Just us and the dolphins in Helford River. Well, perhaps there were a few more boats than just our lovely pilot cutter, but as skipper I do love sailing April to June and Sept to October in places like the Helford River. It still feels like a time warp or Daphne du Maurier novel with only trad wooden boats gliding into the wooded estuary. The dolphins still think they are in the wild and not a tourist theme park. Off season. Best time to sail and get close to nature. These are bottlenosed dolphin, photo by Colin Speedie, in the days of 35mm film. La mitología griega dice que emergió agarrada por el tridente de Poseidón, pero fue una isla flotante hasta que Zeus la ató con cadenas al fondo del mar, para convertirla en un lugar seguro para Leto, al abrigo de los celos de Hera, para el nacimiento de Apolo y Artemisa. Como lugar de nacimiento de Apolo fue uno de los lugares en los que se rendía culto a este dios, y la isla fue posesión del dios que la cambió con Poseidón.
