El 28 de Marzo de 1994 fue lanzado “The Division Bell”, el decimocuarto álbum de estudio de Pink Floyd. La última colaboración entre los miembros fundadores David Gilmour, Nick Mason y Richard Wright y sin la participación de Roger Waters. El álbum aborda temas como la comunicación, la alienación y la reconciliación, reflejando las tensiones personales y creativas dentro de la banda en ese momento. La portada del álbum, diseñada por Storm Thorgerson, presenta dos cabezas metálicas gigantes que representan la división y la falta de comunicación. El álbum se inicia con la instrumental “Cluster One”, que recuerda tiempos pasados con este toque tan distintivo. “What Do You Want From Me”, temazo con la voz y guitarra de Gilmour acompañado de un coro espectacular. “Poles Apart”, estilo folk y haciendo alusión a sus anteriores miembros. “Lost For Words”, una belleza acústica. “Marooned”, una canción instrumental con un solo de guitarra solo al alcance de los más grandes. “A Great Day For Freedom”, tema que trata los cambios que se van dando en la vida y el mundo, un himno con un final apoteósico. “Wearing The Inside Out”, le toca el turno a la voz de Richard Wright, maravillo tema que revive el estilo clásico del grupo. “High Hopes”, Sus delicadas pinceladas de piano van construyendo poco a poco las bases sobre las que anda David Gilmour con su voz. Y esta si que es otra de esas piezas comparables a sus grandes clásicos. La parte final de guitarra es realmente hermosa y toca las notas brillantes sin hacer grandes alardes, por decirlo de alguna manera, es otra forma de llegar a la excelencia. En definitiva, una verdadera joya de álbum. El disco marcó el final de una era para Pink Floyd, ya que fue el último álbum de estudio lanzado antes de la muerte de Richard Wright en 2008. Confie em Mim é o terceiro álbum do Canastra, desta vez produzido por Charles Gavin, dos Titãs. Para este álbum, ilustrei um coração e manipulei desenhos de instrumentos de sopro retirados de enciclopédias antigas para que se encaixassem nas artérias. As tipografias tem movimentos que remetem à sonoridade dos instrumentos. Com certa inspiração burlesco-oriental - briefing passado pela banda - o design segue a essência da identidade visual dos discos anteriores. During second year my course gave us the option of picking one of four modules to work on during a 2 month period of the academic year, with each module focusing on different elements of graphic design. I decided to pick the typography module. Our final piece was to create something based around a particular typeface that was chosen for each student. I got the typeface called ‘beastly’ designed by James Edmondson. I decided to create a CD cover and sleeve as the musician band @vulfpeck named their first song from their debut album ‘Mitpeck’, ‘Beastly’. This was also inspired by the typeface, which Edmondson respected very highly.
