“I had a conversation with Lucy Fisher...She said, quote unquote, 'Women were being hired as secretaries. That was all you could find. So for us to be able to come here and work with [Laddie] was a big deal.' And that really stuck with me because I was fresh out of college and just beginning on my career path...I grew up with a lot of strong women around me; my sisters, my mother, my grandmother...And I would visit my dad at work and there would be all these strong women around him in positions of power that weren’t just behind desks with typewriters.
