Ich möchte mich bei euch bedanken! Heute war das letzte live Neumond Breathcamp in 2023! Für mich geht ein wildes Jahr zu Ende. Egal wie groß die Herausforderungen waren, die mich haben wachsen lassen, eine Sache hat mich immer wieder eingenordet und an meinen Platz als Atemaktivistin erinnert: der Beyoutiful Tribe auf Insight Timer! Ich bin so dankbar für diesen Ort an dem gleichgesinnte Menschen zusammenfinden, um sich in chaotischen Zeiten zu verbinden, gemeinsam zu wachsen, zu zentrieren und zu entspannen. Nach jedem Breath Camp, das ich ausrichte, fühle ich mich erfüllt und tief berührt von der Kraft dieser online Community. Trotz Screens und der räumlichen Trennung schaffen wir es jedes Mal wieder uns aus dem Herzen zu verbinden, uns verletzlich zu zeigen mit Herausforderungen wie Träumen und im Innern einen Ort des Friedens zu finden. Alles gespeist durch die Kraft des bewussten Atems - für mich nach wie vor die sanfteste transformative Methode, die es gibt! Mein „Selbstbestimmt Leben“-Kurs wurde von 888 SchülerInnen absolviert und meine 4 Meditationen wurden insgesamt 2817 Mal gespielt. WAS NEU IST: In meiner Gruppe, “Beyoutiful Tribe“ findest du ab morgen, 11.12. an jedem Wochentag eine 7:30 Uhr Dankbarkeitsmeditation. Ich glaube an die Kraft der Routinen und genau die brauchen wir gerade sehr, um geerdet, fokussiert und entspannt das Jahr zu beenden. I’m sharing a sneak peek of my “Broken & Beautiful” photo shoot in honor of the last day of Alopecia Awareness Month. Long & vulnerable post... As I was driving to the photo shoot, I was asking myself “Why, why am I doing this? Why do I feel this urge to take these photos and for heavens sake why would I share them?” Funny thing, I was so caught up in my head thinking that I didn’t even realize that my map app took me 30 miles in the wrong direction. I was 45 minutes late to the location, racing against the setting sun with 15 minutes remaining of “optimal lighting”. As we rushed to grab the best lighting, halfway through the shoot I realized I was still wearing my AirPods! Let’s just say “hot mess express”. But then something magical happened. A friend arrived to show her support. It was a beautiful evening. I forgot I was outside having pictures taken without my wig on. I felt relaxed. I felt beautiful. And the pictures turned out beautiful. The why... I read countless posts and messages daily from women who are battling the remorse, depression, shame, sadness, anxiety, mystery of losing their hair to Alopecia. It can be a very sad and lonely journey. My daughter once told me that she thinks Alopecia has made me a better person. I believe she is right. I know for certain I have learned a lot about who I am and who I am not. I’ve learned not to compromise my values. To be compassionate toward others. And the importance of taking care of my physical and mental health. I believe God’s calling for me has always been to get through the “hard” in life so I can teach others who are trying to get through their “hard”. Despite the heaviness of the world, I have found ways to make my world feel lighter. I quit a job that wasn’t serving me. Bravely started a new job in which I have to learn the ropes virtually. A space to breathe... isn’t that what we all need right now? I have found during this era of more time at home that my surroundings and environment are really important to me.
