THE FAVOURITE: PODER Y CORRUPCIÓN DIARIA A inicios del siglo 18 en Inglaterra, la reina Ana ocupa el trono y su mejor amiga Sarah es la que gobierna en su lugar, pero cuando una nueva ayudante llega, su encanto opaca a Sarah. Días después de haber presenciado la abominación sobrevalorada de "El sacrificio del ciervo sagrado" del director y guionista griego #yorgoslanthimos (The Lobster, Dogtooth), cuyo guión absolutamente inverosímil y ridículo, que falla rotundamente como hipertexto (texto inspirado en otro) de la tragedia "Ifigenia en Aulide", no pudo ser camuflado por un excelente trabajo actoral y una dirección reminiscente a la filmografía de Kubrick, entré a ver "The Favourite" aterrado y al mismo tiempo entusiasmado, debido a su reparto y los galardones y nominaciones al Oscar recibidos en su momento. Por suerte mis expectativas fueron superadas al ver lo infravalorada que está esta cinta incluso con todo ese historial y laureles recibidos. Yorgos Lanthimos convirtió lo que en manos de otro director hubiera sido otro film biográfico genérico Oscar-bait y con inclusión forzada en una experiencia especial, desde un guión único por parte de #deborahdavis y #tonymcnamara que fusiona drama y humor negro plagado de diálogos afilados y frases hilarantes, el maravilloso diseño de arte que recrea fielmente la estética dieciochesca de Gran Bretaña, la fotografía de #robbieryan con un gran uso de la luz natural, planos subjetivos que enfatizan la jerarquía de los personajes y que tienen suma relevancia en el cierre del film, usos apropiados de la cámara lenta que enfatiza a los monarcas como una bola de trogloditas pretenciosos sin que se vuelva tedioso como otras películas y series dedicadas a burlarse del 1% de la sociedad sin ofrecer nada más a cambio, un montaje más complejo de lo que aparenta ser del cual no puedo decir mucho (para eso les recomiendo leer el maravilloso post que ha escrito @eksistentialismecinema luego de ver el film), usos esparcidos de lentes de foco de pez que sugieren la carencia de privacidad de los miembros y que ubican al espectador junto a esos espías omniscientes y un reparto integrado por grandes estrellas que entregan el (👇)

⚡️Animation Week⚡️ Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (Bob Persichetti, Peter Ramsey, & Rodney Rothman, 2018) What hasn’t been said about this near masterpiece. If you are reading this and somehow, for whatever reason, you haven’t seen “Into the Spider-Verse”, it is everything you’ve heard about it. It deserves all of its flattery and adulation. After a recent rewatch in preparation for the also widely acclaimed sequel film, it is cemented into our minds how just downright incredible this movie is. “Into the Spider-Verse” is one of those films that just absolutely nails it in every cinematic and technical way. The animation alone is quite enough to inspire and awe. The colors are everywhere but used in a way that feels intent every time. Most of the animation sequences can feel wild yet have purpose whether it’s pushing a story beat, strengthening a character, or playing as an easter egg to draw in the viewer. The number of styles in animation sounds like a recipe for disaster but the execution is smooth and even makes everyone stick more off the screen. Even with a catchy & well-fitting score to boot, dynamic & bold shot choices, and animation designs that delight the eyes, this film takes it a step further and turns in a well told story about acceptance, family, pressure, individuality, and a number of more that hit home to the viewer. As the journey plays out, it's so easy to become attached to Miles. Feeling his frustrations along with him while he comes of age as both Spider-Man and a kid trying to find his own way. The movie is also genuinely funny, which is another notch in the belt for the makers of this film. The voice cast deserve their praise too as Shameik Moore & Jake Johnson really sell the bond both Miles and Peter reluctantly grow into. Hailee Steinfeld is cool and confident, with the amount of quirky that makes her fit perfect into the fold. “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” is a true love letter to the character that everyone has adored for decades over. 👇CONTINUED IN COMMENTS👇

