Some important things to keep in mind when buying items from Etsy. First and most importantly is google search, yep, if you Google search an item on Etsy and purchase through that search we are charged for that honour. On top of this there’s the Etsy standard charges, which have increased greatly. Often I’m asked why I charge so much for a mouse, but to be quite honest I’m definitely not charging enough. Due to these charges I’m seriously thinking about reopening our own website, even then there are charges but not like Etsys. So there will be less items on Etsy and the possibility of having more functions would be great, something to keep an eye on in the next few weeks. Some of the best advice I got at the beginning of my treatment was to go for a walk every day. Sometimes I shuffle. Sometimes I stride. Sometimes I have to sit down and rest. But walking has stood me in good stead. Sometimes I see blossom, sometimes I see frosty leaves. I often see dogs and robins and once I saw a magical bird with brightly coloured wings. Since my surgery, a week ago I’ve been walking with a drain attached to me - gathering the fluid that would have otherwise been gathering where my lymph nodes were removed because they had had cancer in them. I’ve been carrying it around in a leopard print bag to make it feel more normal. Yesterday I thought it would get taken out when I saw my consultant but it’s sill with me for a few more days. And that’s fine. Uncomfortable, disappointing but fine. I’m sharing as this is the reality of what my cancer treatment looks like this week. Drains and blossom. Ups and downs. Walks and naps. All the things. If we chat on zoom you probably won’t see my leopard print bag but it’s there. For me it’s a reminder that what you see isn’t always the whole story. Good Morning Monday! 😀 Funny story, my mom and I were standing on her porch last night saying our goodbyes, when I saw what appeared to be a bird standing on a tree stump on the neighbors lawn. I said to my mom “what kind of bird do you think that is?” and my mom said “I don’t know but what is that thing it’s standing on?” and then I said “got me, oh well who cares gotta go bye.” lol. So I jumped in my car pulled out and stopped to see what kind of bird 🦅 it was. And that’s when I saw that it was actually a rabbit 😳 🤣🤣🤣. Of course he pulled his ears down as soon as I got close, and sat there like he thought he was invisible 🤣🤣🤣. I rolled up my window and laughed and while driving home, all I could think 🤔 about was ‘how could I have possibly thought that was a bird on a stump’🤨. 🤣🤣🤣.
