Something about the word CHALLENGE makes me work even HARDER. In every LTL challenge, I work alongside every athlete. Every challenge is an opportunity to create a plan or guide to reach my goals. I am motivated by every athlete’s hard work so much that it fuels my motivation to push myself even harder. Intentional 50 was a challenge for me to take my training to the next level. I created a 50-day fitness plan designed to accelerate my physical capabilities and mental well-being. And although I cannot “win” a challenge, the WIN for me is the progress I see. Nutrition is one of the biggest pieces of our health and fitness journey we overcomplicate. What I often see when women try to make changes to their nutrition, is they put themselves in such a restrictive state that’s not sustainable based off of what other people told them to do in order to get results. They jump all in wanting to make a positive change in their health, only to find themselves strict on a diet for about 2 weeks, which then causes them to: 👉🏻Be starving 👉🏻To lose all interest because they crave something not on their “plan” OR 👉🏻To get lost in temptations around them from family and friends. Yes, you do have to have a little control when trying to reach specific goals or just live a healthy lifestyle, but restrictions are not where it’s at. In The Beauty Brigade, I focus on teaching women how to live a healthy sustainable lifestyle, while eating the foods they enjoy. It starts with making small adjustments to the foods you currently eat and looking at how you can make it a bit more healthy. Yes, it may require switching a few ingredients out, or maybe even measuring a few items so you’re not going overboard. Be mindful of the quantity you are consuming and focus on keeping your meals simple. The less ingredients the better. Most importantly, remember that you are in control. When it comes to ordering food or making it at home, you have the option to have your food prepared the way you need in order to keep you in line with your goals. You don’t have to settle for plain chicken , broccoli, and rice … you can have your pancakes and eat them too! Trust me, I do this regularly. But what I’ve learned was how to recreate my pancakes so they fit my dietary restrictions and are completely healthy, made with good ingredients. You can do it too!
