabbing breakfast there whenever staying at The Boardwalk, Yacht or Beach Club! But I am here for this!! Looks and sounds delicious! Time for a super awkward intro post! ✨ My name is Kristina & I'm a mom of two who has been married 15 years this December. Food review -> Boardwalk Bakery I visited the Boardwalk Bakery last week to try what they offered and got the Butter Butter Breakfast sandwich as well as a Cold Brew Joffrey’s Coffee and a Mickey Cinnamon Roll. 1) Butter Butter Sandwich: 3/5 This was good! The bread was a bit darker than I expected and it fell apart, hence the lowered star rating, but I enjoyed it! 2) Caramel Cold Brew Coffee: 3/5 I’m still learning to like coffee, but this was decent! 3) Mickey Mouse Cinnamon Roll: 4.5/5 The only thing that could’ve made this better was if it was hot and fresh.
