Thought it was a good time to introduce myself... I'm Stephen, the guy behind Tacoma Knife. At my first job interview, the hiring manager at Perkins in Bismarck, ND asked if I wanted to be a busser or a cook. I made a choice and never looked back. Many years, and many kitchens later I am currently working as a Chef in Seattle and am learning and building a new business with Tacoma Knife. I've got the shop set up at home and will continue to work full time and sharpen on the "weekends" until I'm able to segue fully to this new path. It’s just way easier to cut wood if the axe is sharp. Abe Lincoln said if someone gave me 6 hours to cut down a tree I would spend the first 4 hours sharpening the axe. The point, evidently, we can all lose our edge making everything we do more difficult. Sometimes we need to re-group.
