Having to tell a family that they need to return to a country which has sentenced them to imprisonment for life because of their choice in faith; just because a bunch of entitled and detached politicians think it’s best to do so, has become the most difficult conversation that I have ever had in the 29 years of my life. Here’s a list of people who will be impacted by this bill: 1- families seeking asylum with their children as they flee a country which has unfairly prosecuted them 2- students sacrificing everything they have and know just so they can access some what of a normal life as their home country is refusing to do so 3- Australian citizens who at one stage left their home country in hope of a better future. We believe that human rights are relational and therefore must be participated in and shared to be realised.