SPIDERMAN: INTO THE SPIDER VERSE Cuando vi los trailers de la película en su momento, creí que lo que me esperaba sería otra historia genérica de superhéroes cuyo único mérito sería su excelente animación, además de tener otro nuevo #spiderman en menos de una década 🤦‍♂️. Me alegré totalmente cuando vi que ninguno de los avances le hizo un gramo de justicia a lo que fue este extraordinario film. #intothespiderverse es sin lugar a dudas la mejor película de Spiderman (aun no vi que tal está la secuela recién estrenada), uno de los mejores films de animación de las últimas décadas y una de las mejores adaptaciones de un cómic de superhéroes que se hayan hecho. Hay MUY pocas cosas que podría criticar en contra del film porque cada aspecto está estupendamente trabajado de pies a cabeza: -El extraordinario estilo de animación que tardó 4 AÑOS en ser completada y que abrió las puertas a producciones como Arcane, El Gato Con Botas: El Último Deseo, Entergalactic, etc. -Una asombrosa labor con las actuaciones de voz, con grandes actores como #shameikmoore (Miles Morales), #jakejohnson (Peter B Parker), #haileesteinfeld (Spider Gwen), #mahershalaali (Tio Aaron), #bryantyreehenry (Jefferson Davies), #chrispine (Peter Parker), #lilytomlin (la tía May), #nicolascage (mi favorito como Spiderman Noir) y #lievschreiber (Wilson Fisk a.k.a Kingpin). -Un guión bien redondo que no gasta un solo segundo puesto en pantalla, que logra demarcar y desarrollar bien a cada uno de sus múltiples personajes, a la vez que balancea su tiempo en pantalla para no opacar al protagonista, que sabe explotar el concepto interesante pero siempre arriesgado del multiverso, y que logra balancear los momentos cómicos con los dramáticos, cada uno trabajado de manera impecable. -Un guión técnico que aprovecha el estilo único de animación para presentar escenas de acción, introducciones de personajes con voz en off, y diálogos internos como si estuvieran sacados directamente de las viñetas de un cómic. -Y la inmaculada banda de sonido con temas como "Sunflower" de Post Malone, "Scared Of The Dark" de Lil Wayne, Ty Dolla $ign y XXXTENTACION, "What's Up Danger" de Blackway & Black Caviar, (👇)

Dragon ball FighterZ I was never a competitive guy and never will be, but when I saw the trailer of FighterZ back in E3 2017 It immediately gave me Budokai 3 Vibes and I knew we are in for a return to shape for DBZ Games and that is what it was 😍; awesome Story Mode, lots of choices in characters and above all, Beautiful 😍 Nothing less to expect from Arc System Works 👌 4. Ni No Kuni 2 Revenant Kingdom While it wasn't the sequel every one hoped for, to me personally it was a magical experience in its own right; beautiful world, lively cities, utmost care in details, On point Voice acting (Japanese) and a simple yet entertaining battle system. I couldn't hate the game and instead loved it for what it was. 3. Valkyria Chronicles 4 The 10 Year wait was over and MAN it's just like before but better (mechanics wise) the watercolored graphics, the unique 3rd Person strategy mash up, the awesome cast of characters and the hard battles 😃 man having the game in my hands felt surreal and indeed the experience was (almost) everything I wanted and then some more 😍😊 2. God Of War The Return of the New and Improved Kratos did much more than perhaps anyone had expected. The journey across the 9 realms, the storytelling, the father son relationship, the bloodied fights, the Valkyries, The Platimum Trophy. It was a complete experience from start to finish. #2018InMoments Year Of Gintama 😊 As A Gintama Fanboy This year was a rollercoaster of every thing Gintama. Comedy, Seriousness, Fights, Twists, Emotional Moments. Gintama's Final Arc Aired this year and every damned episode was a masterpiece. Every Sunday night was a Gintama night for me. I'd close the lights lie down blanket on, and play the episode 😊 (Cozy Vibes 😃) and it went on for 25 Weeks 😊 I felt an emptiness inside after it was all done 😢 My Yorozuya Crew Waved goodbye IN THE MOST TROLLING WAY 😂 like the last episode aired and a serious cool scene was happening and all and then mid scene they cut off and start insulting the mangaka😂 in the most gintama way the anime ended and I couldn't even get I was laughing with tears in my eyes 😂 Hideaki Sorachi trolled Jump to the point of continuing in their monthly magazine because was in the climax for 3 years 🤣🤣🤣 Forever the best thing I've ever seen, forever grateful for it being there for me in my darkest days, forever the greatest anime of all time.
