A few years ago I never thought I would even have a baby, let alone ever imagine that I would be feeding that baby in the ocean mesmerised by the beautiful surroundings. I can get so caught up in the day to day tasks, that I don't often take the time out to process how special every moment with him is. Sitting in the ocean with only the sound of waves crashing around us, I was able really soak everything in. The immense privilege I have to be blessed with a baby after previous struggles. That I have the ability to feed and provide nourishment for him too. I'll be the first to admit the last 9 months have been extremely challenging, however I'm so full of love and incredibly grateful that I get to be his mum 🥹 Images by the beautiful @lauriemarechalphotography that I'll treasure forever x
It’s not even May yet and I’m already so done with this year! We’ve had a really tough few days with Robyn being really poorly again…really bad stomach pain and vomiting 😩 she’s lost weight where she hasn’t eaten properly in days and all I feel like I’ve done is cry. I couldn’t be more proud right now. Over the weekend my son’s dance studio put on their spring performance. This year they did Mary Poppins & Aiden had a lead role of Michael. He did a wonderful job acting & dancing. My mom heart was overflowing. I love that he has found something that makes him so happy & can’t help but smile watching him pursue his passion. ☂️🪁 The whole prediction was amazing & all the dancers were remarkable! I will forever be in awe of how the studio owner puts together such astonishing performances, coming up with every little detail. I am so glad we found such a wonderful dance studio/family. Now we’re on a dance break till the summer camp & then regular classes will start back up in the fall. The first round of Motherhood Mini Sessions is complete and I can’t get over little Hazel’s smile during her session. Watching her grow from last year to this year was such a treat and I enjoyed catching up with her family.
I love shooting at golden hour!! That beautiful soft lit time of day, the reason for this is the light is so much softer. Your eyes are also more adjusted and you won’t be squinting. Sometimes my parents are concerned kids will be tired or cranky for family shoots at that time of day I tell them not to worry because I promise to make them my new BFF’s!! And I do recommend trying to put them down for a later nap that day. I promise the session will go better than you think because I don’t expect perfection or for them to sit and smile. We have fun and play so I can capture your true interactions together!! Trust me on this one, you’ll be so glad you did!! The joys of motherhood include watching your children grow and learn, feeling a special bond with your child, and having the opportunity to nurture and shape a new life. However, motherhood also comes with its own set of challenges and pains, such as the loss of freedom and privacy, and the exhaustion that comes with caring for a child. A warm summers day at the farm 🐮 this was a really last min day for us but those types of days always turn out the best! I seen the weather this morning and got Dan to book the afternoon off to do something fun with the kids. The twins did 4 hours pram free & where so good. I love how independent they are both becoming.. but deep down sad that another stage is about to pass by sometime soon. 🥺❤️🩹but, this little taste of summer so far makes me really, really happppy! 🫶🏼
