As a follow up to yesterday’s post, some (but definitely not all) of the sea treasures found on Crosby beach over the last two days. Hundreds of razor clams, shells and other types of sea life littered the section of the beach providing a home to Antony Gormley’s iron men. Further along, the brick beach was particularly rich in seaglass, pottery and of course, bricks 🧱 So many bricks acting as a poignant reminder of why it’s also known as the Crosby Blitz Beach and described as telling the story of lost Liverpool. Just back from visiting Crosby, one of my favourite beaches not least because it’s home to Antony Gormley’s iconic Iron Men. As it was a receding high tide when I visited this time, most of the statues were wholly or partially immersed in the sea. However, it did mean that the strandline was littered with a variety of shells and sea life that could have come straight from the pages of any guide to things to be found at the coast! #england j5 direction #york Je m’en voudrais de quitter #liverpool (une ville vraiment attachante à l’usage 😃) sans quelques souvenirs: - des #muralpainting liées au @liverpoolfc qui témoignent de l’attachement des habitants au club et à ses joueurs - j’y ajoute quelques photos du stade, situé en ville mais sans écraser son voisinage (notez: l’équipe féminine est aussi valorisée dans le ruban YNWA 👍); - l’œuvre de #antonygromley « another place » à #crosbybeach - déjà vue à La Panne, elle est toute aussi belle ici : il y a au total une centaine de ces statues sur la plage. Voilà de belles images (c’est mon avis très subjectif) pour terminer cette partie du mini voyage anglais ❤️❤️❤️🔴🔴🔴🙂🙂🙂
