🕊 | Bizar (swipe)... precies een jaar geleden liep ik er nog zo bij en ging het tot de bevalling iedere dag slechter met mij 🙁 Ik voelde mij na de fotoshoot met Lieke niet lekker.... grieperig, had een koortsachtig gevoel over mij heen en ook mijn enkels begonnen plotseling op te zwellen. Ik kreeg verschillende onderzoeken bij de verloskundige en werd, wegens mijn hoge bloeddruk, keer op keer doorverwezen naar het ziekenhuis. Ik was een zwangerschapsvergiftiging aan het ontwikkelen en moest eigenlijk zo snel mogelijk bevallen. In de tussentijd kreeg ik ook een medische indicatie, omdat Norah een te grote baby was (macrosomie). Norah zou, net als Lieke, met 38 weken zwangerschap gehaald worden middels een inleiding en dat zou ook meteen een HELLP-syndroom kunnen voorkomen. De inleiding werd gepland en daar zat ik dan... Een tijd waar ik niet altijd prettig naar terug kijk. Een tijd wat mij doet herinneren aan mijn traumatische bevalling(en). B A B Y U P D A T E 🌸 | Woehoeee Norah is alweer 11 maanden oud. Tijd om weer een update met jullie te delen: 💤 Vrijwel iedere nacht, stipt om 03.00 uur, wordt Norah wakker. We proberen van alles. We laten haar weleens brabbelt in bed liggen, geven haar een flesje, nemen haar bij ons in bed, nemen haar mee naar beneden... en ja, ik weet het... het gaat waarschijnlijk tegen alle slaapadviezen in, maar we willen ook voorkomen dat Lieke wakker wordt en op een gegeven moment ben je ook gewoon moe en radeloos. Ik heb daarom toch maar een slaapcoach gevraagd om binnenkort mee te denken, want ik weet niet hoelang we dit nog zo kunnen volhouden. 🍌 Norah is een grote baby en heeft eigenlijk altijd trek. Ik probeer een beetje een balans te vinden, dat ze niet de hele dag aan het eten is maar ook geen honger heeft. Ik merk dat ik het nog wel lastig vind om grote stukken eten aan te bieden. Misschien komt het omdat Lieke 2 jaar geleden zich ernstig heeft verslikt in een stuk fruit. Voor Norah prak ik nu bijvoorbeeld gekookte worteltjes wat grover i.p.v. zo in de hand te geven. Wat is loslaten soms toch lastig. 🍼 Op dit moment krijgt Norah nog 3 flesvoedingen op een dag. Eén rond 07.00 uur, één rond 13.00 uur en de laatste rond 18.30 uur. Aangezien Norah bijna 1 jaar is, is het advies van het consultatiebureau om de middagfles af te bouwen. Dat gaat nog leuk worden, want ik merk aan alles dat ze die nog heel graag wil. ✨️ Wat ontwikkelt Norah zich in een rap tempo. Het leek even stil te staan, maar ineens kan ze stabiel zitten, snel tijgeren, beginnend kruipen en wil ze steeds vaker staan of stapjes zetten. Ook mentaal maakt ze ineens sprongen. Herkent ze onze namen, brabbelt ze erop los en speelt ze met een gedetailleerde blik. 🤍 Dat maakt ook dat ze de laatste maand wat vaker "gefrustreerd" oogt. Het lijkt wel alsof ze meer wil, dan ze nu nog kan. En dat gedrag is best vermoeiend, voor haar... maar ook voor ons. Desondanks is het het heerlijk om haar (en natuurlijk Lieke) om ons heen te hebben en ga ik alvast een beetje 'emo' worden van het idee dat ze alweer bijna 1 jaar is 🥹 Nog meer kindjes die net 1 zijn geworden of bijna 1 jaar worden? 🥳 • •

It was the week of Hanuman Janmostav, so I took this opportunity to connect Soham more to the roots by getting him the play by @studiomaniams - Paheli- connect to your roots!! Actually, it is a game for ages 7 plus but I asked the founder if I can try it out with Soham as he has read the book set- Ramayana for kids and knows the whole story and also talks about different characters. I am so glad, we tried it out!! He was so engrossed to know more about all the festivals and the Ramayana/ Mahabharata through the puzzles. I did a lot of talking and reading but everything was so satisfying! ❤️❤️ It is so important to connect to our roots and encourage kids to do the same. There is so much of wisdom to learn from the Ramayana, Mahabharata and the Bhagwad Gita! Puzzles like the Paheli help the kids to go deeper into the morals of the stories and understand them better! While reading about the Rudraksha or why we break a coconut before starting something new, I actually handed him the Rudraksha Mala or the coconut for him to understand the concepts more. It is so important to understand the meaning before following any ritual. Thank you @studiomaniams for taking the effort to connects our kids to our roots❤️ I felt more and more connected to my roots and my little one 💕💕💕

Soham loves to goof around making different faces 😄. We got him the Rasa toy set from @StudioManiams and he has been glued to it, as it combines his two loves - making faces and blocks 😆. The book that comes along has a variety of face options that Soham can make with the different blocks, and then show that emotion on his face as well! I also helped him relate the emotions with that of the different characters from his story books, as well as his own reactions to different situations - and that’s a real fun exercise!

Wat een klus avontuur was dat. Tips en ons hele klusproces staan in "mijn highlights". Wij zijn nog volop bezig in huis, dus dat betekent dat ik regelmatig wat deel. Eerstvolgende project: woonkamer / cinewall. 💼 Ik heb een paramedische opleiding (ergotherapie) afgerond en werk 32 uur per week bij een gemeente als accountmanager & toezichthouder in het Sociaal Domein (Wmo & Jeugdwet). Nu ik ouderschapsverlof heb ingezet, werk ik tijdelijk 24 uur per week. 🤍 (Gekke) feitjes over mij? Ik kan heel véél eten, ben gek op actie & Sci-Fi films, heb de droom om ooit op een Harley-Davidson te rijden, houd van psychologie en vind het heerlijk om Sriracha saus op mijn broodje kaas of spiegelei te doen. 🏃🏼♀️ In mijn vrije tijd ben ik altijd druk druk druk: poetsen, boodschappen halen, opruimen, wassen draaien, lijstjes maken (die nooit af komen) en bovenal een speelkameraad voor Lieke en Norah. Hobby's?
