I canโt believe it. Our baby is 1 year old! Itโs been a wild, joyful ride and we are so lucky youโre ours. We love making you laugh. Such a huge, happy grin - often including this cute, silly scrunched nose. Youโre a frequent flyer with 6 round trip flights under your belt and having visited 5 states. Our social butterfly may be the squirmiest baby but youโre also the smiliest so you charm everyone around usโฆenough for them ignore your high pitched squeals of joy. Youโre still a really good eater. Broccoli is your favorite veggie and strawberries may have taken the lead for favorite fruit. Although youโre starting to get bored of the go-to foods which you make known by demonstrating your potential in softball with the arm that goes into throwing your food. Me: wiping avocado off the blinds. You still like your teething crackers and you can open the puffs container yourself - reaching your whole arm in to get a snack. You can sign โall done.โ You have a 6 teeth - 4 on top, 2 bottom. Lots of babbling. I love how expressive you are. You enjoy dada throwing you up in the air and your giggles are the best. Paging through your board books is your favorite activity - that and pulling everything you can reach down off the pantry shelves. Oh and letโs not forget your obsession with splashing in Bodhiโs water bowl. You stand up and push your walker all by yourself - on your tippy toes. Youโre not tolerating bows, barrettes, clips, headbands, flowers or ribbons on your head/in your hair these days. You like toys where you can push buttons but not nearly as much as you like our phones, and remote controls. Started throwing wooden blocks into the cube with good aim. When we ask you, โHow big is Avery?โ Pause and say โSoooo big!โ you triumphantly throw your arms up into the air above your head. And hugs. You finally are giving hugs. You hold on so tight when we pick you up. I love holding you close. But itโs not just us you want to cuddle. Dumbo and your other stuffies get squeezed so tight then you burrow your face into them. 1 jaar gecorrigeerd! ๐ โ โ 3 mei 2023, de uitgerekende datum van Maxim en een speciale dag voor ons. Vandaag zou hij eigenlijk 1 jaar geworden zijn, het is echt zot om erbij stil te staan dat zijn echte verjaardag al dik 3 maanden geleden is. โ โ Toen ik na bijna 3 jaar infertiliteit eindelijk zwanger was, en dan ook nog eens spontaan, voelde het echt bijna too good to be true om eindelijk een positieve zwangerschapstest in mijn handen te hebben. Ik had twijfels en angst van in het begin, angst dat het zou mislopen. โ โ Iets wat er velen onder jullie niet zullen weten is dat de eerste uitgerekende datum van Maxim 29 april was, onze trouwdatum. Na de tweede echo werd deze datum herzien naar 3 mei, onze verlovingsdatum. โ โ na jarenlang me teleurstellingen en slecht nieuws te krijgen was ik dit zo gewend, maar toen we deze data wisten we het zeker; dit babyโtje is meant to be!โ โ Mijn zwangerschap is helaas toch weer geรซindigd in een nachtmerrie, met de vroeggeboorte van Maxim, maar hij heeft zich overal doorgevochten en heeft laten zie hoe verdomd graag hij hier wilt zijnโ โ Het hele NICU traject heb ik vastgehouden aan zijn uitgerekende datum, ons ventje is gewoon meant to be, hij moet het halen, dat kan gewoon niet anders!โ โ In de donkerste momenten was dit mijn enige houvast om verder te kunnen en niet alle moed te verliezen.
