Having completed reading chapters detailing Leonardo da Vinci's time in Milan in his biography (penned by Walter Isaacson), I kinda miss Milan even more today. While planning my travel last year, I quite underestimated Milan and booked for only 1.5 days in this majestic city - I was awestruck the whole time while I was there! (Spot the moon in pics..was even more magical in reality) You would have seen enough pics of Duomo di Milano, I instead want to share about the Sforza Castle, which sort of served as Leonardo's work station when he first arrived in Milan during 1482 as a thirty year old. It is here that Leonardo deepened his observations and imagination while interpreting the interconnectedness of art, science and architecture. He often skated between fantasia and reality, with his observation serving as fooder for his imagination - both skills that led him to paint the greatest painting of all time, the Mona Lisa and several other works, the skills of which remain unmatched to this day. I'm just amazed even thinking that I got to spend quality time by this Castle, walking along the same foot steps as Leonardo would have, perhaps thinking about 'The Masque of Planets' or all the experimentation he was intending while painting 'The Last Supper', which he painted in the nearby Santa Maria delle Grazie or just enjoying the moon-soaked fountain in the piazza while observing the emotions of people around and how their facial muscles changed accordingly, making sketches of the same in his now world famous notes. Book 52 of 2024. This was my first book by Ashley Poston and I loved it! I read it for one of my book clubs and was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it! I loved every character and was rooting for Clementine and Iwan. Iwan was adorable and Clementine needed a win. I like how the time travel played out, leading them to each other. I will definitely check out more of this author’s books! Synopsis: Sometimes, the worst day of your life happens, and you have to figure out how to live after it. So Clementine forms a plan to keep her heart safe: work hard, find someone decent to love, and try to remember to chase the moon. The last one is silly and obviously metaphorical, but her aunt always told her that you needed at least one big dream to keep going. And for the last year, that plan has gone off without a hitch. In the winter of that year, Molly Anne, the daughter of Flash Cordan, entered a time machine that her uncle Nike Besla had constructed in his basement in Berkeley, California. It was the typical time machine with lots of spinning magnets and sparks flying from a dozen coils thick as hemp ropes that you find holding freighters at the piers. Molly Anne was 23, and brainy. Knew her calculus and the equations then known for traveling at greater speeds than light itself. She was also an able Sierra hiker and nature buff. On December 21, 1931, she entered Besla's time machine. For blocks, the power around her uncle's house went out for 2 minutes. Then, she was gone. Last week, she reappeared in Berkeley, at first, as a nebulous figure on Telegraph Avenue. In a matter of seconds, she became a solid human again. She appeared to be about 40 years old. Witnesses claim that she spoke of several planets she had visited near the center of the galaxy. In her hands, she showed them a strange projector that opened a door into the vacuum of space and time. Five people walked through the open door, and were gone. Nary a hair was found of these folks. Molly Anne left the scene through the same open door. A glass disk was all that was found near where she had stood. It shone of its own accord. Mystery piled onto mystery. Eye of the Tiger (Primeval Photography - 1) An Anomoly has been detected in the Jungles of China. The Anomoly brings a Yutyrannus from the Cretacous and unfortunately a Tiger is the first to greet its Presence. The Tiger tries to stand taller then the Tyrannosaur and scare it, but this carnivore isnt scared and grabs and throws the Big cat at a log. Before going in for the killing blow. This is some of the best editing and has one of my favourite pictures I've ever done in it. For those who don't know its part of a new series of pictures that I'm going to do based on the TV series Primeval from 2007-2012, I'll be making Dioramas going outside taking pictures to put Prehistoric Animals in real world situations, from appearing from Asia to Brazil, to urban to outside, these animals and the anomolies will appear anywhere and everywhere. And boom there we have it! The Cyber Truck 3D Metal model in all of its glory!! This build was a ton of fun and quite easy to build. Normally with car models we tend to see some interesting details that can be tricky to make. With this cyber truck model that is not the case. Yes we still have the funky bumper parts that we all know and love from other car models but because these parts are so big, the bumpers come together with minimal difficulty. I do wish these pictures came out better and they would have if this model was not such a dust magnet. I wiped with model down for a least an hour and then used white gloves to handle it. The gloves left fuzzy parts with every touch and no matter how many times I wiped it down with a microfibre cloth it still looks like this. I guess you could say it models the Cyber Truck in more then one way 😜 But I know you want to build one too.. and that leads us to a few questions like: what are the tricky bits?, how do we get the bumpers done right? and why is Space X involved? These are all great questions and we are going to get the answers on this episode of Groove Builders!
